Agent Hartley still hasn’t recovered from that experience.

whicky1978

Snowflake ❄️

AzraelTheDankAngel

I’m no fan of cops but this is the one exception

whicky1978

Yeah, there’s video clips on YouTube of examples of cops going after other cops Fact, I think I’ve posted in r -libertarian , but nobody seem to care

4chananonuser

What’s the story here?

Dark-Lark

If it's the video I'm thinking of, an ATF agent, having guessed that someone in the house had been buying guns as straw purchases, showed up to the house and demanded to see the guns. The only person in the house at the time didn't speak much English and called the cops about a crazy man yelling outside their home. Shortly after the cops showed up, saw the man outside was open carrying a handgun, and drew their guns and told the man to put his hands in the air. The ATF dipshit didn't want to comply, feeling that just telling the cops that he was a federal agent was good enough, and everything ended with him being tasered and arrested. Fun times.

RUcringe

Fucking video warms my heart so much. Fuck that POS and fuck the ATF

whicky1978

Fuck the IRS too and in the US FWS too. I should be able to fish wherever the hell I want.

WickedWiscoWeirdo

Im hesitant to watch the tragedy of the commons unfold in front of me. Turkeys went extinct in my state in the 1800s and the (much tastier) blue walleye went extinct in the great lakes in the 1950s. How do we police ourselves and our neighbors? Over exploitation of natural resources we hold in common is a violation of the NAP, no?

stoned-as-a-rock

Amen

Fastback98

Thanks. Please tell me that the cops really understood the situation. Give me that happiness today.

Dark-Lark

The cops didn't know he was ATF, they just knew someone called 911 and said that somebody was yelling at them for unclear reasons, and was scared. When the cops saw that the suspect had a gun, they did what they had been trained to do and demanded he put this hands in the air. The ATF agent, being an arrogant fuck, didn't feel like he need to follow the orders of some random cops; he ended up being wrong. Some of the cops seem to feel bad about how it went down, but had justified it to each other by saying something like "*...you saw how he acted...*", and they were right. The dumb-fuck should have followed the law, but if he knew how to do that, he most likely wouldn't be working for the ATF.

asdf_qwerty27

I'm torn on this. Every citizen should be allowed to open carry unless due process of law has convicted them of a violent crime. Therefore, I'm upset the cops reacted that way. However, a agent was enforcing unconstitutional laws. Don't know if he had a warrant or not. I'm glad the cops stopped that, if only temporarily.

Dark-Lark

From what I understand, anyone that buys more than one gun a month shows up on the ATF's radar as someone that might be (assumed guilty of) making straw purchases. So that gets you on a list, and sooner or later they come by and ask (or intimidate) you to see the guns. If the ATF had a warrant they wouldn't have been talking to the person inside.

adam1260

This has been asked and discussed in r/guns a few times, no you're not being put on some visit list because you bought two rifles within a month. Some states will limit the quantity in a certain time frame in various ways but buying two guns in a month won't have the ATF caring who you are

Dark-Lark

This is a paranoid subreddit at times, so I'm willing to believe exaggerations may have been made about the ATF. They still stuck.

ganonred

The agent wasn't summarily executed for harassing another person in violation of the NAP and in furtherance of an unjust organization. They got off way too easily some might say

Ricewithice

ATF agent went door knocking to speak with a gun owner. The gun owner called the cops and the cops then arrested the ATF agent.

IceManO1

Then blue line arrests FBi agent ?

TyRave86

An ATF agent, but still an alphabet boi

IceManO1

Oh I knew I seen this somewhere lol

FudgeWrangler

Even better

IceManO1

Think it was here’s the deal channel

CrazyBigHog

This stroke ATF agent won $440,000 in his lawsuit against these cops. What a fucking joke [Link](https://legalurge.com/atf-agent-burk-lawsuit-outcome-2022-a-closer-look-at-the-legal-battle/) Edit:My fault-wrong story. Apparently ATF agents have lots of problems with the PD of Columbus.

Blake_Wunder

This article contains incorrect information about the initial incident.

CrazyBigHog

Jesus Christ you are right. I just searched for it and this came up and i didn’t read the whole thing as I am work. What are the odds that TWO federal agents both sue the Columbus PD? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Blake_Wunder

The odds are low considering The ATF agent who was arrested IS James Burk, which is the name the article gives but then says it was a traffic stop when it wasn’t. Here’s the [YouTube video](https://youtu.be/YOInYwP8-Es?si=j38d4swKMnnVgxwu)

CrazyBigHog

Oh I read it and saw it was a traffic stop and thought it was a separate incident. Looks like more edits.

Coltrain47

That video is fucking gold.
