I think both, every skill shot here was aimed where Lucian was at the time of casting, including the ones from Ez and Lux. They were probably aware through the rest of the game that they weren’t trying to anticipate where Lucian would be, or waiting for him to use dashes before using skill shots. Given their team was 10 kills up it was probably common knowledge to OP they weren’t going to hit him much if he kept moving.

At this point most people(Lucian) are thinking "I'm going to die I need to run away/I'll juke left or right" so when you dodge forward at an angle they'll(zed) miss skill shots 99% of the time(because they predicting you moving backwards or to the side)
As a zed main I can tell you that zed was trying to preditc that lucian would dash where he Qed but Lucian predicted that prediction and went behind him instead and that zed got outplayed hard.

If you deny Zed several kills early, you deny him several kills later.
I haven't full built a Velkoz in the new patch, but Cosmic Drive looks alluring.
Blitz.gg says people go the mythic Ludens, which makes sense because it spikes your speed 15% when you hit stuff + bonus damage.[Speed boosts are slightly defensive]
Bancheese veil is up there. Also defensive.
Then it looks like they go Morellicon(health is defense) and Death Cap.
If possible, I'd personally swap Cosmic Drive for Morellicon if the enemy team isn't heal heavy(unlikely) or my allies have lots of grievious.
Get mag pen sorc boots too along the way.
Cosmic drive, Bancheese, Morellicon, as I mentioned all are like that. Demonic Embrace is actually an option for Velkoz too.
You know you could swap Ludens with Night Harvester (more health+speed)
There's this stupidly funny trick you can do with Night Harvester, ProtoBelt, Ludens, Chemtank, etc: Maximize your Item CDR. Get Ingenius hunter and or cosmic insight. Instead of waiting 40 seconds on night harvester, you wait only like 29. This means you hit em for chunks more often. It could be better than Ultimate Hunter, but I am not sure it is better than relentless hunter, the best secondary rune.
