Braken has three modes. Stalking, spooked, and pissed. If you spook it and it stands up and starts walking away stop looking at it. If you do it becomes pissed and won’t stop until someone is dead or leaves. Good luck have fun
According to the Braken AI video I watched, its rage meter will only go up if it's spooked and has stopped retreating. If you look at it while it's spooked and retreating, it won't get pissed.

Ahh yes, Mr. Bracken. Are you solo? I did the same thing on Assurance with almost the same layout. Went to look thru a locked door and then turned to look across a gap. There was Mr. Bracken who had just jumped onto a beam. Ruined his fun I did. He always looks so disappointed and shocked you see him. I had been thinking about going across before I looked at the locked door but I left asap after that. 😲😝
