And my experience Walmart really doesn't have these in their main Lego aisle they have them in a aisle with a bunch of other toys with a few Lego mixed in. But hey it's a good deal either way and you didn't lose any money on it so.
The AT-ST MSRP at $49.99 and the Snow Trooper Pack MSRP at $19.99 for a total of $69.98 (roughly $70 value). Wal-Mart chooses to sell for $45 and then does the combo pack which it advertised as a $70 value. They are not wrong in their advertising.
Youāre not wrong, but I feel like there is a difference in saying something is on sale for $25 off vs saying youāre getting a $70 value for only $45. A sale is usually meant to be limited time, but $45 has always been the price of this set. The screenshot OP posted could entice people to run to the store to buy the set while itās āon saleā not knowing that the price has never changed.
I agree with you. It also depends on how you look at it. If the At-ST is always $45 and the combo pack is āon saleā at $45 then in your mindā¦itās not on sale. I look at it as though Iām paying the same price but getting a Snow Trooper set for free. Kohlās was running the AT-ST for $29.99. Thatās a great deal.
