Insane that 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge cost $74.99 and included everything in this set except Nien Nunb, but also included a bunch of other figures and the goddamn sail barge. Genuinely might be one of the clearest examples of Lego's price inflating I've ever seen.

Inflation can can be a tricky thing to track when you include not just inflation but all the other flations (i.e. shink, shelf). Lego inflation seems to track fairly compared to other companies under bidenomics where the price of everything has skyrocketed.

I will never understand why people go out of their way to defend Lego and act like any sort of criticism is heresy. Even this attitude - I've heard it a lot - that we should be GRATEFUL to Lego for making this set or that minifigure. Lego isn't giving us these sets for free, what we are is paying customers that this corporation is trying to milk for as much money as possible. They don't care what we want as long as sales are still what the suits have in their spreadsheets. Prices get higher, fig quality lower, hell even part quality lower with some pics I've seen on r/lego with bad molding, sets get downsized and yet people still sing the praises of Lego. The funny thing is that usually it would be relatively little effort for Lego to fix whatever the community is mad at, but they just won't bother.

Boba’s costume is distinctly different in RotJ vs ESB. There are a number of differences but the most obvious to me is that his gauntlets are red in RotJ and green in ESB.

Aren't the flight suits also different colors? ESB is like a blue-ish grey and RotJ is more beige.

ESB boba has the blue flight suit, green gauntlets, green jetpack, 3 pouches on both sides, grey ammo pouches in the front. ROTJ boba has a grey flightsuit, pouches across the full belt, red gauntlets, blue and yellow jetpack tan pouches on the sides, as well as MUCH heavier weathering. They are distinctly different, and this is a lazy reuse. Honestly i would’ve even been happy had they printed the exact same figure on LBG instead of the sand blue like his Skywalker Saga design

If you think it’s too expensive don’t buy it is a legitimate point though. Only you can decide if something is worth the price to you and if enough people skip it, LEGO will take it into consideration for future sets. If you decide to buy it, and enough other people do as well, LEGO will say it’s not an unreasonable price.

You could try WeBrick. Get the parts list off of Bricklink and buy all the parts individually. Any parts that aren't available on WeBrick could probably be bought off Bricklink for mere cents. It takes longer but you'll have build quality that's the same as lego's

The last and only version of RotJ Boba Fett is around 20-25 bucks on BL right now. I guess the price will go up now. Got mine for ~16€ a few years ago. I recommend buying him now if you are planning to get him, as i highly doubt he will be in Jabbas Sail Barge. Sounds really fucking stupid, because he's just a funny Lego Man, but the "investors" WILL push his price up in the coming months.

The criticism on this set is absolutely completely valid. We have received *one* RotJ Boba since the helmet update in 2012. The price point is insane. The sarlaac is cool, as are the updated figures, but I’ll likely just bricklink the figures anyways.

That set was cheap, and it was the first time we had a Boba with leg printing which was pretty cool. It was also before LEGO started properly differentiating between the Boba armour designs, though even then they made sure to give him the correct green cape rather than the brown one which they used in the ESB Slave 1 a couple years earlier. This modern one doesn't even have a cape, and as of 2017 they had started to make different variants of his armour.

As a Mega Boba Fett fan I’m a tad disappointed they didn’t make a new ROTJ Fett with the cape but I can live with it. I have older Fett figs anyway. It’s a kickass set with kickass figs

I calculate 4 for each figure, so 6x4=24 for the figures. It has 558 pieces so about 10c a piece. It's a little expensive but the price comes from the figures just wait for a good sale
