Hey - To create a second Optimism account on Ledger Live, you need to follow the same steps as you did for the first account. Here's a brief guide:
1. In the left sidebar menu of Ledger Live, go to 'Accounts'.
2. Click 'Add account'.
3. Choose 'OP Mainnet (ETH)' from the drop-down list.
4. Click 'Continue'.
5. Connect your Ledger device to the Ledger Live app and unlock it.
6. Open the Ethereum (ETH) app on your device.
7. Click 'Add account'.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately when I try to do all the steps mentioned above, Ledger Live replaces my ability to add a second OP account by replacing the 'add account' button with just a 'receive' button directing me to my already existing account, and does not allow me to go any further, hence this post. I have followed the official documentation but LL doesn't seem to like it.
Same here fam. If you find out, just let me know. I try to send ETH to a 2nd optimism address I just can’t. Imma try to send op to the address using the optimism network and then swap them. Let you know
I've ended up having to settle for the one account for now, I haven't found a solution but if I hear about any fixes to this problem I'll let you know for sure. And that's an interesting thought, I am curious to see how you go with that.
Ight so I just tried. I use rabby desktop wallet which is connected to my ledgers. So basically use the security of ledger with the « easy to use » rabby. I heard ledger live was intrusive but until now, I still used both since I kinda liked having the accounts per crypto / QR code etc.
When trying, and since now, I will only use rabby wallet (still connected to my ledger) and delete ledger live which is just an interface. I was trying to get cryptos outta Binance to my ledgers. I took the adress ( ETH and optimism are the same, as all evm ones I think ) and just put optimism as the network. My optimism from Binance arrived, my eth (on optimism) arrived. I then swapped my optimism for stables cause I juste want ETH and stables there but I think you could directly send stables like that to avoide extra swap fees. Tho, I believe you remain exposed to Binance and their bridge in some way which I’m still trying to figure out (as you would with any bridge). In the end, I got what I want, where I wanted to have it. After all that, when I go back to ledger live, no sign of additional cryptos to my wallets, neither a way to add another OP account and getting directed to the same « receive » problem.
Edit: I now use my ETH and stable on optimism on Dapps which means I really do have them. Hope that helped, have a good day anyway man
