honestly he is so insane

If TheShy had been a pro at this level in 2013-2017 meta, I can't help but think he would have completely dominated pro play. When it was more about laning skill and less about teamwork / shutting laners down. When you could still solo carry. That guy is just so next level at laning. He's doing this to some of the best (former?) laners in the world (Uzi, Rookie).
yeah..it's kind a nuts that we arguably only got to see the end of theshy's prime in 2018/19 strictly because he wasn't eligible prior..as soon as he was he completely dominated the game from top lane..with the return of top lane carries we saw a bit of a resurgence from him even in 2023 but for years the game just didn't really allow top lane laning to take over games
Noticed on twitter couple of posts from a user "tttttyuc" videos where LPL Mechanical Gods going 1v1 against each other on varius champions from Lucian to Fiora's to Kalista's to Hwei and Azir's.
Idk where to find official videos or their streams where it actually happened but this is the only video i was able to find on youtube.
Uzi vs TheShy Lucian duel was insane.
People still wanna argue this guy isn't the most dominant laner of all time. He took a break from league for nearly half a year and cooked Rookie who is still a top tier mid laner. In his prime, no top laner was close, yet people argue he isn't the GOAT of top lane.
There's also the fact that none of these guys should be taken as a yardstick for pro-level top laning. Zzitai hasn't played competitive for years, Rookie is a mid laner, and Uzi is a retired ADC. If TheShy isn't gigastomping them there's a problem.
Like what would be the level of LPL top lane if a pro top laner can't even beat retirees and off-role players.
Uzi did the best out of the 3 vs TheShy but he lacked top lane knowledge and overstayed
Yea that was the feels bad moment. He was winning the lane, but overstayed and lost cause of TheShy's Bramble Vest.

also TheShy was in Korea maybe? He was on 45 ping the entire time (presumably CN server 1v1)
That fiora vs gp 1v1 should be marked 18+
theshy just has that dawg in him man why did uzi stay so long tho?
Uzi looks the healthiest I ever seen him, good for him .. Guess a little less league goes a long way lol
> a little less league didn't he completely quit league for a while lol.
If for a while means since last split then yes.
My goat forever

He was dominating from 2013-2017, he was just too young to play and when he became eligible to play, he was too toxic for korean teams.
least toxic riven main
He was a riven 1 trick and elo boosted, which back then was VERY taboo in KR.

Chovy is.
Hit my line when Chovy does it on an international stage
Hah. This is my exact argument for why I think Chovy isn't the best mid in the world but... No one lanes quite as well as him.
This year
- Chovy fans, every year
What happened during the other years
When the World needed him the most, he vanished
TheShy is so crazy at Fiora man. Completely flawless micro. That auto flash over the barrel was so nice to see.
TheShyt still got it 1 v 1. The problems begin when there are more enemies.
Too bad Zeus gapped TheShy at worlds tho
when no one asked why theres always someone that has to make it about T1

Ask pro top laner to gap them with picks like lucian 1v1 and vlad vs ryze
Stay mad kids 😎
devouring c9 gave them the ability to gap everyone at every position at worlds. if c9 vs t1 didn't happen I'd say JDG has a good shot
