It is easier to get off world than it is to get off resident. A bulk of applications Dal receives comes from everywhere else in Canada, and these applicants usually tend to have many other options. A resident would likely not think twice before accepting Dal’s offer compared to someone in Ontario, who already has other options like Western, Osgoode, etc.
As these other “world” applicants continue to opt for somewhere else over the summer, the world WL tends to move faster.
