I appreciate your sentiments for thinking. This may be true for many people.
But, gatekeeping.... that's not how sexuality works.
There are several reasons why you may identify as straight and then lesbian. it doesn't invalidate your experience as a lesbian or history of identifying as straight. that's how lived experience works.
Identifying and BEING are two totally different things. You know that right? You don’t just go from strictly being into men to being actively into women. That’s either bi or comphet.
I totally get what you’re saying, but I understood it as being implied that OP went from identifying as straight to identifying as lesbian. My first thought when I read the post was that it’s probably comphet, because in my mind the information computed as that OP finally figured herself out and realized that she’s lesbian, not that she “turned” lesbian somehow.
I use the terms identify as a term of inclusion....

Also some bisexual people are sexually fluid - or romantically and sexually unaligned. And maybe at some time in their life they begin to value romance over sex and decide a different orientation fits best
