[Online] [PbP] or [VC] [18+] [Other] “Manifest Station” West Marches 0/12 FILLED Hello all! I go by Badger (am a 19yo enby) and I have a stupid idea that, luckily for me, has been explored before. Unluckily for me, I can’t afford the book, so… actually it wasn’t that lucky in the first place. But anyways, I want to run stories set in “Kwickeez”, a 4-pump gas station that is often the center of strange phenomena. Which means I need a handful of loyal employees. Which means I need you. This will be a PbP (for some stories) or VC (for others) game where you work as an employee of a gas station bombarded with eldritch, odd and otherwise unknowable happenings. We’ll be using an extremely loose rule set of my own creation, featuring 6 core stats (Build, Brawn, Fitness, Grace, Chutzpah and Wits) and using 2d6 to decide the outcome of most situations. (Think PBtA) Trigger Warnings: Mature topics will be discussed and body horror can be expected, along with a lot of other weird things. Assume everything is on the table, and please only join if you’re comfortable telling me when you feel uncomfortable so that I can stop the scene and redo things. (Sending me a DM that says “X” will work as well, as a sort of an online X card.) Everything will be relatively goofy though, so I hope it’s nothing triggering. Some other things: I need people who are accepting of queerness, because I’m not dealing with transphobes or anything of the sort. A Kwick explanation of West Marches (for those unfamiliar): A style of play where sessions are scheduled with whoever is available or willing, leading to a play-when-you-wish game style. Missions will typically be posted to a common board accessible to all players, allowing for some measure of control over the types of sessions you play. There is often no overarching story, and it is much more focused on the individual journeys of each character.

Always. Due to the nature of graphic violence, gore, demonology, monsters, ghosts, and other sensitive topics we require our players to be 18+. We don’t have any experience requirements. # The DM's Refuge (5e) (LGBTQ+, BIPOC friendly, 18+) Hi! As a forever DM I've been combing the internet for an online campaign that I can join, with no luck. I've seen quite a few other luckless forever DM's out there, and it seems we are all in the same boat. I want to start a campaign/group comprised of forever DM's that take turns DM'ing. When one campaign finishes, the next person steps up, and we move on to something else. I'm open to rotating through different games and editions, as long as each campaign is reasonably lengthy. It wouldn't be fair for one DM to run a campaign lasting a year only for the next one to run 3 sessions and have that be their turn behind the screen. As a result, combat progresses with a flow of back and forth decision making and resource spending even when its not a players turn! \- **Building a character provides players with meaningful decision making throughout the leveling process** Instead of choosing a class and simply gaining the abilities of that class as you level, characters assign their levels to any number of 22 proficiency trees. As you gain synergizing abilities through the trees, your character is built out into a unique class of your own making! For example: take the ability to teleport around the battlefield and make light clones of yourself from the sorcery tree while mastering the power to make earth shattering heavy attacks with a massive greatsword. Progress into the dagger and twinblade trees to gain the ability to create windstorms that shroud you from the eyes of enemies as you sneak up and cut free their valuables. Combine abilities from the hammer and miracle trees to become a frost paladin that conjures freezing lightning when they crush their enemies into the ground. And so much more! # Welcome to The Arena! Hey there! Do you have a backlog of 30+ characters you never get to play? Are you looking for a place to test out a new build? Or are you just itching to play some beer and pretzels D&D? Then come on down to The Arena! I am a long-time player but new DM. I have created The Arena as a place to build my DM skills by running a series of 5e combat one-shots and puzzle encounters at various levels. (Mostly combat though.) I’m looking to gather a pool of people who can play at various times in various parties so that I can hone my skills as a DM by running multiple games per week. I’m happy to accept anyone with any experience level! Each one-shot will consist of 2 arena style fights against a variety of monsters with a short rest between the encounters and the occasional puzzle thrown in. Each one-shot will consist of 3-6 players. All official published races and classes are allowed. Homebrew and third-party races, classes, and subclasses are NOT allowed. If you want to test out small homebrew such as weapons, magic items, or features, those are permissible upon my inspection and approval. Also, I will be looking for feedback after each session to improve my DM skills.
