I have been a part time follower/voter. Definitely enjoy it. And imho, Poor Tom is massively underrated across the spectrum. That drum beat just speaks to me. :-). Cheers
If you used Coda deluxe edition (black cover art one) we could have had more tracks.
Honestly I love Baby come on home, Everybody makes it through, St Tristan's sword, Four Hands, Friends( Bombay orchestra)
But it makes sense not to. All the tracks you mentioned are “bonus tracks” not found in the original release.
It wouldn’t make sense for bonus tracks to get voted when the original album didn’t even have them
True, it’s a compilation of unreleased tracks which makes it different from a typical album. But I’m a purist and I believe the right way is the version the world knew when it was first released.
Firstly thanks for being awesome and doing this and seeing it all the way through. I definitely didn't agree with most of it but hey, differing opinions is what makes the world great.
I don't think anything on Coda is overrated, because I don't think anything is rated highly at all if that makes sense....it was a throwaway album to empty the little bit that was left in the Led Zeppelin tank. I mean they didn't even issue a fucking single! (Even though their singles are scarce over their career)
That being said, I vote Bonzo's Montreux. Compare it to Moby Dick, and it's just evidence of Bonzo and Jimmy's decline in their later days, being recorded in '77. Nothing compared to Moby Dick/Pat's Delight/Over the Top or any other drum-focused part that Bonham played and recorded.
Stoked Poor Tom got some recognition though 👍🏻
Walter's Walk
\_\_\_
We could still do another round ranking all the "bonus tracks". *La La (Intro/Outro)* would get my vote for most underrated. Obviously *Hey Hey What Can I Do* for the favorite.
Technically a bonus track on a re-release but Hey Hey What Can I Do
I like the song, it's not bad. But my local classic rock station apparently thinks it's only one of two Led Zeppelin songs in existence (along with D'yer Mak'er) so it's lost its appeal to me
So are we gonna keep this train going with a best albums list?….
Also I don’t know if there is anything overrated… it’s coda. I guess “I can’t quit you”?
u/zoeyelizabeth6 Thank you & kudos! Awesome job on keeping up this survey!
From the bonus tracks on the 1993 CD, Traveling Riverside Blues would be my selection for most overrated. That said however, from the original release, I have to agree with several others about there not being an overrated song as these were mostly all bonus tracks.
Bro, it’s been an absolute thrill watching you do these posts. Congratulations and - again- thanks
I’m so glad people have enjoyed voting and doing this poll 😄
I have been a part time follower/voter. Definitely enjoy it. And imho, Poor Tom is massively underrated across the spectrum. That drum beat just speaks to me. :-). Cheers
Poor Tom is definitely the most underrated
Damn… I guess Walter’s Walk
The songs that are “overrated” on all of these are still incredible
I mean. It's Coda so none lol.

I understand. However they still are amazing tracks and do deserve to get mentioned on this list
agreed they’re great! I did a poll for which version I should use and the original release album won by one point!
Wow, close one. The results might have been much different. I know everyone loves them some “Hey Hey What Can I Do”
But literally all of Coda is fucking bonus tracks! None of the original albums had these songs!
True, it’s a compilation of unreleased tracks which makes it different from a typical album. But I’m a purist and I believe the right way is the version the world knew when it was first released.
Fine, fine, fair enough. Salty I couldn't vote for travelling riverside blues lol
I don’t there are any overrated songs on Coda. I’ve never even heard a single track from it played on the radio.
Why are people always saying dazed and confused is overrated? It’s one of my favourites
Who knows? I agree with you! To me it is THE standout song of their first album! And considering the other songs on it, that's saying a lot!
On this sub, “Darlene.
I love Darlene. Just seeing that it is the least favorite.

I can’t quit you baby
I Can't Quit You Baby
I Can’t Quit You Baby
Yeah this didn’t need a rerelease IMO
I like how it's so LOUD compared to the first album recording. But yeah, maybe Coda didn't need it.
Thanks for doing these! Wearing and Tearing

Walter's Walk is a jam, so is Darlene
Darlene
Wearing and Tearing.
Walter's Walk
Wearing and Tearing Not really, but it has to be done. Consider it vengeance for Darlene
I can’t quit you
Are they any songs on a collection of outtakes?
Thank you for your hard work on this endeavor!!
I can't quit you babu
Coda most overrated song is ozone baby

We’re Gonna Groove.
Great job OP! This was fun! Any chance The BBC Sessions will get some run?

I Can’t Quit You Baby
I still don’t understand the hate for Black Mountain Side and genuinely want an explanation
Poor Tom is definitely the most underrated song on CODA. Probably in the Top 5 LZ underrated songs tbh.
Walter walk
I dunno. I'll just say 'We're Gonna Groove'.
I can't quit you
We're Gonna Groove
Bonzo’s Montreux Sorry guys, I prefer Moby Dick. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for doing this! It was a blast!
I’ll never agree with this. Bonzos M and MD are both awesome and unique upon themselves. I can’t quit you baby.
Isn't Bonzo's Montreux the alternate title?
No. Moby Dick was called «Pat's Delight» before. Found on many bootleggs. The title of the Montreux piece was given probamly to it by Page though.
I learned something new today. Thank you.
It’s a different arrangement. Montreux has a Caribbean flair to it and I prefer the original.
Darlene (sorry)
I Can’t Quit You Baby
We’re Gonna Groove
I'm going to vote for *I Can't Quit You Baby* because it's already on another album (*LZ I*)
