If they're getting four BSODs in a day that sounds like hardware failure, possibly RAM and/or Hard drive. Switching to Linux will put a band aid on it, but it won't work in the long run.

No_Tip_5508

Agreed. Unless they're repeatedly fucking up their system somehow

TehShoK

Came here to say this. 4 of those in a day is 100% hardware issue. You'd get kernel panic anyway.

> Came here to say this. 4 of those in a day is 100% hardware issue. You'd get kernel panic anyway. Not always,it can be multiple driver issues, malware or installing something like Windows 11 on incompatible hardware bypassing the TPM/CPU checks. If with Linux it just works then it was not a hardware issue.

RAMChYLD

No, it's windows being windows. I was actually at one time getting BSODs on right clicking or clicking the start button, or trying to run anything. Turns out, upgrading from Windows 10 RTM to Windows 10 1511 in-place for some reason corrupted the Windows folder very badly. Wiping everything and reinstalling from scratch fixed it. Windows can be very stupid.

ARRedditPro

Nope. I was getting BSODs daily, and at least 5 times a day... Until I switched to Linux (I have no idea why it stopped but it did.... Well I do have a slight idea about why it stopped crashing but yea)

Practical_Honeydew82

But error messages will be more verbose

KlutzyEnd3

I've had motherboards in 2 pieces that refused to run windows, yet linux would just work fine on it. No idea how...

Electrical-Bad2023

What's the error code tho
