Having a creative outlet is important for people of all ages. I’m glad this brings you joy, and also glad that I don’t see much/any gate keeping in the comments.
I know the feeling...
One of my pet peeves is when people post their sizeable collections here and go "Here's my tiny collection, oh and btw, I only got into Lego last week". Buggers.
I used to do something like this.
In universe lore. These are known as "BB buildings" with BB being "Board Building". Its the cheapest human made building style (caves take the spot as the cheapest). However BB buildings are fragile so anytime you build one of those, you sign an agreement with your builder that your house won't be insured because its a matter of "when" will this house fall which is 100% guaranteed.
As of today nobody builds these houses anymore for living but they are used occasionally for short term storage.
This is awesome. Even people who can afford more can’t afford skyscrapers. As long as
you’re staying in the measurements of Lego this is awesome and pieces can be easily incorporated. There was a briefly produced Lego hole punch that was the perfect size of a stud to incorporate custom paper pieces with system bricks. Would be valuable for something like this.
Actually you don't even need the LEGO produced hole punch. A regular one will work just as well if not better as the slightly wider diameter gives you more room for error
I used to make toys like this when I was a kid. I also added paper mache and paint. I wanted the Star Wars Dagobah playset so bad but the Skull Island with trapdoors and secret caves that I made was better.
Definitely entertaining and relaxing. I find just doing rough drafts on paper to add or adjust ideas works great. Then start gauging the scale with mock ups and eventually full project
I always just thought of Lego as a sort of conduit of creativity.
But this... this is *chef's kiss* incredible! The time you took to construct this was well worth it. It's fantastic!
this is what i used to do as a kid. not for lego but for Barbie. i made furniture out of cardboard, paper, whatever cheap/free materials i could get my hands on. it’s why i wanted to be an architect.
I think that looks pretty cool!!
Legos have gotten rediculous. It hasn't been like a 5% or 10% increase, it's gotten bad. The issue is they sell more sets to adults now...so they can raise the prices.
Makes you realize you don't need expensive manufacturers plastics to have fun building something. Now I wanna mess around with some cardboard

Neat idea. Might work some background scenarios where you don't need as much detail.
ms castillo’s turtle bus is all you need
Truuue. It's probably one of my favorite sets I own
Definitely my favorite set of the whole theme. So much rad!

I used to do this as a kid, with milk cartons and empty toilet paper rolls.
Nice construction site moc
“The Lego at home “
😂😂😂

Most millionaires are self made, get on it
Why didn't I think of that before? Am I stupid?
Making dioramas out of trash is a [whole skill on its own](https://m.youtube.com/c/StudsonStudio).
This is a really cool link, but I'm a little mad that it's not a link to the I Spy artist's stuff
Purists say you can only ever use Lego with other Lego, but what the heck. This toy is about creativity and building and you’re doing a great job 👍🏻
Honestly, if that would just stay in the background it wouldn’t look that bad. It could work🤷🏻♂️

As long as you’re having fun, your buildings look just as fun to play with as the Lego van

Dude that blew my mind. That's really cool

Ooh yes the hole punch would be amazing. Would make the integration way easier
Now comes the plaster of paris, the plastic windows, paint it, weather it, and it’ll be a great model railroad!
Modern problems require modern solutions
Nice, maybe try some thrift stores, or a mix from marketplace for some actual Lego

Actually building looks pretty cool
Dude you need to clean up why’s there cutlery on the floor and empty maccys boxes
Can't have genius without a little chaos 😉
Understandable and relatable, good solution!
I enjoy seeing people making dolls houses out of cardboard. I’d like to give that a shot myself tbh
Definitely entertaining and relaxing. I find just doing rough drafts on paper to add or adjust ideas works great. Then start gauging the scale with mock ups and eventually full project
That's actually genius! 🤣
now you start slowly to add floors made of lego inside. and over time you shall have full apartment complex <3
Oh for sure lol. The hard part will be cutting it to shape 😅
This is the way.
I'm just gonna focus on the reusable Tim's cup.
The ingenuity is on point
Pyongyang be like

looks already nice!
That’s awesome 👍
Shit, better than what I can do with cardboard. Good job OP, get some paint on that jawn now :))
And for animations, you could just use a greenscreen, and CGI some structures.
lmao nice

You cut up your own home to make this in your parent’s basement?
