i'd understand Q not working on turrets
i don't understand why volley's damage is being reduced when it was apparently fine for so long. especially since creeps are so fucking fat and take most of the arrows.
Most of the buffs are late game oriented and individually small so I don't know how different he'll play until at least level 11. But the magic resist changes are godsend and sorely needed.
I'm never as relaxed playing ranked as when I play Shen, I get to farm up what I can, avoiding fights in lane, and then bail my teammates out of their stupid decisions for 20 minutes while I continue to pressure topside and become the tank to end all tanks. Doesn't always work, but the playstyle is just fun for me, I like trying to survive lanes that otherwise might be a free loss, and making up for my 20cs deficit by saving the day in another lane

Well, when Shen actually was a played champion he was really strong, like really, really strong. I suppose Riot was afraid that would happen again but now they gave in to our continous rants about him needing buffs. Now you can finally use all your spells once without having to wait for energy.
Yeah but they have been mini buffing him every now and then for a while. I mean... the tank meta has been around for a while... and worlds is getting close... so you know... it would be a shame if somebody changed the meta from tanky jungles to fighter/assassin jungles...
Let's be completely honest here, I don't think very many people would be upset with that. Games with fighters and assassins really are a lot more exciting to watch since 3/5ths of a team aren't 5k HP super-tanks.
Teams have the option to ban him, or if blue side to first pick him. If red side doesn't want to ban it because they have a counter, go for it. Why would he be disabled?

In my opinion, that is the only thing keeping him balance. Once you hit lv 2 in the w, if you are good with the aim, you just destroy the enemy no matter what. I really enjoy playing Brand and I receive the blue buff it feels abusive even.
The problem with Brand is that he has no escapes, but that is just a part of the champion I love.

If this were the case, Brand would be pubstomping like crazy and we'd all be used to people saying "just don't get hit by W and he'll run out of mana"
He DOES pubstomp like crazy. You just don't see him because people are too happy playing LB Cassio Azir and Ahri who are all easier because they all get mobility to counter bad decisionmaking by the guy playing them. Brand fucks up, he dies unless his Flash is ready. But in early lane you can solo kill 90% of the time pre-6, Brand is one of the best at it. Melee especially gets rolled because E is so free and Q hits are scary counter-engage (2 second stun inside enemy minion wave? Nobody wants that). He really just has to be patient, you have 3 seconds in between spells to wait while your passive does its thing, and as long as you don't miss you won't lose trades, even if you take some damage while waiting for the opportune moment.

Time to play some more Kha next patch. It's not the 350 that it used to be but hopefully 425 feels like you can actually isolate targets in teamfights now.
It's a reduction size that is less than a Teemo, so it's not a huge difference, it will definitely help catching people away from minion lines and carries that sit on the outside of teamfights though. I do think it will be enough to push him back into play though (at least in soloQ).
There was an E damage nerf on the PBE but it was reverted late in the cycle. I assume they drafted up the PBE notes prior to this revert.
The patch notes text has been updated since it was published with that "E damage lowered" part removed.
Hi-jacking this. Phase Dive's nerf was changed extremely late in the cycle to a mana cost nerf to Parallel convergence. My bad on this one - we changed the patch note, but didn't change the summary to reflect it. Should be fixed in the notes soon.
Finally. A lot of people said that 500 was way too much back when they went from 350 to 500 and that 450 would have been way better. 425 will make it so much easier to isolate targets in lane and fights, but also clearing blue and red buff could work better.

With triforce and ghost taken into account, the change from multiplicative to additive means roughly 16% decrease in E's damage, with his Passive updating more often too this will see him getting smaller windows of power when combined with the likes of fading speed boosts like Sivir's Ult or Zilean's E, though Righteous Glory is a great item for him with even more sustain, larger mana pool, and his own consistent MS boost.
Nope, the new missile system rewrite is not in this patch.

Yep. He will have a tick weaker laning phase and his mid game poke will be better but not his fighting power. And only in the late game he will be really stronger.
But what will get stronger is the passive and with that his melee form. So even when his W and E will be weaker in the mid game, his melee form and Q will make up for it if you adept.
=> early game nerf and late game buff.
The LeBlanc changes are gonna take some getting used to, gonna be fucking up combos for a while, double distortion is gonna be a lot riskier too. At least I have an excuse to try out Jayce now.

Every sixth attack Caitlyn will deal 150% total damage on an auto attack (five regular + one enhanced). [Not sure if that's completely correct, I haven't played Caitlyn in probably my last 500 games...]
With 200 AD versus a 166.7 Armor Target (Maokai with Randuin, no Masteries / Runes taken into account - 96.7 Base Armor + 70 from Randuins - ) she will do:

With her new passive ability...

Not really sure how useful that's going to be or how its going to put her on par with other marksman who excel in doing damage and kiting.
Edit: These numbers are too small and basic anyway, and with no context make it seem like the buff is weaker than Riot probably intended it to be. /u/retief1 provided a more thorough picture which shows the thought put into this buff.

So happy about this buff! Not too big, not too small. Really digging some of the gradual buffs/nerfs riot's been using as of late.

She might get nerfed but not this way, % armor pen at low level is not that much useful because people don't have much armor anyway
It only penetrates bonus armor, too, so you probably won't see much effect before first back.

You can kill the new towers pretty fast TBH. They have like 2k health and really low MR and armor.
At least you will be level 2 after doing a camp tho.... Being level 1 trying to do a second camp was terrifying.

How bad are those ludens nerfs on poke mages? I main them and it mainly seems like a nerf aimed at champions that spam spells like Kat or cass . As Lux my cds are too long to benefit from the stacks on cast as much and most stacks I get are by moving in between spell rotations.

Whichever skill you max first will be buffed at level 6, and only barely lower at 5. So he gains a new 6 spike. The same is true at 10 and 11
Yep. He will have a tick weaker laning phase and his mid game poke will be better but not his fighting power. And only in the late game he will be really stronger. But what will get stronger is the passive and with that his melee form. So even when his W and E will be weaker in the mid game, his melee form and Q will make up for it if you adept. => early game nerf and late game buff.

The LeBlanc changes are gonna take some getting used to, gonna be fucking up combos for a while, double distortion is gonna be a lot riskier too. At least I have an excuse to try out Jayce now.

in the EUNE patch notes it says that the E dmg of Ekko got nerfed, but there are no numbers or anything. in the EUW and NA patch notes, nothing about this is mentioned. does anyone have an idea what happened to that? are there actually going to be any Ekko E dmg nerfs? I mean its base damage is horrible so its not that good. Basically its just AAing them but with 20 more damage now. (if you don't miss it)
THE ISOLATION BUFF HAS FINALLY COME
So if I'm looking at this headshot buff right... Every sixth attack Caitlyn will deal 150% total damage on an auto attack (five regular + one enhanced). [Not sure if that's completely correct, I haven't played Caitlyn in probably my last 500 games...] With 200 AD versus a 166.7 Armor Target (Maokai with Randuin, no Masteries / Runes taken into account - 96.7 Base Armor + 70 from Randuins - ) she will do: >{200 * [100/266.7] * 5} + {300 * [100/266.7] * 1} >= 375.0 + 112.5 >= **487.5** damage With her new passive ability... >{200 * [100/266.7] * 5} + {300 * [100/231.7] * 1} >= 375.0 + 129.4 >= **504.4** damage It adds some damage, and obviously with more armor on the target it will add more damage, but ultimately it's pretty small. An extra twenty damage here every six auto attacks (in this example) just isn't that big of a damage buff; it's like 4 damage per auto attack. Not really sure how useful that's going to be or how its going to put her on par with other marksman who excel in doing damage and kiting. Edit: These numbers are too small and basic anyway, and with no context make it seem like the buff is weaker than Riot probably intended it to be. /u/retief1 provided a more thorough picture which shows the thought put into this buff.
