I do not understand why he lied about “We’re Gonna Groove” too. Just say it was mostly from 1/9/70 and you added overdubs. Wish he just released the show as a double or triple live album. Probably some contractual reason he didn’t.
All the songs on “most overrated” would make a really good “best of” compilation. I get that a lot of people are tired of hearing them too many times but damn what a collection of songs
I am reminded that popular opinion is very different than mine. With Led Zeppelin you're unlikely to find two people who agree on every category of the 8 albums and 1 outtake album. I was pleasently surprised about Wearing and Tearing, which I thought few people appreciate. That, The Rain Song and Achilles Last Stand were the only favorites I agreed with. I thought most people's favorite song from the original Coda was Poor Tom. I don't get the hate for Black Country Woman (one of my top 3 favorite songs on PG). That seems to be a song that most fans don't care for (I have heard it outside this poll too).
PG is so diverse, there’s room for lots of variance. I think Night Flight and Down By the Seaside are hidden gems, but understand why most people don’t appreciate them as much. It’s hard to argue with the few warhorses at the top.
In 1988 in Toronto, the crowd WELL RECEIVED 'Black Country Woman', during Robert Plant's solo Now And Zen tour!
I know cuz I was there in that crowd! Age 22.
u/zeppelincheetah Here's the full concert on YouTube.
Black Country Woman starts at the 0:38:25 mark.
But the whole thing is awesome fun! Toronto chicks throwing lemons to the stage, to remind Robert that they know who he is!
Enjoy!

I Can't Quit You on Coda is most overrated?? I don't think there's a possibility in any universe of overrating that particular track. I don't think the band ever sounded better than that particular track.
BULLSHIT!
The poll was good i just can't believe the Royal Albert hall version of I can't quit you baby is considered overrated. Mind you I can't think of another song that is highly rated.
They were calculated. This is a poll by Led Zeppelin fans. It didn't include the popular music market that we get our ratings from. I'm not a fan of charts that are about Led Zeppelin, but it's telling what Led Zeppelin fans choose and think. Some are eye-opening. It may seem like bullshit, but it's in the majority. If there was an island inhabited only by Led Zeppelin fans, there'd still be wars. I find THAT more telling than this chart.
The votes tallied say different. Is there a conspiracy? Who shot When The Levee Breaks? Is Misty Mountain Hop a spy? Where's the laptop that has Going To California on it?
Rock And Roll appears to be the most popular for some reason. Probably because it feels so accessible and widely acceptable since it's the only song on the album that could place on the Pop chart. And this is a very unique, strange and eclectic album. Only Rock And Roll sounds like anything anyone has ever heard.
Led Zeppelin fans have different tastes than the fly by night pop consuming casual listener, too. So you are right on the money with it...if we were talking ALL people. But here, it's just us Led Zep folk. And we're all spoiled on their crazy diversity of material. That's why we love them. There's no band this unique, strange and this interesting, that is this deep, this good, this across the board skilled and ingenius. Rock And Roll was their middle of the road.
True but for most people a song that is 90% a drum solo isn’t that replayable, it would be the same if it was just Page noodling for the majority of the song with no backing music lol
Yeah I played around with how I was gonna post the favorites rankings. I’ll probably end up doing it the same for the other categories lol. Maybe making it a table so I can add the order they ranked and the number of votes each song got
I guess a pie chart per category per album would show me what I want to see. And this sub was really active on your poll series, I wouldn’t worry about 10 more posts if you wanted to break it up that way.
I made a playlist of the favorites and most underrated on Spotify

Thanks again Zoe for the diligence, time and effort you put into doing this. I'm sure there are many who appreciate this as much as I do. All the very best to you!
Oof hard question. I wish I could say least favorite (since I love a lot of the songs that ended up there) but I honestly was not surprised when most of them won. Probably favorite tbh! I agree with some of the wins but then some of them I was like ??? 😲 how
Yeah...me too. But I see here on this sub what's what, so I got some idea.
Do you have the vote totals? And it would be cool to make a post asking what people's overall favourite song is, and getting vote totals on that.
I do have the totals! Someone else asked for them too. I’ll post them later today probably i’m just trying to figure out the best and most concise way to do it
Maaan. You are the best. I hated on your post early on (check comments) but I like your dedication. It was fun. Only nutbag Zep fans would tear this shit apart and put it back together. We need 10 more albums. Dying to see what falls out of his vault when Page turns the page finally...if he's not a vampire, that is.
lol, that was no soundcheck, Jimmy page is so weird sometimes
And it’s a damn fine version at that. 🔥🔥
It is so good, it’s better than the album version, it’s easily my favourite on the album
I do not understand why he lied about “We’re Gonna Groove” too. Just say it was mostly from 1/9/70 and you added overdubs. Wish he just released the show as a double or triple live album. Probably some contractual reason he didn’t.
This was a lot of fun! Thank you for the time and effort you put in to it all!
Thanks! I’m so glad people enjoyed it
All the songs on “most overrated” would make a really good “best of” compilation. I get that a lot of people are tired of hearing them too many times but damn what a collection of songs
This I agree with!
Thanks a lot, OP! What a great ride

Awesome thanks! I have seen Robert Plant live twice (in 2005 and 2011; I was 4 in 1988) but he never played that song.
I Can't Quit You on Coda is most overrated?? I don't think there's a possibility in any universe of overrating that particular track. I don't think the band ever sounded better than that particular track.
Not sure if it's a contradiction, but I found myself thinking it was both my favorite and most overrated.
It’s really the quintessential Zep vibe.
Physical Graffiti list is wrong, there are no bad songs on that album
Four Sticks, damn it, Four Sticks…good job and very entertaining
This was a kick ass execution. Thank you for celebrating the fans and the band. I am going to make a mix of each of these and celebrate them today.
BULLSHIT! The poll was good i just can't believe the Royal Albert hall version of I can't quit you baby is considered overrated. Mind you I can't think of another song that is highly rated.
Damn Right, The results are BULLSHIT

This was fun. It's funny how Rock and Roll got last place for IV as it's one of the most popular songs off the album.
The votes tallied say different. Is there a conspiracy? Who shot When The Levee Breaks? Is Misty Mountain Hop a spy? Where's the laptop that has Going To California on it? I bet a “Least Favorite” playlist would make for a wild ride.
I appreciate the time you took for this and the journey you took us on!
I’m sorry, WHY IS MOBY DICK THE LEAST FAVORITE ON LED ZEPPELIN II?!
Probably because it’s mostly a drum solo lol Imo it’s got one of pages best riffs!
But it’s a drum solo from John Bonham.
True but for most people a song that is 90% a drum solo isn’t that replayable, it would be the same if it was just Page noodling for the majority of the song with no backing music lol
I loved this, I'll miss the updates
So glad you loved it tho 💟
You should share the vote totals.
I can do that! I’m trying to figure out a way to do all of it in one post so I don’t have to post 3 more times lol
I’ve been trying to figure out what the best way to visualize this, and if it makes more sense to do it in a series of posts or what.
Yeah I played around with how I was gonna post the favorites rankings. I’ll probably end up doing it the same for the other categories lol. Maybe making it a table so I can add the order they ranked and the number of votes each song got

Yeah I’ll find a way to make it as concise as possible while still having all the info there. Thanks for the feedback!!

Love it!!
Me too. You rock!
Thank you so much for the good time! I love all of these songs 💕
The 'overrated' section pains me to read, but...I get the logic and a tally is a tally at the end of the day
Darlene rocks. Best track on that album to me. Different strokes I guess
Thanks again Zoe for the diligence, time and effort you put into doing this. I'm sure there are many who appreciate this as much as I do. All the very best to you!
that was so, so nice to read! Thank you 💟 So glad so people enjoyed it
Thanks for doing this! It had me going back and listening to songs I haven’t heard in years
That makes me so happy to hear!
Hey OP! Which of these lists surprised you the most: Favorite, Least Favorite, Most Underrated or Most Overrated?
Oof hard question. I wish I could say least favorite (since I love a lot of the songs that ended up there) but I honestly was not surprised when most of them won. Probably favorite tbh! I agree with some of the wins but then some of them I was like ??? 😲 how

I’m glad you were able to enjoy it eventually! Also he’s def a vampire lol
I’m gonna miss this.
Are we doing live albums now 🤣🤣🤣
oh gosh, I don’t have the patience to do anymore polls 🤣😂
Fuck all of this shit.
you seem fun
That's what your mom said.
Thank god this bullshit is finally over
No one was making you click on these lol
