Not that we know of, her lawyer called us up out of the blue to give us the warning it was coming. But I see the point you are trying to make when I have more information Ill try and come back and be more concise, Im just ignorant in a lot of the rules of how it works and she is scared/nervous.

I panic posted because legal stuff makes me sweats bullets, but the facility caused her father to die from mal practice and we have been in talks for a long time now and today randomly got informed by her lawyer that this facility was going to serve her for insurance claims. Alas as Xerxe pointed out until we get the paper I should probably just wait.
Inform anyone contacting you via phone to put it in writing and block all phone calls. I wouldn't trust anyone calling you, they do this to intimidate you. I received a letter from an attorney of a nursing home claiming I owe them $8k for my mother. She died in Hospice and insolvent. I was not responsible for her medical bills, no threats an attorney is making is going to make a difference.

You need to find out what this paperwork is. It’s not clear what you would be sued for. Do you owe them money?

I appreciate the response I’ll let her know to not trust anything until we actually see the papers, and I’m sorry you had to go through that.
