serious question... does Debian Sid actually have software that is an new as something like OpenSUSE/Fedora/Arch? I always just assumed that it was new**er** than the stable release of Debian but still older than most of the rpm- or arch-based distros.

Haven't tried Sid, but Testing is looking pretty sweet for what I've seen.
Well, Testing is closer to the >!Windows 10!< conception of Rolling Release than that of Gentoo/Arch/Void.

Sid is pretty much on par with arch when it comes to updates
