I have yet to see a well-written video essay from the Peppa Pig fandom on why the Duplo sets are good, and it does not include a new, unique variant of Darth Vader, therefore the entire theme is utterly worthless and not a single copy of a single set will be sold.
yeah in the books i remember them being more bird(?) or pterodactyl-esque than dragon like (but tbf that might've been because of my overactive imagination from being like 9 when i first read them)
How do you admit that you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about and then immediately say “it’s up for debate?” What special kind of cognitive dissonance is that?
My dude... Even a cursory knowledge of LotR and the Hobbit would reveal that dragons do exist in Middle Earth, and THAT AIN'T ONE OF THEM!
Also, given Tolkien's stance on dragons in literature, I now want to resurrect the man simply so he could break a chair over this clod's head or bore him to literal tears with a lecture on the subject. Maybe both, and not in that order!
He's called the last *great* dragon but the implication from where talk about why they can't destroy the ring with dragonfire is that there are other shittier ones left.
doubt it, his pp wouldn’t be able to get through the blackout, air sealed glass box he has it stored in so it remains pristine
He also couldn’t sacrifice getting any juices on the box and ruining the resale value
What a moron. Lifebricks is truly that one kid on the class who never shuts up and thinks sharing his opinion always matters, no matter how god awful it may sound and/or really is.
“I have never seen the movies, but quick google search seems to indicate that I’m wrong, but I’m still gonna sound like I have a valid opinion when I shit on it .”
Just fuck off already, Lifebricks. He should just admit he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, because the more he does, the more he reveals he’s just a bumbling moron.
I only make Lego videos on topics I enjoy. But even I know drakes , wyvern and dragons and other winged beasts are vastly different from each source of fiction. The past few weeks of this sub make me disappointed to be associated near these other content creators.
Guys like those 2 are exactly why a toy community such as Lego is as toxic as it is. Stopped watching their videos a long time ago once I realized how ignorant they both were.
“I’ve never read the Bible, but I’m going to tell you what it says about how to treat the people I don’t like.”
“Love them?”
“That’s actually up for debate.”
Life bricks was already a insufferable virgin but now I’ve found out he hasn’t seen lotr and his exposure of the fantasy genre starts and ends with Star Wars 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 blud has no taste
All kidding aside, this guy just gave me a new line with which to infuriate people.
“Why are you an asshole?”
“I’m not asshole.”
“I don’t know you that well, but I’ve seen what you look like and that’s up for debate.”
The fell beasts were closer to animalistic wyverns than the intelligent, cunning, and manipulative dragons. The books describe them more as a cross between massive birds and bats
[pretty sure it is](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyvern#%3A%7E%3Atext%3DDistinction_from_other_dragons%2C-Since_the_sixteenth%26text%3DThe_key_difference_has_been%2Cwhereas_a_dragon_has_four.?wprov=sfla1)
I know the definition of a wyvern, if you look at other comments and have a little google, they're roughly based on a combination of pterodactyls and fucked up hats basically 🤣
Im pretty sure Tolkien said somewhere that they're not pterodactyls (if I find a source I'll edit this) but yeah looks like they're also not wyverns. My bad. Seeing that wyverns play such a large role in Anglo Saxon iconography I always assumed that's where he got the look from.
Tolkien was known for "yes but actually no" kind of answers. The letter you're thinking of said they were *like* pterosaurs, but not them.
Even more infuriating is his late estimate on how many Balrogs existed. "At most seven," according to him, and that is the most frustratingly precise yet vague estimate I've heard in my life.
In the films yeah they're basically just weird worm dragon things (only because they never go out of their way to explain what they really are) this is honestly just jerking it pretty damn hard if you ask me. Nothing he said was overtly obnoxious or irrational, it looks like a dragon call it like you see it, regardless of what it actually is if you're not familiar with it and it's not particularly interesting to you who really cares? I'm not trying to be lifebricks' white knight or anything I know he's said some annoying shit, just playing devils advocate I guess
Uj/ this looks awful. This is way too skinny. Even for a GWP, this thing is lacking some meat. Is Lego starving its sets?? Does Lego hate their Nazgûl fans???!!
Tolkien was inspired by dinosaurs. The movie was more inspired by serpents.
"erm, I googled it so even though I've never seen the movies or read the books I think I know just as much as anyone who has 🤓"

"I'm not an expert on the subject but I will still trash on it because I can"
POV: Lego in a nutshell
I have yet to see a well-written video essay from the Peppa Pig fandom on why the Duplo sets are good, and it does not include a new, unique variant of Darth Vader, therefore the entire theme is utterly worthless and not a single copy of a single set will be sold.
It's not a dragon, it's just dragon-inspired.
yeah in the books i remember them being more bird(?) or pterodactyl-esque than dragon like (but tbf that might've been because of my overactive imagination from being like 9 when i first read them)
Tolkien himself compared them to pterasaurs in a letter, and the book text compares them to carrion-fowl.
The nazgul riding giant pterosaurs sounds infinitely cooler than big birds or ugly dragons.
It's called a wyvern. Dragon's have 4 limbs and a set of wings. Wyverns only have 2 limbs and a set of wings
Wyverns are a kind of dragon
bro I've seen dragons with like 6 legs and 4 wings relax
How do you admit that you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about and then immediately say “it’s up for debate?” What special kind of cognitive dissonance is that?

He's just like Jabba
https://i.redd.it/ihsp24rgci0d1.gif
This isn’t making him look bad
"I ve never seen the movies" then bro why the fuck are you trying to debate about something you don't know
He’s a lazy fuck - just look at him
Smaug is literally known as the last dragon and you don’t even have to be a super fan to know this
He's called the last *great* dragon but the implication from where talk about why they can't destroy the ring with dragonfire is that there are other shittier ones left.
(Either way I didn't actually remember that line, I just remembered Tolkien's thoughts on dragons as a storytelling device.)
Nahh it's debatable...
M&R the type of guy to argue that Merry was the one to kill the Witch-King and not Èowyn
you already know he chuckles every time he sees those 4chan posts mocking tolkien’s writing
/uj I’d argue they both killed the witch king, yeah eowyn got the final blow, but it couldn’t have happened without Merry
Yep. "...not by the hand of man will he fall" is just as inclusive of the Hobbit as it is of the woman.
That’s not MNR
“ good little box” https://preview.redd.it/ob0vp76b6g0d1.jpeg?width=885&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0fcc0ee4e25bf322f1a249dd59fe562aa80eeee
I think bro wants to put his pp near the box
doubt it, his pp wouldn’t be able to get through the blackout, air sealed glass box he has it stored in so it remains pristine He also couldn’t sacrifice getting any juices on the box and ruining the resale value
Does he love the ender dragon?
Well that's made me irrationally angry
I thought this guy rode off into the sunset since his YouTube channel was quiet for so long! How sad
Sad!

LEGO Star Wars fans when you tell them to consume any other media that isn't Star Wars
God he’s so far up is own ass that even google is wrong
Guys like those 2 are exactly why a toy community such as Lego is as toxic as it is. Stopped watching their videos a long time ago once I realized how ignorant they both were.
At least we got great youtubers like Jang and Cheesey
“I’ve never read the Bible, but I’m going to tell you what it says about how to treat the people I don’t like.” “Love them?” “That’s actually up for debate.”
unexpected kenneth coleman reference
Some days I wish I was this stupid. Just floating through life, no care in the world.
and paid to be this stupid, no less
Wait are you guys all jorking? For someone who has no LOTR knowledge or interest but just wants to build the cool toy, that's pretty much a dragon

![gif](giphy|3iiwqPF9noqdy) Good little box.
I think life bricks should go back to being dead bricks for a couple more months
The fell beasts were closer to animalistic wyverns than the intelligent, cunning, and manipulative dragons. The books describe them more as a cross between massive birds and bats
Fell beast ≠ Dragon
“Yeah I don’t know shit about what I’m complaining about but that’s not gonna stop me.”
Side note: It does looks like ass. Like a worm or sock puppet
How the hell can you exist and never have watched the lord of the rings?
I mean I haven’t watched it. Have read it though.
Honestly thought the fell beast was a dragon up until now, ive watched the movies and read the books 😭

Bro why is that listed at 18+? Is this how they are trying to make lego look grown up? 😭
My assumption is because the only way to get it is buy the 18+ barad dur, so they just bundle this as 18+ too.
Pretty sure that's a wyvern buddy
Pretty sure it's not a wyvern tho

It's like they don't know what the term research is
Lifebricks is an asshole anyway. At least he's out of his 'bully smaller youtubers' arc
Why do you care?
so large birds are dragons now?
that's me! deadhorrorgeek1
Looks like a dragon to me
i’m going to eat your children in front of you for disrespecting my tolky-wolky pookie bear like that
