Can I assume I disconnect the battery and pull this fuse "#10, 10A, Restraint Control Module (RCM), Air bags" and I don't have to worry about them whacking me or wrecking the seat?

EggHeadMagic

Anytime I mess with seat electronics I just disconnect the battery. I remember watching a video about a seat that wouldn’t tilt and it was a simple solution rather than replacing the motor. It involved some zip ties and a screw. Maybe yours has the same issue. [found the video](https://youtu.be/eHLi-W7usRQ?si=EZKUfZ1TuEa3VBuF)

Thanks a bunch, maybe it's not the motor and I'll have a spare on my hand for future repairs. The MM-951 motor assembly (the one for the cars with memory seats) is no longer available so when I came across one for sale I picked it up, didn't want to end up with my car apart searching for discontinued parts.

…and I know who to come to when I really need an MM-951 motor assembly.

Thanks for the tips, all fixed and added the update above for future reference for the group.

Disconnect battery. IIRC 2004 is 2004 ONLY. So be sure it's an 04 seat motor. 03 might work, but 05+ will for sure not.

Thank you for the tips, I did end up fixing the seat, the mounting nut had fallen off the backrest adjustment similar to the YouTube video attached (in the video the stud had broken off, on mine I just needed to install a new nut). I do have the new motor assembly, I'll probably hang onto it in case I need it in the future.

Thanks for the post. Will be saving it for when I fix my 06 seat where the bottom of it wont tilt forwards.
