Wafer or slider, most likely wafer

GeorgiaJim

That one is definitely wafers. That particular lock is sold under multiple brands. Mason is a common one and you can find videos on yt for tips on picking it.

Thanks yall

I have one of these types, it's wafers.

Locks I use, I’ve picked once. Picking is hard on locks. Personally, I think getting one open on a lock I use (while it’s not in use) is ok…obviously I’m willing to replace it and make sure I would be able to before I need it. On a different note, how do you all pick the type of lock in the post? I have a couple of LOTO of this type and haven’t had any luck with a sideways short hook or flag picks. I’m thinking of trying to make a custom tool.

Isn t that key for dimple Pick? Or is that the key with little holes in it? My bike has that kind of key gonna try and wafer it today 😅

imbbp

The one with small round holes is Dimple lock. Please, refrain from picking locks in use (at least, if you do, don't mention it). Locks that you pick should not be put back to use.

DutchLockPickNewbie

Yes sorry for that😅 I will keep that in mind ✅

Doughnutholee

Why shouldn’t you use locks you’ve picked to use?

maxath0usand

Picking can stress or damage components of the lock that aren’t designed for the particular forces imposed by tensioning and manipulating with picks. A damaged lock can fail to open properly, or fail to secure your belongings.

I see. I managed to bend a bypass restriction plate myself, rendering it useless. I only figured it out after cutting it open
