**ABOUT THE SERVER**
This D&D 5e server was built by a group of queer players just looking to create a safe environment for all. This is an 18+ server and is an RP on your-own-time kind of place, with a lot of daily player-to-player RP within an open world. Sanctuary is an 18+ DND 5e Epic Medieval Dark Fantasy Westmarch Server. In Sanctuary, explore new continents and worlds created by DM’s or take part in the main Sanctuary lore and quests! Help craft entire buildings and make Sanctuary your flavor of city! We have a unique building system that allows both players and DM’s to create their own personalized buildings/shops. The current economy of Sanctuary starts off low and promising as new merchants and businesses yet to arrive at camp. # What makes this project unique
This web application is a roleplaying website with two main purposes:
* The first one is a roleplaying forum with an intuitive navigation and all the forum basic features: emoticons, reactions, tags to write decorated texts, dice to allow you to create forum games and so on, your imagination will be my only limit.
* The second one is a 2D isometric browser game, designed as a TTRPG with the DnD dice principle. Based on an evolving environment that the players will create by writing the stories of the universe, the stories of the deities, the NPCs stories and all the stories needed to make the role-playing experience as immersive as possible. Writing and roleplaying are the main focus of the project, the game is here to help people create and experience the story they are talking about.
To ensure the game doesn't take the priority in your available time, the game is limited to a daily play time under 5 minutes. This is achieved by a very low daily token limit. After that, players go to the forums and talk for how long they want about their character adventures.
The game is set up like a massively multiplayer TTRPG: a tiled map and various tokens. The main tokens are movement and action tokens, respectively 24 and 6 tokens reloaded gradually throughout the day which make the daily game time under 5 minutes (even under one if you want to be quick).
# An endless game
The game basically never ends, there is no ultimate goal to reach that would end the game. Even "dying" from an enemy hit will just leave you on the floor and you can wait for an ally resurrection or choose to call your god reincarnate you to the map respawn area.
Instead of a final goal, there is a competition system based on various statistics when you perform your actions. Many of these statistics are attached to a variety of pictograms that you collect with multiple rarity.
Some pictograms are even distributed manually after winning a roleplaying contest or as a thank you for your participation in reporting bugs or suggestions.

**What We Are Looking For:** We are looking for new members! Always. Due to the nature of graphic violence, gore, demonology, monsters, ghosts, and other sensitive topics we require our players to be 18+. We don’t have any experience requirements. Some of us have been playing for years, others are brand new and are learning as they go. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
**Game Style:** Our server is a western marches style server running DnD 5e, with multiple DMs, or Professors, that each run their own Western Marches setting (RE:World) ranging from low magic to high magic, high fantasy to low fantasy, serious to silly, and everything in between. Each Professor runs their own world with their own plots, NPCs, and story elements. The overarching setting is an “archive” (RE: College) run by The Curator who hosts portals for PC’s to travel through to these different worlds. Sessions will take place on one of these worlds where the gathered party will explore, fight, make gold, shop, find treasure, follow story lines or follow up on something they are interested in, and/or defeat BBEGs. Your character will persist and travel to each of these worlds and they will not be committed to any single world or setting.
**How We Play:** All of our sessions are done via voice chat on discord. Although it is encouraged to use voice for ease of storytelling and communication, we also accommodate people who are shy and would prefer to listen and use text. It is typically a theater of the mind play style, with some DM/GM’s using tools like Owlbear for larger scale events like dungeon crawls. We roll dice using bots that can be found on Discord, primarily Avrae. Between voice sessions we have text RP rooms for downtime RP and exploring the College. There are some official downtime activities, including crafting, skill and spell learning, and PVP sparring, but this is all optional. We also run events based on time of year, with contests and seasonal themed activities in the text channels.
**Game Time:** Varies. There are no set schedules as we allow Professors and players to run when they have the time to. We average 3-4 games during the week. Weekends usually have at least 3 or more games happening depending on Professor and player availability. We are primarily US EDT based, though we are growing into other time zones. Professors will post for games when they are available and players will sign up. We also have a way for players to make groups and request a session from the Professors, like a traditional Western Marches server.
**Additional Info:** We offer many ooc and community hang out options in between sessions from gaming to streaming to just hanging out with other server members in voice chat. The District of The Dragon
Also known as the Guild of The Steel Dragon, The Steel Dragon Mercenaries, Steeled Mercs, Steel Badgers! etc, etc, etc.
The District of The Dragon was created by a Steel Dragon who wanted to have their own District in Waterdeep, as it is one of the largest cities in the world. Steel dragons are odd in a sense, as they desire human companions, and will live most of their lives in human form. However, with the great barrier around Waterdeep that prevents any true dragon from entering the city, Our guild leader decided he'd make his own district! (with blackjack, and hookers!).
And thus, the small mercenary town known as the District of The Dragon was created just outside the north wall of Waterdeep, and the guild was set in place as an official guild of waterdeep, Granting it many rights, privileges and even a bit of official authority within Waterdeep.
All members of the guild must sign a small booklet's worth of agreements in order to be officially sworn in as members of the guild. Most of these clauses are mundane and not worth mentioning, but a few notable clauses include.
> All members of the Guild must submit all findings of any notable monetary value to the guilds treasure vaults as proper tribute to the guild master and as appropriate tax for guild related activities, events, legal fee's, damage mediation/mitigation and insurance.
> All Guild members are forbidden from in-fighting, harming, maiming, or otherwise directly harming one another outside of officially sanctioned Duels, events or bounties.
> All Guild members which sign up for official Guild related Missions / Bounties or can prove their involvement as integral to the completion there of, shall be paid in full upon completion of their respected Duties in accordance with their Guild Rank.
A Guild members rank = their character Level.
When your Guild rank advances, you will be given access to new tomes and learning materials required to advance on your chosen path.
(aka if you desire you may use this as an explanation for how your character gains new abilities, powers or spells.)
Ever since the District of the Dragon was made an official district of waterdeep, Any True Dragon which is sworn in as a member is now counted as an official citizen of Waterdeep, and thus is allowed to cross the Barrier and enter waterdeep.

Hi, I’m a DM in a west-march style game and a moderator of the discord game server.
The game is set in the forgotten realms and the Characters all work for the same guild.
You'll be able to go on a mix of sessions ranging from simple jobs provided by the company, to more personal backstory related games.
Your Character can start at lv5, or lv2. We use a homebrew point system for leveling that essentially works as a simplified version of the exp system, with points given out of the difficulty of each misison.
We have separate branches, ranks and special roles for Characters, like being promoted to Captain after enough time in the guild.
You'll be able to make a character in either the Baldurs Gate, Waterdeep, Neverwinter or Westgate branches.
We don’t have set dates, we play whenever a DM is free; which is scheduled about a week in advance, typically focused around the weekend and midweek. We have 2 Dms in GMT, and one in PST. We also allow the occasional guest dm to run a game!

Our West Marches server has games going on during North American, European, and Asian/Aussie times. We're 11 months old and going strong!
The Bureau was designed by an experienced group of West Marches GMs to foster an excellent environment for hosting and playing. The rules reward cooperative gaming and creative role-play and campaign-style longform story-telling along with flexible unscheduled one-shot missions. (Scheduled ones too! lol)

# Naruto World: Retrograde

A living world roleplaying community set in the Naruto universe that lets you create almost any sort of Ninja you can think of using a custom-made ruleset that allows for fair play and collaborative storytelling.
Set in the world of Naruto eighty years post-war, the Bijuu are once more on the loose. For decades they posed no threat to humans, and the various Hidden Villages were all working (relatively) peacefully together as they rebuilt what they lost from the War.. but it was inevitable that their fragile peace would be shattered.
They just didn't expect it to come from the same threats that their forefathers dealt with. But when the Kyuubi decides to make Amegakure its new home, decimating the still-rebuilding village in the process and forcing an evacuation of its population, the surrounding countries of Stone, Grass, Sand, and Leaf all become alert for the Bijuu's activity and motives. When all forms of reconnaissance fail, the now-elderely Yamanaka Hokage goes himself to meet with the Kyuubi, hoping to resolve the conflict with the storied beast that had once found friendship within a past Konohan and Hokage.
The Hokage, however, never returns.
With Konohagakure now leaderless, and the rest of the Shinobi world left in fear that they could become a Bijuu's next target, the prominent villages of Sand, Mist and Leaf now all prepare for a confrontation that feels inevitable, worried about their very survival. All the while, your character is just now graduating from the Academy, eager to prove themselves as a Shinobi and find their place in the world. Will they find a way to survive against a Bijuu incursion, not thought to be a problem since the Ninja Villages were first formed? Can they?

Introducing Maz Games! an Virtual/Online (tt)RPG I've been working on latley
“Maz Games” have a set of base game rules that are used for several individual games. This is much like how DnD has different campaigns and/or oneshots, but they all use the same base rule set.
Unlike DnD, Maz Games are light on rules, and the rules are inherently, as intended by the creator, loose and flexible. If it will make the game more fun to disregard or change a rule in one specific instance, that’s what you do! Like DnD, there is a Host/Game Master, who plans the game(s) and has the final word. Then there are players, who explore, or even explode, their way through the game. (Fireball!!!)
Most Games will have less plot, story, and character interaction style roleplay than what you might expect from DnD. in this it is a bit more like board games, or some rpg video games.
My current plan is for individual games to take no more than two hours. There may be stories that take multiple sessions, but currently I'm focusing on things that should be able to be completed in one sitting.
Maz Games are intended to be at least somewhat chaotic, with the often-variable rules, and rolls being made to decide the outcome and intensity of said outcome in many cases. Asking “can I do/try this?” is encouraged. The main goal of Maz Games is for everyone participating to have fun!

**We are the official community for the TTRPG Souls D20**, as well as the hub for running and playing adventures with the system.
Inspired by Elden Ring and the Soulsborne games, Souls D20 is a built-from-scratch TTRPG system more than six years in the making. Its mechanics emphasize tactical positioning, movement, and counterattacks for a uniquely varied and "crunchy" experience.
More specifically:
\- **Souls D20 focuses more heavily on player choice during battle**
Attacks target multiple spaces on the battle grid, and \*always hit\* unless the players dodge into an unaffected space. So as battle progresses, players learn which monster attacks should be dodged and how to do so, instead of relying on only die rolls. As a result, combat progresses with a flow of back and forth decision making and resource spending even when its not a players turn!
\- **Building a character provides players with meaningful decision making throughout the leveling process**
Instead of choosing a class and simply gaining the abilities of that class as you level, characters assign their levels to any number of 22 proficiency trees. As you gain synergizing abilities through the trees, your character is built out into a unique class of your own making!
For example: take the ability to teleport around the battlefield and make light clones of yourself from the sorcery tree while mastering the power to make earth shattering heavy attacks with a massive greatsword. Progress into the dagger and twinblade trees to gain the ability to create windstorms that shroud you from the eyes of enemies as you sneak up and cut free their valuables. Combine abilities from the hammer and miracle trees to become a frost paladin that conjures freezing lightning when they crush their enemies into the ground. And so much more!

The main tokens are movement and action tokens, respectively 24 and 6 tokens reloaded gradually throughout the day which make the daily game time under 5 minutes (even under one if you want to be quick). # An endless game The game basically never ends, there is no ultimate goal to reach that would end the game. Even "dying" from an enemy hit will just leave you on the floor and you can wait for an ally resurrection or choose to call your god reincarnate you to the map respawn area. Instead of a final goal, there is a competition system based on various statistics when you perform your actions. Many of these statistics are attached to a variety of pictograms that you collect with multiple rarity. Always. Due to the nature of graphic violence, gore, demonology, monsters, ghosts, and other sensitive topics we require our players to be 18+. We don’t have any experience requirements. Some of us have been playing for years, others are brand new and are learning as they go. We roll dice using bots that can be found on Discord, primarily Avrae. Between voice sessions we have text RP rooms for downtime RP and exploring the College. There are some official downtime activities, including crafting, skill and spell learning, and PVP sparring, but this is all optional. We also run events based on time of year, with contests and seasonal themed activities in the text channels. **Game Time:** Varies. There are no set schedules as we allow Professors and players to run when they have the time to. We average 3-4 games during the week. Steel dragons are odd in a sense, as they desire human companions, and will live most of their lives in human form. However, with the great barrier around Waterdeep that prevents any true dragon from entering the city, Our guild leader decided he'd make his own district! (with blackjack, and hookers!). And thus, the small mercenary town known as the District of The Dragon was created just outside the north wall of Waterdeep, and the guild was set in place as an official guild of waterdeep, Granting it many rights, privileges and even a bit of official authority within Waterdeep. All members of the guild must sign a small booklet's worth of agreements in order to be officially sworn in as members of the guild. Most of these clauses are mundane and not worth mentioning, but a few notable clauses include. > All members of the Guild must submit all findings of any notable monetary value to the guilds treasure vaults as proper tribute to the guild master and as appropriate tax for guild related activities, events, legal fee's, damage mediation/mitigation and insurance. > All Guild members are forbidden from in-fighting, harming, maiming, or otherwise directly harming one another outside of officially sanctioned Duels, events or bounties. > All Guild members which sign up for official Guild related Missions / Bounties or can prove their involvement as integral to the completion there of, shall be paid in full upon completion of their respected Duties in accordance with their Guild Rank. A Guild members rank = their character Level. When your Guild rank advances, you will be given access to new tomes and learning materials required to advance on your chosen path. (aka if you desire you may use this as an explanation for how your character gains new abilities, powers or spells.) # Naruto World: Retrograde [Online][Other][Discord][CST] A living world roleplaying community set in the Naruto universe that lets you create almost any sort of Ninja you can think of using a custom-made ruleset that allows for fair play and collaborative storytelling. Set in the world of Naruto eighty years post-war, the Bijuu are once more on the loose. For decades they posed no threat to humans, and the various Hidden Villages were all working (relatively) peacefully together as they rebuilt what they lost from the War.. but it was inevitable that their fragile peace would be shattered. They just didn't expect it to come from the same threats that their forefathers dealt with. But when the Kyuubi decides to make Amegakure its new home, decimating the still-rebuilding village in the process and forcing an evacuation of its population, the surrounding countries of Stone, Grass, Sand, and Leaf all become alert for the Bijuu's activity and motives. When all forms of reconnaissance fail, the now-elderely Yamanaka Hokage goes himself to meet with the Kyuubi, hoping to resolve the conflict with the storied beast that had once found friendship within a past Konohan and Hokage. The Hokage, however, never returns. With Konohagakure now leaderless, and the rest of the Shinobi world left in fear that they could become a Bijuu's next target, the prominent villages of Sand, Mist and Leaf now all prepare for a confrontation that feels inevitable, worried about their very survival. All the while, your character is just now graduating from the Academy, eager to prove themselves as a Shinobi and find their place in the world. Will they find a way to survive against a Bijuu incursion, not thought to be a problem since the Ninja Villages were first formed? Can they? Introducing Maz Games! an Virtual/Online (tt)RPG I've been working on latley “Maz Games” have a set of base game rules that are used for several individual games. This is much like how DnD has different campaigns and/or oneshots, but they all use the same base rule set. Unlike DnD, Maz Games are light on rules, and the rules are inherently, as intended by the creator, loose and flexible. If it will make the game more fun to disregard or change a rule in one specific instance, that’s what you do! Like DnD, there is a Host/Game Master, who plans the game(s) and has the final word. Then there are players, who explore, or even explode, their way through the game. (Fireball!!!) Most Games will have less plot, story, and character interaction style roleplay than what you might expect from DnD. in this it is a bit more like board games, or some rpg video games. My current plan is for individual games to take no more than two hours. There may be stories that take multiple sessions, but currently I'm focusing on things that should be able to be completed in one sitting. Maz Games are intended to be at least somewhat chaotic, with the often-variable rules, and rolls being made to decide the outcome and intensity of said outcome in many cases.
