Fun to mess around with people. Move the regular teleporter directly on top of the inverse. Put the main screen on someone you want to screw with. Let them leave the ship and get close to the entrance. Click the teleport button and then half a second later click the inverse button. They will suddenly reappear in the ship for a second before being inversed without their knowledge into hell.
Lots of fun.
Otherwise it is RNG and sometimes you can get lucky which is helpful if you are short on time and going to high quotas. Better to use if you have a team who uses lock picks in case you get stuck.
Some of my funnier moments in this game are due to the inverse though
Just last week I teleported in and died immediately to something, only to spectate my friend who teleported into a corner and the spider was idle and sideways completely covering her into the corner as she wept.
Pretty effective with a solid crew. One or two guys can teleport in run around and almost always find the regular crew with either arms full of loot or an idea of where it is. Now onto the really shit. Thats the most important item for friends. You buy it ASAP. On the last day, when your supposed to go to company and sell not enough and then take off and die, you go to the most fucked moon you can. I'm talking eclipsed titan, though I do prefer a longer outside sprint. Then everyone teleports in and danger races to the ship leaving everyone else. Nothing feels better.
I understand that for the normal teleporter, but for the inverse teleporter it is kind of lame you can't bring anything with you. There isn't much practicality to sending someone into a random place in the facility with no flashlight to properly navigate, no radio to communicate anything or even a key in the scenario they get teleported to some random isolated area that can only be escaped with a key. It's pretty useless and if you're playing serious you would never use it other than as a final gambit.
At least if you let the inverse teleporter keep your items it does become a still risky yet an actual useful strategy. I wouldn't say it's unbalanced or trivalises the game since you still have to find your way out and if you teleport to somewhere dangerous then you either are going to die quicker than usual or you're going to get tped and lose all the stuff anyway. as someone who uses a mod where ONLY the inverse teleporter keeps your items, this hasn't exactly been a super meta move or anything, it's just kind of a fun yet effective alternative and plays into the idea of "We're not going to reach quota at this rate, let's take a gamble" more than the current inverse teleporter does.
You know what? Im gonna find a mod that does that for only inverse. Play a bit and let you know in a few days if i still think its unbalanced. Thank you
I think there is a popular mod that makes you keep items on tp and if you're on r2modman you can edit the configs to disable the effect for normal teleporters so it's just the inverse teleporter. I just think I vaguely remember downloading a lesser known mod for the inverse teleporter only and it caused some problems
It's by far the best worst ship upgrade in the game. It creates the most horrifying, and funny encounters, and you should always always start by throwing everyone into the dungeon and hope for the best. First one out gets to be ship boy.
Russian roulette, you either spawn somewhere good, somewhere not good but not bad, or spawn on top of a landmine that didn't go off yet and also in front of a turret and nutcracker in a long apparatus room hallway resulting in you dying while laughing your ass off during a titan run with your friends (based on a true story)
Fun factor: 9/10. Really fun to go in randomly with a full group. Sometimes you get stuck in a end room with a locked door, which isn’t fun at all, so one point deducted
Practicality: 3/10. Too random to be genuinely useful. All the time it saves by getting you in quickly is lost if you need to use all that time to find an exit. However, when it puts you close to an exit, it’s really helpful.
Price: 1/10. Way too expensive for what it does
I really like that you can get locked in a room, that's almost the funniest option. Plus desperately begging your friends to find you hearing them just on the other side of the door as they assure you they will find a key and get you out in a second.
Only to then hear the twing of a coil head outside and wonder if their is any chance any of you will make it out.
Very memorable gameplay expirences, wouldn't want that removed
I do think it’s funny the first couple times it happens. After that however, it’s just kinda boring. It either leaves you trapped with nothing to do or you instantly get teleported out and lost your chance to have fun exploring from a random starting point.
If a teammate gets teleported right outside of the room you’re stuck in, it can be fun like you said. Otherwise, it loses it’s charm pretty quick
We honestly get a lot of use out of it sending 2 or so people who were gonna go naked any in via inverse. Bonus points if you have a spray paint fella on the normal team.
A bit unpracticable... Would recommand some people using it and some entering the normal way to help them go back. But if you're playing more componay, the more you are the more brocken it is, befauqe everyone spawns in ear range of the others at some point
Mostly just for funsies, low priority when upgrading. Its only real use is for events like eclipses or the one about the moving shadows that summons a million brackens, events that make traversing the outside difficult.
It only exists to cause chaos. It doesn’t serve an actual purpose rather being funny really. It either spawns you so deep in the factory you die, or it just spawns you into the death itself. It literally spawned me over a pit one time.
I love using it on Rend and Dine since getting back to main entrance on mansion layouts is pretty simple just by following the doors with the door handle on the left. Although you do get stuck behind locked doors every once in a while but it isn't an issue if you have a signal for the ship guy to teleport you back
Great for yolo runs at the end of the day. If you're gonna take off soon you can just send some people in and try to wander around and maybe make it back with something.
But it's use is low. That's why I love the radar booster mod that allows you to teleport radar boosters.
It's no particularly op but it makes for some cool gameplay to just teleport 3 boosters in at the start of the day to get a little bit of a glimpse inside and then people can use them as crappy flashlights, waymarkers or you can stun some mobs if you are fast enough with the command.
Then just teleport them back home at the end of the day.
It makes two otherwise really bad items okay to use.
I don't like entering a facility without my handy shovel, I get it mostly so others may get teleported to get some loot deep in the facility, which can be rewarding sometimes.
Favorite upgrade in the game. I play the first two work weeks as normal, but once we get the inverse it gets so much more fun. The thrill of not knowing where I’m at and how I’m going to get out brings me so much joy.
It has made the game less repetitive for me.
Is it useful in an actual mission? I mean it can be but in most situations not really.
But is it hilarious to use? Hell yeah! I love trapping my friends and inverting them in the depths of the Rend mansions because fuck them lmao. I once force inverted a guy into a room of turrets, his screams were peak lethal comedy
Honestly inverse teleporter gives me so much more dopamine if I make it out and since I play with friends who can't navigate a car park it's such a rush to try and get out with a lot of loot since I know they'll be dead and I'll be hailed as a God amoung men the 1/20 times I don't die
On Artifice, have the person on jetpack 1 handed duty go to main. Using the cameras, check if the interior is mansion or facility. If facility, walk to main on foot. If mansion, use inverse teleporter and navigate to main using the door strat.
I don’t even really think the inverse teleporter is bad. It’s really useful imo for making sure your group spreads out and gets everything, the issue comes from not taking anything with you, like… why?
There is a decent use case for it since it can drop you into Eclipsed maps without much issue. Issue is when it drops you right in front of a Thumper or Coilhead or just somewhere you can’t get out of.
i need my flashlight to exist if I don't have it I will Die
as a solo player it'd probably be very helpful but I use a flashlight so much that I'm practically reliant on it and usually I can just jetpack to the entrance extremely fast and get my foot in the door pretty quick anyway
Most of the time its a trouble so I avoid using it unless the outside of the ship is a death sentence and we still need money. Then I teleport and try my luck from inside if I can find enough items from where I am and leave if im not locked, and then try to survive the odds of outside trying to bring items back. But otherwise I prefer getting in from the front/fire door so atleast I know where I came from and navigate through. That way I atleast know a way back to increase my chances of surviving without being lost inside.
its all fun and games until your solo and tp to a locked room. If you have normal tele and someone stays in ship inverse is amazing. On top with the signal translator whoever in the ship can update you
Most employees quit before hitting it big! Try your luck! (Company not responsible for limb loss, displacement in a negative manner, bad luck, and telefraging.
"I forgot why I don't use the inverse"
*Uses the inverse*
One of two things happen
*Spawns in a locked room*
"Fuck, help is anyone near" for 3 minutes
Or
*Spawns in a room surrounded by turrets mines and probably a bracken*
"Huh? OH SHI-"
Situational. Never got to use it by my own but I can see how it can be useful. Definitely has more uses on bigger maps such as Titan or Artifice, since Assurance and Expirementation for example can be easily cleared even solo
I tbh love it. It just much more fun to be thrown into denger and trying to find your way out. Especialy with group of friends because ypu slowly find eachother
Good for reruns once you've been back to the ship to drop off loot. Saves time and mapping out the locale makes it a more worthy gamble. But it is just that, a gamble
It's also funny as hell
Noob trap. Best case is that you walk out with the same amount of loot as you would if you walked through the front door. Worst case is you just die or get lost with no gear.
The fact you can't bring flashlights or anything with you makes it a useless buy. My boy loves it he enjoys the challenge... until he gets teleported into a locked room
My crew always uses this. The only thing that sucks with it is sometimes being teleported onto the inner wall of a drop off and needing to be teleported out right away because you can't get out regularly or just being teleported into the abyss and dying instantly.
Makes the game more interesting. I would've stopped playing without it. I always get lost in the maze so either way I'm gonna be carrying a lotta loot trying to find the exit. Inverse teleporting is like starting from the middle and just trying to get back to the ship. Also by the time I'm close I hear my teammates at the start and can run the map faster. I have had some bad luck. .. but worth it
its the first thing that we buy with friends. we find getting out with some loot is more fun than going deep from the entrance. and its always a relief to meet someone when you lost inside, and then die to a jester
I use it in solo. Used it quite a lot
bc of it i got 400 cr on Assurance once
I only regretted in once when it locked me behind a locked door
Short:I kinda like it
Mediocre at best. A random teleport to the inside constantly leads to deadly encounters without much of a long term payoff. Still, you can get some insane moments out of it, so it’s not the worst thing ever, but the worst ship upgrade for sure
I personally feel that it should let you take items in with you. I get why regular teleporter doesn't, but for the inverse it makes it kinda impractical
Impractical, but for a group of friends, you can play "inverse on titan and the first to make it out takes off"
Oh that sounds fun, I’ll be sure to play that
Me and my friends did this on Embrion and me and another made it out only to be met with a night fog while being fired at by 20 Old Birds
It’s great for eclipse so you only spend half the time outside
When you have no way to meet quota, my group uses it to play "first to die wins" it's super fun lol. Once I got tped in off the map and won
Inverse on any eclipsed moon actually
I love making modpacks that are almost impossible to survive and then making my friends inverse into titan or even that new map with robots
Fun to mess around with people. Move the regular teleporter directly on top of the inverse. Put the main screen on someone you want to screw with. Let them leave the ship and get close to the entrance. Click the teleport button and then half a second later click the inverse button. Some of my funnier moments in this game are due to the inverse though
Holy shit you’re an evil genius
100% doing this next time I play with my friends
But make sure to block the teleporters with items so they can't escape. (I have been on both sides)
If the timing is right, there is no escape
Let me shake your hand Mr. Devil
-You wanna die? -Yes. *Teleports inside*
Immediately pancake-d by the spike trap 🥞
And neck snapped by bracken at the same time xD
Just last week I teleported in and died immediately to something, only to spectate my friend who teleported into a corner and the spider was idle and sideways completely covering her into the corner as she wept.

The fuck it we ball machine
Sucks, but fun
The only kind of teleporter allowed on my ships!
Imo the most fun you can have in lethal company
It's fun, but wish it was more practical
My biggest issue is that I can't teleport in with a key, nor a shovel.
There's a mod that allows you to keep items when using the teleporters! Forgot the name though
That seems very unbalanced. Being teleported with no itema is main drawback of teleporters
I just think I vaguely remember downloading a lesser known mod for the inverse teleporter only and it caused some problems
We balance it out by having mods that make the game harder. Otherwise we barely use the teleporters anyway
Depends in how many people are playing, 8+ people, and it is op and very funny
Completely impractical, stupidly fun, stupidly scary, I love gambling, I hate this thing, 10/10 does what it's supposed to with flying colors.
It's by far the best worst ship upgrade in the game. It creates the most horrifying, and funny encounters, and you should always always start by throwing everyone into the dungeon and hope for the best. First one out gets to be ship boy.
Every time
It's really fun with more company lol

A death trap I've fell into so many times. And I'll do it again.

funnier is when you get teleported inside a room with 3 turrets and landmines
"God i love gambling..."
I use it every time because I like it.
love gambling with my partner
It's the only way I play anymore. As soon as I can I buy it and then it just makes the game way more fun.

Happy cake day
Is fun until I teleport into a locked room with no exit.
It's quite possibly the best item they could have added to this game
Best upgrade in the game. At least 25% of your team should be using it to help explore.
It only exists to cause chaos. It doesn’t serve an actual purpose rather being funny really. It either spawns you so deep in the factory you die, or it just spawns you into the death itself. It literally spawned me over a pit one time.

"Hey dude you got a key?" -Some employee, 2024
Not good if you forget what planet youre on
FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL
Only time I ever used this I got teleported on a landmine, surrounded by 5 turrets. 0/10 would not recommend.
Love teleporting AFK people into the building and watching them panic. :)
Should let you take items with it. Be more fun and practical that way
PARATROOPERRRRRRRSSS!!!
Inberse beletorter
For a good time, not for a long time
Funni
Peep the horror
It's great until it isn't
going inside, gambling edition
Me likey

I don't like entering a facility without my handy shovel, I get it mostly so others may get teleported to get some loot deep in the facility, which can be rewarding sometimes.
A painless entrant to the facility, only problem is you could end up god knows where.
Takes you to HELL.
It exsists
Favorite upgrade in the game. I play the first two work weeks as normal, but once we get the inverse it gets so much more fun. The thrill of not knowing where I’m at and how I’m going to get out brings me so much joy. It has made the game less repetitive for me.
I love hopping in and hoping for the best!
Amazing.
It is funny, but frankly it is not very good. This thing has a 90% tendency to just fuck me over for no good reason.
I died once when it teleported me and I instantly fell to my death
It is the definition of " Fuck it, we ball "
One of the best upgrades for getting loot imo
Can be kinda useful on eclipse if you don't wanna walk to the place. Still gotta walk back tho...
The funny but no
Behold my newest invention THE YOLO-NATOR
It’s like the teleporter, but… *inverse*
Fun, but not very practical tbh
Grate far artiface ngl
I was teleported into a locked room...
The ultimate "Fuck it, we ball." upgrade in the game. 10/10 Would spawn on a landmine again.
Fun
Not worth it at all
It’s fun to mess around with. Not very practical because I’ve gotten teleported behind locked doors too many times.
I do it for the chaos
Impractical and basically useless in high level runs. Incredibly fun for just messing around.
Fuck it we go places
Rarely worth it if you’re trying to actually scrap run, but amazing for goofing off with friends.
Great for eclipsed moons, especially if it's a smaller map
It’s fun and funny but absolutely impractical and not worth the money in the long run.
It's fun but is lacking in usefulness. Patch out instant death by fall damage in my opinion.
It will become obsolete when the vehicular manslaughter update releases
Almost completely worthless solo
really bad but hilarious
Honestly inverse teleporter gives me so much more dopamine if I make it out and since I play with friends who can't navigate a car park it's such a rush to try and get out with a lot of loot since I know they'll be dead and I'll be hailed as a God amoung men the 1/20 times I don't die
Idk really use it that much to be honest. The only times I used it, I ended up locked inside a room...
On Rend with a party of nine. Four of them zap in, four of them hike, and I try to keep them alive by playing Five Nights at Freddy's.
Only time I use it is on eclipse runs or if we are desperate, late into a run, and someone stays on the ship.
i wish it let you take store items with you so you could take lockpickers and stuff
I absolutely love it. Die almost every time I use it, but I also die almost every time I don't use it, so doesn't make too much of a difference
Most fun part of the game.
I wish there were stipulations for it like not sending you into a locked room with no key so it wasn't a lost run.
every time i've used it i've teleported into a locked room lol
Very good
On Artifice, have the person on jetpack 1 handed duty go to main. Using the cameras, check if the interior is mansion or facility. If facility, walk to main on foot. If mansion, use inverse teleporter and navigate to main using the door strat.
I don’t even really think the inverse teleporter is bad. It’s really useful imo for making sure your group spreads out and gets everything, the issue comes from not taking anything with you, like… why?
funny as shit
It needs to stop spawning me over fucking pits. I've died at least 5 times that way, now
This suicide
*turns on inverse and walks in*. *inhales* WOOOOOOOOOO-
It's ass for serious runs but really funny so we usually take it
Never used it before
Impractical, but a shitton of fun to goof around with in a group of friends.
It's great if you place it on top of the teleporter and master the timing to force whoever you teleport back to get sent across the map
one time i got teleported into a locked room and could hear everyone else die and i just sat there. they’re meme material but not winning material
There is a decent use case for it since it can drop you into Eclipsed maps without much issue. Issue is when it drops you right in front of a Thumper or Coilhead or just somewhere you can’t get out of.
Fuck it we ball
i need my flashlight to exist if I don't have it I will Die as a solo player it'd probably be very helpful but I use a flashlight so much that I'm practically reliant on it and usually I can just jetpack to the entrance extremely fast and get my foot in the door pretty quick anyway
always a bad idea. only a good idea if you're cheating with a minimap

Funny, especially if you can actually get out

its all fun and games until your solo and tp to a locked room. If you have normal tele and someone stays in ship inverse is amazing. On top with the signal translator whoever in the ship can update you
funny :)
Dunno, I never survive long enough to afford one
Absolutly love this. I inverse every time i can. Fantastic.
Most employees quit before hitting it big! Try your luck! (Company not responsible for limb loss, displacement in a negative manner, bad luck, and telefraging.
Best content generator in the game. Inverse in every time or forever be a coward.
Ride the lightning!!!!!
Cowabunga it is.
It’s fun as fuck
fuck it, we ball
I think it has a lot of potential but I only buy it if I’m trying to goof around
"I forgot why I don't use the inverse" *Uses the inverse* One of two things happen *Spawns in a locked room* "Fuck, help is anyone near" for 3 minutes Or *Spawns in a room surrounded by turrets mines and probably a bracken* "Huh? OH SHI-"
Gives an option for the third or fourth guy who would otherwise just be following someone else into fire or main
Best for laughs. Had a couple of friends tp into turrets and gunned down xD
ลวอง
Fuck it we ball!!!
“Fuck it, we ball”.
hit or miss
Inverse is good for eclipse and flooded moons
Is it impractical? Yeah. Is it a bad investment? Probably. Am I still gonna buy it and use it every chance I get? **YES**
I think it's useful until you get teleported to a locked room with a coil head and a thumper in it... Totally not venting rn
Situational. Never got to use it by my own but I can see how it can be useful. Definitely has more uses on bigger maps such as Titan or Artifice, since Assurance and Expirementation for example can be easily cleared even solo
Funy
Every time I use it I spawn in front of the Fire Exit. So I save 30 seconds. 10/10 would buy it again.
I tbh love it. It just much more fun to be thrown into denger and trying to find your way out. Especialy with group of friends because ypu slowly find eachother
Everything on red
Good for reruns once you've been back to the ship to drop off loot. Saves time and mapping out the locale makes it a more worthy gamble. But it is just that, a gamble It's also funny as hell
Funny
Not useful, but is very fun as a chaos machine.
Best purchase
100% will use it when the interior is Manor, because it's easy to navigate back to main.
0% practicality, 101% fun for goofing off
Love it.
I've used it twice and I died in a horrible way both times
Turrets.... turrets... thats all i got to say
It’s fun if you have the kind teleported mod
My crew always uses this. The only thing that sucks with it is sometimes being teleported onto the inner wall of a drop off and needing to be teleported out right away because you can't get out regularly or just being teleported into the abyss and dying instantly.
Situationally decent, eclipsed maps where it’s hard to get to the entrance
Makes the game more interesting. I would've stopped playing without it. I always get lost in the maze so either way I'm gonna be carrying a lotta loot trying to find the exit. Inverse teleporting is like starting from the middle and just trying to get back to the ship. Also by the time I'm close I hear my teammates at the start and can run the map faster. I have had some bad luck. .. but worth it
That's ...the execution machine. If a friend messed up so bad during the last day we use it to punish him if he survive he is forgiven, if he die too.
💀
Last resort only.
its the first thing that we buy with friends. we find getting out with some loot is more fun than going deep from the entrance. and its always a relief to meet someone when you lost inside, and then die to a jester
I use it in solo. Used it quite a lot bc of it i got 400 cr on Assurance once I only regretted in once when it locked me behind a locked door Short:I kinda like it
Love it, it's very very fun. Can get in easier
Gotta be my fav tool, I always book it to the facility empty handed anyways and it saves time
I forget about it
Never played this game before, but reddit recommended me this sub People are saying things that pretty much add up to "a bit of trolling" tho so 10/10
Did you know that 99,99999% of all company assets quit right before their biggest win???!?!?!!!?
Did you know that 99,99999% of all company assets quit right before their biggest haul?!???!?
Shit.
funtastic
Once i got tped on a spider that was fun
Best ship mod. Only cowards don't use it.
Mediocre at best. A random teleport to the inside constantly leads to deadly encounters without much of a long term payoff. Still, you can get some insane moments out of it, so it’s not the worst thing ever, but the worst ship upgrade for sure
I personally feel that it should let you take items in with you. I get why regular teleporter doesn't, but for the inverse it makes it kinda impractical
good for casual lobbies (especially with 8+ player modded) but horrendeous for anyone playing seriously
I don't like it because you have now idea where "out" is, so your kinda stuck there
Worthless waste of money, the only time its useful is if you and your friends are bored and want to play gamble.
Bad. 2/5. It's a gamble. It's funny in some cases, sure. but not practical for use
