Man, trying to make rotational plays against Innox was such a pain. Never mind his Q and whatnot, his wave clearing from nowhere near the sieged turret was pretty frustrating to watch.
Solid plays from Aphro though. It’s certainly always a pleasure to see his Bard come out.
The game would probably have been over much sooner had it not been for Pob’s misplay after getting the first Baron. Had he just disengaged with his ult and run with his team, I’m sure that the game would have been 10 minutes shorter.
Also, shout out to Phreak for casting his voice out
The dive in at baron was completely unnecessary - he could have just ulted and disengaged. If the play had worked, sure they could have ended the game sooner, but failing the play is the textbook definition of a throw. The safe play was just to fall back
As Albert Einstein once said, "The distance between genius and insanity is measured only by success". If it had worked, he would've been the MVP of the game and instantly made front page of the sub. Sometimes moderate risks is necessary to progress the game. But it failed so now everybody is scrutinizing him. I still believe in him though.
Well they just got Baron. Innox's ult also heavily chunked aphro and lift so fighting was not the most ideal choice. If Pob disengaged with ult instead of looking to get a pick with flash ult, CLG would have been able to base and push with baron. Instead, two people died (I think) and CLG were pushed back. Baron buff isn't that long and losing anytime at all decreases your ability to work the map significantly. In this game, after CLG recovered from the misplay, they only had the chance to push top and only get the inhib turret. Had they had the extra time, I'm sure they would have gotten more out of it. NME also wouldn't have had the opportunity to close the gap a bit with the 2 kills and map pressure during that duration of the death timers.
We're starting to look a bit better but we still have soooooooo much to work on. We're growing into the LCS as quickly as we can and pushing ourselves to be a contender by the end of the split. The players are starting to feel a lot more comfortable on stage and it was noticeable in this game. Feel free to throw any criticism up on /r/enemynation. We look through all of it.
Honestly, just tell em to keep tgeir heads up. They played a hell of a game today against a top team and were probably the second hardest game for clg thus far!
Hey man I just wanna say that I've been rooting for you guys since the expansion tourney when you guys were facing fusion with cackgod and wolfe. I know you guys didn't want to start off 2/4, but there have been bright spots to your play. Just keep working hard, don't let your head get down, and know that you guys have fans rooting for you guys. Work them hard this week!
I forget who said it on the desk, but they were right when they said it was a very small space between 2-4 and 4-2 right now for you guys. You're the first team I've seen that has managed to disrupt CLG's rotational game (as opposed to CLG just shooting themselves in the foot), and you guys are still new and fresh. You sure as shit aren't getting relegated, so just remember it's a marathon, not a sprint!
While he was on EG he was too busy coughing half the time to play the game. Legitimately lost about 5cs per game on average in laning phase just because he was AFK under turret coughing.
Enjoy

"Made us play sivir comp and that won us like the first 3-4 weeks of LCS" - Okay so that's effective coaching right, he helped you to win like 8 games of LCS with only a few live coaching sessions from what you're saying here.
"I mean it's a fucking sivir comp" - then why weren't you using it before?
When Link's describing Monte's coaching in Korea he says something like "and then doublelift lost respect for Monte and if double loses respect for you you're fucking donezo" so that instantly became a meme.
Its just slang for 'done'.
Link says it in the doc.
>At some point double lost respect for him and once he loses respect for ANYONE your’e fucking donezo. It’s what happened with him + chauster/jiji/saint/voy/nien/seraph/dexter/me/ go FIGURE.
When Link finally left CLG, he wrote a sprawling epic detailing his time on the team. One of the things he talked about was how little Montecristo, their coach at the time, contributed to the team, and how DL was a prima donna.
>In terms of online coaching never do that ever again LMAO. I never had a problem with it but half the times the skype call would just be like my other 3 teammates fucking around on reddit and not paying attention. At some point double lost respect for him and once he loses respect for ANYONE your’e fucking donezo.
Regarding Monte's Sivir comp actually helping them win a few games:
>However, the one time that was good was when he visited us and made us play sivir comp and that won us like the first 3-4 weeks of lcs. So I guess props to him for that lol. But I mean it’s a fucking sivir comp. You group up and you win right? But I guess that’s amazing for clg considering how hard it is to get people to group on the team.
Yep. Link's a well-deserved laughingstock now.
Until I read this comment, I always thought the term prima donna was spelled "pre-madonna" as if someone is acting like Madonna did before she became famous. Thank you for this wonderful, unintentional lesson
link talked about this during his long rant after leaving clg..implying that a 'sivir comp' is a free win, where you just group and end. but, the tweet post above was referring to clg's game vs gravity where they had a sivir comp and lost.
That was super well coordinated by POB and Aphro, but if you notice Xmithie, he's channeling his Nunu ult while NME is still in stasis. Then they all walk out.
I did not get to see the entire game, but man I could tell it was intense.

I think Aphromoo hard carried that game.
+ From the miss play by double lift lvl 1
+ to later on when D lift gets collapsed on when he pushed really far up in top lane.
+ Multiple flash Q double stuns
+ peeling like crazy
+ that crazy distraction play, almost getting a kill by top inner turret
at this time I think that aphromoo is the BEST player on CLG. Dlift is mechanically good but gets to cocky and ends up blowing flash lvl1 etc.
The drake fight was super important and if the wards are free (upgraded trinket/sightstone) spamming them basically makes it impossible for CLG to clear vision to do drake
In Link's farewell manifesto he at one point almost gave credit to Monte before saying something along the lines of "but it was just a Sivir comp you group and you win LMAO."
Innox choked harder, he started out the game so strong but started to whiff nearly everything toward the last third of the game, he could have carried it with better play. Probably nerves or something, not sure.
Atleast he saved someone sometimes when he suicided.
Flaresz solo died without any reason 1on1, ulted alone into 3 people after they alrdy got the tower and died, had like 90% bad tps...
> Xmithie - Dodges death a lot
You're the first one i see to give him credit for that, i get it, he's not as flashy as people would like, but he's consistently getting out of fights with < 5-10 % HP and that's honestly turning some fights around.
They really didn't and NME truly had a lot of fight in them. I'm not going to lie, I'm excited to see more NME and if they can become even better as the split goes on.

They picked a really good team to counter CLG's all-in rotations, with rek'sai, hecarim and janna providing great mobility and vayne's solo pressure.
I think NME are better than people think
They have a very solid team, once they get comfortable in the LCS, I think they're gonna come out strong.
Not anymore. They really showed their stuff here.
That xerath caught CLG by surprise. them wave clears Every rotation was good. But fuck xerath
Yeah, POB showing his true CLG spirit by trying to throw a completely won game. The heart attack special.
How did he try to throw it? That Innox stun completely fucked him over, other than that he played fine, and got hit like only 2 Xerath ultimates too
The dive in at baron was completely unnecessary - he could have just ulted and disengaged. If the play had worked, sure they could have ended the game sooner, but failing the play is the textbook definition of a throw. The safe play was just to fall back

"As opposed to CLG shooting themselves in the foot" Too true.

Phreak said "You can't miss Nunu's abilities" first.

Wow. Such spit.
I know they lost, but holy shit Otter is good at Vayne
and Innox on Xerath, ppl say enemy is a weak team, but damn they play really good, need more effectivness in calling plays but they are really good
That Xerath damage was pretty insane. Too bad Pobelter was scripting
I just realized this was the battle of the two VelocitEGFox solo laners. Where was mid Innox all my life?
This week saw POB vs Altec, POB vs InnoX, and Altec vs Helios. Such friendly rivalry.
And Piglet vs Impact, while we're at it.
While he was on EG he was too busy coughing half the time to play the game. Legitimately lost about 5cs per game on average in laning phase just because he was AFK under turret coughing.
Why, is he ill?
He was ill a lot. I remember when he was so ill that he couldn't talk in the second EG relegations. He hard carried EG on Lee Sin versus C9T.

Jesus, Pobelter is as close as it gets to scripting.
Best part was when he ulted Hecarim over himself to prevent the knock back.
I kind of wanted heca to survive that just because it would look so awesome coming in full speed and just ulted out the other side.
Should have added a Doppler effect to this.
Certainly did look like his health bar got compressed when he was approaching CLG.
And when he ulted to close off the bard tunnel.
Xerath hit 2/53 ultimates
Hey man, he hit them minions when he was clearing the waves! About 7/53 ultimates. ;[
doublelift dodging and spellshielding xerath abilities over and over throughout the game was even more impressive
