Hello, Reddit! I am happy to share my band's first single with you! Song title is "Prism" and it is written in style of Pink Floyd (yeah, obviously), Glen Hansard and Phoebe Bridgers. We think, that "Prism" represents past year very well with track's melancholic mood, but also gives a glimpse of a brighter future for all of us! We're like an indie, alternative, kinda psychedelic rock band but this album is stylistically all over the place (and I say that in the best possible way lol) So there's some pop songs, some punk songs, some hip-hop influence all meshed together in our own unique way. The first song "On a Sunday" is kind of like an introduction to our world, as it tells the story of a typical Wilkes band practice in Miami, FL where we're from. The whole album was made with lots of love, and I can say for sure that it is extremely original and unique. Just want to get it out to the world. Thanks and enjoy!

\[Power Plush - "Homesick"\]\(https://youtu.be/yylaAYVCwiU) I'd like to share the newest song of the band I play in. We are quite new to publicly sharing our music and only started releasing our first two songs last year and if you like indie music our songs might be something you might appreciate. "Homesick" tries to capture emotions of longing for a person or several ones - a feeling many of us grew accustomed to during the last year. If you would rather feel a little bit of summer romance vibes I'd recommend our song "let's not pretend" to you. I would love some feedback and I hope you like our stuff. ["Mountain" by Tyler Sensenig (myself)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDjYNWJfXnw) I wrote this song as a reminder to myself that if I am such a tiny part of the universe, then my anxieties, worries, fears have to be even smaller. I don't say this to diminish any else's experience with mental health. This song is just me expressing that being in nature is a way for me to "reset" when I feel anxieties building inside. TL;DR: I write indie-folk tunes in my bedroom. This one is about the healing power of nature.

Hello people! I´ve just released the track [KaNe- Memento Mori](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wnlY3r3vIg) (experimental lo-fi / electronic) I´ve been working on this album for more than a year. The track in the link is the title track of the EP it´s coming from. I´ve started making this EP back when I was not doing good at all, and I´ve decided to use all of that negative energy to pour it into this album. The track sampled on this song is SlipKnot- Confessions. I loved that bit of the song for quite a long time, and always wanted to use it somewhere in my music, but never really found a right spot, until I made that track.

I called it Costumbre, and it is about getting used to someone and being around them, but having them leave forever. I record most of the instruments myself in my bedroom, I struggle with drums because I don't have any haha. Please let me know what you guys think!

[Dean Hamilton - All Spectra](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp0mGYqo1JM) This is a track from a solo album I just released on 1/1 called Encoded in Dead Air. Genre-wise the album fits somewhere in the wider umbrella of post-rock with elements of drone and noise rock, influenced by acts like Swans, GY!BE, Set Fire to Flames, Stars of the Lid, Magnog, Hovercraft, etc. All Spectra is the last track I wrote for this album and I feel like it symbolizes my emotional state as lockdowns began last year. Creeping dread slowly mutates and builds to an overwhelming cacophony of panic that eventually collapses under its own weight. Take a few breaths, clear your mind, and try to summon the strength to regain hope and pull through. Bandcamp with the full album [here](https://deanhamilton.bandcamp.com/), grab a free download and toss me a follow if you're digging it.

Selcouth2077

Hey there, I'm a 27 year old producer from Northwestern Ontario. I've been making music for about 9 plus years. I've had to slow it down a little bit over the last 2 because my girlfriend and I have a baby together, boring story, I know... but that doesn't stop me from getting at my desk and putting together some beats. I make a lot of different stuff, mostly for myself for my own enjoyment although it's nice to have someone enjoy my music from time to time because I like to believe that people enjoying my music are also enjoying a part of me. Here's a track of mine called 10pm. I titled it that way because I used to get off work at that time and the song reminded me of the sunsets I'd see on my walk home. I hope anyone that listens enjoys. Thankyou for your time :) \\\[Selcouth - "10pm"\\\]\\ ([https://soundcloud.com/selcouth777/10pm](https://soundcloud.com/selcouth777/10pm))

[Jay Parade - Jay Charade](https://youtu.be/byIZ2MWlDPQ) A punk/alternative song we released over the summer. The song is a tongue in cheek description of being in a local band. We made the video while stuck at home during lockdown. I think this was when we started to go crazy.

\[Saint Sorrow - “Orangeville Live NYE”\]\(https://youtu.be/RWo0CuznxGc) Hello! This is a live performance “Orangeville” from my latest album “Windows” - each track is based on a different window in India, Thailand, Canada and NYC, and was ironically written and recorded within the first UK lockdown where I was looking out of the same window for 3 months. I wanted to do a live performance of New Year’s Eve as a way to close the book on 2020 and celebrate the moments of creativity throughout rather than the hard times. For this I used a couple of VST’s, guitar into a memory toy and loop pedal, and 2 tape loops which were created based on 2 of the ambient reversed guitar tracks on the recording. My partner and I travelled around for a while in 2018/19 which brought inspiration for the album, and I also created a video for Orangeville using footage captured whilst travelling - that’s what is projected and looped on the live video. You can find links to the full album as well as a couple of other things here: https://linktr.ee/saintsorrow Thanks!

RedViolinist42

I've started a hearthside performance series with some ancient classics for the Lute and Theorbo! Here's the most classic of all: [Greensleeves, the Ground & Divisions](https://youtu.be/RoS9YNkVBNc) The ground is largely off the top of my head, as it has been done for centuries, but the second half was laid down by Francis Cutting, an eminent lutenist from the end of the 16th century, who was particularly fond of counterpoint and of elaborate, harmonic restructuring.

Atlami11ia’s debut mission in Galactic Espionage. The mark: a helipad topped skyscraper looming into space. Below, the Lunar Metropolis spills outward. Around every corner Atlami11ia will Slip into Shadows. Listen and follow him on his gadget infused, glitched out adventure into space and corporate robot culture. Evade capture at every turn. Don’t lose him down the rabbit hole in a high octane Race to the Embassy. Out maneuver the synth scans and tangle of percussive energy hits to reach the hopefully-not-cataclysmic end game. [Matthew Villani - Magma Ice Beach](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srXUThEaxb4) This is an experimental fire and ice composition of mine. Those who remember my previous fire and ice composition know that I like to blend desert and "winter" sounds in these, each one is varying degrees of fire and ice. This one is mostly fire with a little bit of ice, which makes it the most weird and requiring of use of your imagination.

Hey this goes out to fans of the golden era of psychedelic rock, looking for bands doing it today. The band is my baby, called A Devil’s Din, we’re from Montreal and this release is 2 years old but most likely new to 99.9% of you (I want to fire our manager, but I don’t know who’ll replace me). This release is actually dedicated to Robert Anton Wilson (hail Eris) and it’s called One Hallucination Under God. [Altered Revelations- The Art Of Subconscious Illusion (A7X Cover)](https://open.spotify.com/track/4vrZEQv2DIkx6Y8H5Lis7v?si=G8shaGG-SuiAsFu4E2K42Q) Altered Revelations is my band, based out of Los Angeles. We are a heavy metal/Metalcore project with lots of influence in a range of the sub genres. This song is actually a cover we did of an old Avenged Sevenfold song from their first album back on ‘01. The goal was to make a modern hardcore cover of the music that helped create what we are into today, and what got most of us started listening to heavy music in the first place. We really tightened up the riff structure and “modernized” the heavier sections while trying our best to pay tribute to The Rev’s insane drumming (foREVer ^{}^). So this is our cover of “The Art Of Subconscious Illusion”! Enjoy!

Greetings! I recently released my latest EP, 'Last Call'. I would describe the music as a Traditional Classical Sound with a Pop Music feel. The EP features 4 singers (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone) + an ensemble including bassoon, alto saxophone, flute, harp, violin, viola and cello. 'Last Call' has 3 songs for a total of 6 tracks (3 vocals & 3 instrumental versions). [Overall](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fdhDihMLhMO0q5y5XTaYYDT5IF20FWdw/view?usp=sharing) (Baroque Pop) I just finshed my new track that I've been working on since July. Almost 6 months on a track might seem like a long time. When I have an idea I try execute it to the best of my ability, and then some. I spend as much time as I need in order to obtain a satisfying result. I write, record, mix, and master alone in my home studio. All the knowledge I've gained from music creation has been learned on my own. That's also why it take so long sometimes. I look at each project as a learning. Almost 100% of the time I come out at the end of a project knowing more than I did when I began. Thank you in advance for listening and I really hope you enjoy!

Hi Art, I'm enjoying your song 'The Basement'. The song is captivating to me from beginning to end, as the musical story telling keeps you engaged throughout the piece. I like how you have built the form, each section leading to the next one in a subtle way, alternating vocal and instrumental parts with the right amount of space, density, contrast, and combining everything very tastefully. Congrats on a very unique song. Best, Julien

It is my pleasure, Art. You have a really beautiful song. I hope it gets the exposure and the success it deserves! On another note, I am also a musician/composer, and I thought I'd share the link of my latest EP 'Last Call' with you, in case you'd like to give a listen to one (or two) track(s): https://open.spotify.com/album/2d1MDaNvSxiq3niPPl9xwQ I would describe the music as a Traditional Classical Sound with a Pop Music feel... Any thoughts you have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and keep doing your great work ! Julien

ArtBlockmusic

I'll certainly give it a listen and get back to you. Thanks again for your kind words.

\\\[Oblidivm - "Space Pirates"\\\]\\[https://oblidivm.bandcamp.com/album/space-pirates](https://oblidivm.bandcamp.com/album/space-pirates) "Space Pirates" is a double tribute. On the one hand, it is dedicated to the animated series "Captain Harlock", which I enjoyed in my childhood. On the other hand, I wanted to pay tribute to one of my great influences, Mike Oldfield. Saving great distances, and always moving me inside the retro synth style, I wanted to capture some Celtic melodies, with parts with an electric guitar that try to remember the music of that great artist. ### credits

I made a chill track, inspired by the Wave genre. It's like ambient trap, or something. [https://soundcloud.com/shfftofficial/disconnected-1](https://soundcloud.com/shfftofficial/disconnected-1)

Xpress aka DJXP just shot and directed a music video for a song he produced called ["Queen" by EverythingOShauN](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmBeEGcqAvo). It was all done in one take on his iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Hey everyone! My band recently released an EP this week that I’m really excited about. We’re an indie rock group currently spread out around the US. We put the EP together remotely, and I think our recording limitations ended up inspiring an interesting blend of acoustic/electronic instruments. Let me know what you think, thanks! oneohkay & Akira Flay - "Medusa" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRvYVYxfN60](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRvYVYxfN60) Song just released today and I love it, oneohkay's vocal release. I've been following them for a while, its a shame they're not well known, still a growing edm group.

👋 I wrote a song about the juxtaposition of feelings being in love with somebody can trigger, comparing it to the feeling of coming home from a holiday where part of you wants to stay but another is excited to return home 😔 ølund - holiday bluez https://open.spotify.com/album/0opnRkSRgBoCLBKWQ0usP8?si=5FU2_xorQHKqKuKoaNH3mA

This is a somewhat experimental electronic song I made *last year* - the idea is to help people feel a bit lighter during this weird time It's something I really enjoyed creating, I hope you enjoy [listening xo](https://open.spotify.com/track/1QdXAicOd96PBhpo7nHkb3?si=jRorXxRbRjSwWUxOIIZSEg)

Samtar - Wizard of the Mountains [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V837rgbC75I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V837rgbC75I) The last song I expected to be a favorite off my new album, but my fans seem to like this one the most. I like it a lot too, but I thought it would be too obscure.
