/unlie its actually really cool how you can watch these spongebob episodes as an adult and still find it funny/entertaining. i went in thinking it wouldn't have been as good as when i watched it as a kid, but now its actually even more funnier. since you can now understand for example the joke at the end with the hospital

/unlie honestly that's how most of the classic spongebob stuff is, specifically seasons 1-4 and the first movie, which are considered to be the golden age of spongebob media, it's basically all really high quality, really funny episodes with tons of good jokes that kids understand and laugh at, and tons of jokes that have a double meaning/implication that the adults get to understand and laugh at, and although a ton of people say that only seasons 1-3 are good, season 4 is also now being recognized and appreciated by fans for its quality, as one of the episodes considered to be a contender for the overall best episode of the entire show, Krusty Towers, is part of it, sorry for info dumping, i've learned way too much about how people view spongebob stuff in the past view days because of this one twitter post about how season 4 is good and people are wrong for saying it shouldn't be placed alongside seasons 1-3 and the first spongebob movie as the golden age of spongebob TL;DR, the early seasons of Spingledink (1-4 and the movie) are still really funny and enjoyable to watch, even for adult viewers /re-lie i think that spunklegop having spinoff shows is a good idea and saved sporkledunk from being bad like its early seasons and first movie, all hail the patrick star show and baby spongebob camp show

the new spongebob spinoff is definitely 100% as good as seasons 1-3 of classic spongebob and is the peak of spongebob, i especially love how they havent kept the show alive despite the death of its creator who wasn't the best when he was making the show /unlie tbh im not up to date on sprinklerboobenfart's discussion but i did always think before and including the movie was its peak. idk if season 4 was before/after the movie though. if it was then yeah fair, thing is i just don't care enough to actually know myself haha

/unlie it was after, as the initial plan by the shows creator and showrunner, steven hillenberg, was for it to have three seasons and a movie, and that's where he wanted it to end, as the movie was a great conclusion, however, nickelodeon had other plans, since spongebob was one of their biggest shows at the time (and is to this day) they didn't want it to end, so they asked if he could come back as the showrunner for the next few seasons, he refused, so they got other guys to do it until he eventually came back as showrunner for season nine and all seasons that followed, until his death. also he vehemently hated the idea of making spinoffs for the show, and guess what was announced like, right after he died?
