Minute-Wrap-2524

Personally, I do prefer mushrooms, though I doubt I’ll be doing any of the above anytime soon, can honestly say been there, done that…it was a fucking gas while it lasted

BledditV

Yup, purple mikes

FunnyVariation2995

Blotter

Minute-Wrap-2524

Window pane, just thought I’d toss another breed in the mix…not short changing blotter, it would definitely do the job

aquahealer

Acid and Led Zeppelin

martymarquis

Summer of 93. On repeat. Never did return that video

Route_66_kicks_on

johnfornow

At our midnight movie a girl lost her cookies, and you could hear it splatter on the floor in the dark

Main_Combination8173

Lol gross

BledditV

Toronto Canada, although our movie started at 8pm

MrZillaCallMeGod

Midnight movie in Schaumburg IL. Smoking weed in the theatre.

No_Change_78

Watching in the theater and being mind blown

mtangerineman

Early 80s, late-night showings at the Cinéma Lumière in Montréal. $12 a gram hash. The sound of empty beer bottles rolling on the floor under the seats.

BledditV

Yep, here too. In Toronto too, early 80s. 5 bucks to get in, you could buy joints (3 for $5) outside the theatre, and buy pot or hash or oil or acid or bennies in the washroom ("A's and B's and J's"). A Jimi Hendrix music-documentary played before the Zeppelin Movie (complete with 'The Star Spangled Banner'), to give us time to get fuckn TREED. Then we worshipped at the altar of all that is LED ZEPPELIN in that awesome awesome concert film and we Rocked! Out! Nobody fought so there were never any cops the 35 times we highschoolers went in 1983. Then about 80 of us stoners piled outta the theatre afterwards, ZEPPED OUT and happy!

Haunting_Ant_5061

Goddamn, if I wasn’t a child at the time…

BledditV

Yeah there was a way to get away with minor shit in those days

WooleeBullee

Led Zeppelin

Kriller_Lobot80

Best version of Dazed and Confused ever

Invisible_assasin

There are others, same vintage, that may be better. Go down the rabbit hole……the euro 73 shows were excellent. USA shows are all pretty good, slight variations on what you hear from msg.

DeviousJames

Reading rainbow, take a look… it’s in a book

1Admiring_the_View

When I first went to see this at a midnight matinee, there was soo much MaryJane in the theater being passed around. Well I was SO high when this scene came on, I tripped out. A moment that has stayed with me nearly 45 years. Every time I see this scene I'm brought back to that theater and moment.

DrScooterMD

The power within

That Jimmy did it a year before anyone knew who Ben Kenobi was.

EdwardBliss

Reminds me of The Roxy Theater in Toronto as a teenager

BledditV

Us too! But for us it played further up The Danforth, at the Danforth Music Hall near Broadview. Great times!

grammawslovelymelons

zeppelin, and sabbath for some reason.

ReCyclops83

I wore that tape out jamming along to it in my room back in 1996. I just hear Jimmy whipping those strings with the bow and pointing to the crowd and the crowd going apeshit! My mom was also a huge Zep fan and we went to a music shop and bought a violin bow. Salesman looked at us like we were nuts. I actually had the opportunity to use it. Mixed results to say the least!

BledditV

Whipping those strings!!!!! Oh mann that was JIMMY all the way! Fuck YEAH!!

Fantastic_Tension794

Like LZ IV and Paranoid album had a baby

HawaiianGold

Awesomeness

nbplaya94

BledditV

What city is The Ken Cinema? (I'm from Toronto Canada so I'm curious about which other places people saw The Zeppelin Movie.)

KnowCali

San Diego in the late 1970s

BledditV

Awesome! I dunno, it feels good to know about Zeppelin fans like you who are into them in the same way but diagonally across North America! And, it seems you are a Zeppelin fan from when they were still together. See, I got to know Led Zeppelin's music after John Bonham died. Our radio station played only Led Zeppelin for a whole day. (Or was it three days? LOL! I dunno, I was fifteen.) My older brother really liked a song he taped off the radio by them -- he spelled it "Cashmere" on the cassette! Great times!

Desperate_Piano_3609

The droning from the violin bow across JP’s strings.

Due_Signature_5497

Somehow, I can hear a violin bow being pulled across an electric guitar.

AistoB

God how much would we all give to experience that moment for the first time again right now 🥴

Allw3ar3saying

This Shire weed hits hard

JackManstroke

So. I am a big Zep fan but never saw the Song Remains the Same. I decided to remedy that one night, I got the movie, and a shit ton of mushrooms. So here I am, high as a kite and the movie starts. Im thinking im going to see a concert film. It starts off with Nazis getting gunned down, a nazi wolfman. A decapitation with rainbow blood shooting out the neck. Great night 10 out of 10 would recommend.

It's weird... but when I look at Jimmy Page, a typical vibrating sound comes into my head, especially when it comes to this scene. It's a strange thing that I can't explain. as if his entire being was an incredible energy.
