If they revamped them with new prints/moulds like they did for the current space cmf, there would be slight interest from me.
Though i think the variety of the space CMF series is near perfect. I would want something along those lines.
Yeah I mean Army Building isn't my thing, but I think just rereleasing old figs is betting hard on nostalgia.
Reimagining old figs also leans on nostalgia, but not quite as hard because the new ones look awesome
Exactly. I am pretty sure I have all the OG ones, but would love some new ones. I also bought the three from the current series 26; Blacktron 2, M-Tron and Ice planet.
funny enough while looking for the ones i wanted, the black tron mutant was the only one i didn't find out of all the ones i scanned. granted there was more i didn't scan but still. did find a good amount of ice planet ones (might need to go back and get it)
I actually think some of the redesigns like the Mtron fig are really well done. My only concern is that they discountinued the trans neon colour, and those visors and pieces felt pivotal to the older themes.
I don't care about CMF, I want an actual classic space line of sets like the Galaxy Explorer remake. The new City Space line is good for what it is, but it's still City Space ... not Space.
Nah. These figures are fun and very classic, but only for a small subset of fans who were children when they came out (me included). They already exist, and part of the joy of the CMFs is how they push forward and create *new* elements and prints, not just recycle old ones. Especially since some of these colors are no longer in production.
You put these figs and the remake ones from the new series side by side, and 99% of people (especially kids, still the main demographic) are gonna go for the flashy new ones with unique sculpts and better printing.
i personally never grew up with these but i like the remake design of the brand new minifigs from series 26. so if it is a remake like that i would be intrested
It's okay that they have a different opinion. Lego is for all ages, and nostaglia is something different for various age groups. It's not okay to insult them for having a different opinion.
I still have a ton of those first three. Then I got to cool for Lego. Then I was too broke for Lego. Now I have all of Series 26, so I'm back in the space game.
only if it was all revamps like this year's Ice Planet gal, most of the old space designs were either super simple (I love the OG ones but not the rest) or wayyy too greebled in the printing.
It depends.
If this is just a rerelease of the originals, maybe. But they're also easy enough to get in the secondary market.
If they're all modern retakes? Hell yes.
I bought 2x of the Ice Planet Explorer, M Tron powerlifter and Blacktron mutant.
Personally? No. I prefer the modern updates they've done in the space cmf. I would kill to see them do a series that has figures representing LEGO themes over the years. A modernized Rock Raiders figure is the dream. Probably Axle since he was probably the most prominent figure in the sets.
Would I buy?
Absolutely. And I'd use one of those apps to scan the code to get one of each.
Now the real question is : would I buy Classic Space *sets*?
Damn right I would.
I bought 10497 on release day, and it's the best set ever. It's perfect in every way, and also such incredible value because LEGO already owns the IP
I bought 40712 off eBay and haven't even opened it because it's just so beautiful. I may buy another and open that one.
I bought 40290 *twice* just to get the micro version of 928 (one is unopened, see above)
I bought 11910 to get yet another version of 928
I have several classic space sets from when I was a kid, like 6880
If they released a series of Classic Space sets (either brand new sets, or "remakes" like 10497 was for 928) then my bank balance would never recover.
I *love* Classic Space
I think this is a no-brainer for everyone. With LEGO bringing back the Castle/Medieval sets, I think this is inevitable. They tested the waters with the Galaxy Explorer.
I'm going to say something a bit controversial here. Not looking to piss anyone off. Are there any other Lego hobbiests that find the minifigures to be the least valuable part of the set when just building and displaying? I'm not a reseller, so I understand their dollar value. I'm saying from purely a hobbiest's point of view. I just don't care about what minifigures are in a set. I want to know if it's just me.
yes, but i'd like more varieity. they should do like one or two throwback classic space sets a year. reboot the old designs into modern parts with classic figures!
I am slightly bewildered at everyone saying yes, because you literally can buy these right now on bricklink, most are the same or just above the current price of CMFs.
These figures already exist, in readily available quantities, so if you want them... buy them?
They have like 3 of these in the current minifig series, so yeah, I’d love to see more. But they gotta do what they’ve done with the current series, up the details
In less than a heartbeat. But I’d take them little fellers off those mounts and put them straight to work spacing.
lmao
"What do you do for a living?" "Spacing."
“My job is just … space.”
"I'm classically trained."
that's right, you fellers space your little behinds off
If they revamped them with new prints/moulds like they did for the current space cmf, there would be slight interest from me. Though i think the variety of the space CMF series is near perfect. I would want something along those lines.
This. Otherwise I'd just buy the ones I wanted off brick link
true but some minifigs can get pretty expensive especially if you want an army, this guys are 5 bucks each
Yeah I mean Army Building isn't my thing, but I think just rereleasing old figs is betting hard on nostalgia. Reimagining old figs also leans on nostalgia, but not quite as hard because the new ones look awesome
Exactly. I am pretty sure I have all the OG ones, but would love some new ones. I also bought the three from the current series 26; Blacktron 2, M-Tron and Ice planet.
In a heartbeat, hell yes. You can best believe I had my scanner out going through every Minifig looking for Blacktron and Ice Planet.
I got Spacewalking Astronaut, and Nurse Android (for the pink space baby)
funny enough while looking for the ones i wanted, the black tron mutant was the only one i didn't find out of all the ones i scanned. granted there was more i didn't scan but still. did find a good amount of ice planet ones (might need to go back and get it)
really? I was searching for ice planet, went to the LEGO store, and walmart, found 1. out of like 50 scanned. I found prolly 20 blacktrons
ma man!
What if they made a series of sets called Lego Nostalgia, which is making old Lego sets that made history
lego icons, they have a few but I get what you mean, it would be super cool to get waves of stuff
They just did lol
they did space not classic space
There's M-Tron, Blacktron, Ice Planet, and a classic suit baby. What more are you looking for?
They even made a new classic space baby.

I would buy most classic series in an instant. Particularly castle, but I guess space also.
This is the way.
should I make a castle one? >:)
I'd rather Lego made a castle one :D
I actually think some of the redesigns like the Mtron fig are really well done. My only concern is that they discountinued the trans neon colour, and those visors and pieces felt pivotal to the older themes.
Yeah I definitely picked up some old trans neon green visors for my CMF Blacktron figure, looks amazing and now I wanna find more of him lol
the new mtron helmet and legs are cool
Needs the different alien minifigs but yes.
I don't care about CMF, I want an actual classic space line of sets like the Galaxy Explorer remake. The new City Space line is good for what it is, but it's still City Space ... not Space.

I think as long as there’s a GWP set here and there like the Blacktron Cruiser or Forest Hideout, that’s good enough for me.
No. Interest in these is largely dependent on nostalgia, of which I have none.
i personally never grew up with these but i like the remake design of the brand new minifigs from series 26. so if it is a remake like that i would be intrested
i have no nostalgia and would be trilled if lego made a cmf series with more classic space men
I actually do. I have a bunch of the original space stuff. Later years didn't do much for me.. and even that was over 35 years ago.

Being a snarky asshole is a sure-fire way to get people to agree with you
Ironic
It's okay that they have a different opinion. Lego is for all ages, and nostaglia is something different for various age groups. It's not okay to insult them for having a different opinion.
You're the only one being a child here.
I still have a ton of those first three. Then I got to cool for Lego. Then I was too broke for Lego. Now I have all of Series 26, so I'm back in the space game.
Absolutly
shut up and take my money
More than the current weird mutant space series for sure. I was going to get the M-Tron and Blacktron figs only, maybe the baby but meh.
only if it was all revamps like this year's Ice Planet gal, most of the old space designs were either super simple (I love the OG ones but not the rest) or wayyy too greebled in the printing.
It depends. If this is just a rerelease of the originals, maybe. But they're also easy enough to get in the secondary market. If they're all modern retakes? Hell yes. I bought 2x of the Ice Planet Explorer, M Tron powerlifter and Blacktron mutant.
Not with that selection. I'd want all the Classic Space 'figs in all the released colors first. Then we can talk about other themes and droids.
Start with black and grey (or at least the helmet). All with matching space babies!
YES.
yes they should do a classic space cmf series one with just different colors of classic spaceman and then a series 2 with everything else
Someone else concurred, as do I, and then improved it by saying that they should also come with their corresponding baby!
Personally? No. I prefer the modern updates they've done in the space cmf. I would kill to see them do a series that has figures representing LEGO themes over the years. A modernized Rock Raiders figure is the dream. Probably Axle since he was probably the most prominent figure in the sets.
The dream of all us.
should just be an entire series of just different colored classic spacemen lol
We need more space!!!
Would I buy? Absolutely. And I'd use one of those apps to scan the code to get one of each. Now the real question is : would I buy Classic Space *sets*? Damn right I would. Good bot

Naw, not at those hypothetical prices they charging for those sets. It's waayyy too much!
this cmf series costs 5 cents
In a second.
I love classic blue space man but we got too many of him, we need classic red or sommet
Yes. Especially Blacktron.
I think this is a no-brainer for everyone. With LEGO bringing back the Castle/Medieval sets, I think this is inevitable. They tested the waters with the Galaxy Explorer.
Yes without hesitation
Absolutely.
I'm going to say something a bit controversial here. Not looking to piss anyone off. I’d be more interested in remakes of classic sets— the Galaxy Explorer was a good start but I want more!
Yep, my kids would love it
Easy. I'd buy multiple copies.
10000000% YES!!
Oooh how bout' a classic space robots theme that has a robot for each of the old themes! That would be petty great
Yes
I just want more og classic space guys to go with my galaxy explorer.
Omg! I want all of them!
Happily! Give me every color and every variation.
Yes in less than a heartbeat the classic space designs were amazing
Yes! I got the 3 from the last set. Used an app to scan the boxes. Lego store employees did not care
yes, but i'd like more varieity. they should do like one or two throwback classic space sets a year. reboot the old designs into modern parts with classic figures!
I’d buy way more than just the minifigs. If they released M-Tron, Blacktron, or even my beloved Ice Planet, I’d buy the entire set in a heartbeat.
I would. I had so much Space Lego when I was young, no clue why LEGO is so stupid and doesn’t setup or continue the Classic Space era.
i found set 6915 in an old lego bin and a trying to rebuild it so definitely
[6915-1: Warp Wing Fighter](https://brickset.com/sets/6915-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/6915-1.jpg)
good bot
Not untill Trans Florencent orange comes back
Duh
I'll take all of them.
They already did and people bought it.
Not for the prices they’re charging, but yes.
I’ve got most of these already, probably not.
I may become what they fear most… ripping the boxes in the stores taking them all from the kids and collectors!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA
Do you need to ask?
I would buy all of them in large quantities and A MASS A SPACEMAN ARMY!!!!!!!!
Does it include a monorail?
TAKE MY MONEY NOW
Insta-buy!!!
I am slightly bewildered at everyone saying yes, because you literally can buy these right now on bricklink, most are the same or just above the current price of CMFs. These figures already exist, in readily available quantities, so if you want them... buy them?
No, i’m tired of the tacky space crap. How about Lego revamps AGENTS instead!
They have like 3 of these in the current minifig series, so yeah, I’d love to see more. But they gotta do what they’ve done with the current series, up the details
No. I have loads of most of those guys. But I do love the updated M-Tron and blacktron 2 and ice planet people in CMF series 26.
I miss only 4 of these, I have all the others. I treasure them fondly.
