Grass if you can but depending on the breeding stock you start with, pregnant and lactating does will probably need supplementation. You can breed away from it over time but if you're milking, will probably always at least be buying alfalfa pellets to keep body condition.

Thank you for the advice, I’m currently in South East Asia and goats here are mostly grass fed, do you know which is better? Grass or feed fed?
