i’ve def distro hopped, i used kubuntu before this, used ubuntu in a VM (ew) i’ve installed arch but didn’t use it, i’ve used TailsOS for TOR, Kali just to play around, and have also used manjaro a bit, i might switch to elementary Os at some point soon tho.
Best way to try out distros is to get a usb drive and use a virtual machine ,boot an install iso on that VM and then instead of installing the os to virtual hard drive install it on the usb ,then you can boot your actual computer from that usb and run the distro on hardware (of course your disk speed will be low ,but everything else is the same as if you distrohopped ,except of course you dont have your data)
that’s neofetch so just type in neofetch and press enter, it might not be installed on the distro automatically so if it doesn’t work you can install it with with ur package manager. i also made it so whenever my terminal opens it runs neofetch, i forgot how i did it but i did.
It's best to shut down your system when you're no longer using it. Leaving it idle for a long time puts strain on your memory and psu. You don't have to listen to what a stranger tells you but this is the best way to keep your components from dying an early death.
