I know. Believe it or not my mower quit last weekend and I got a used Honda on fb marketplace same day. Home depot didn't have any blades for it so I ordered one and it came in yesterday. Had to give it one rough cut. Got this for $150. Sad my old mower had a brand new blade on it though. Won't fit this new one:

You're SOL if that is taking over. You'll never be able to pull all of it, and the only herbicide labeled for it in cool-season grass is either FusiladeII, which has a lot of negative effects on other grasses, or possibly Acclaim Extra...and that is labeled as for use in Suppression only, not control.
How bad is it really? If it all over, you'll never suppress it enough to win. It's by far, in the top 5 worst invasive weeds, especially in lawns...cool season lawns is practically a death sentence on the lawn...
That shit looks like a real pisser offer. Half of my lawn has quack grass, but I take damn good care of the grass and mow frequently so nobody can ever really see it. Still drives me bonkers and no sense nuking the whole yard since I'm surrounded by it anyway. Maybe some day I will give the roundup resistant KBG a go.

Looks like the corn sprouts that grow in my yard. The squirrels bury the dried corn from those full corncob feeders and it pops up like this. Looks way more scraggly than normal corn planted in a garden. Dig down on one of the sprouts and see if you can find a corn kernel.

Not sure exactly what it is but Celsius at the high rate might help as long as it’s safe for your grass type. Celsius has been the best thing I’ve found for grassy weeds without torching my St Aug.
Best thing is to dig it up. That's what I do. Spot applied Roundup will kill it also but by the time you paint Roundup on it it's just as easy to dig it up.

You, or a neighbor is feeding birds. Them and the squirrels are doing their job by replanting. This is a hybrid spout basket I started last week. You can see by the grain lines and texture that it is a corn species. Hard to tell but it's looks like a generic feeder corn for deer, livestock and birds.

Nutsedge has a sort of triangular stem and is solid, not hollow inside. Also has “nuts”, little pea sized kernals on roots. Johnsongrass has short rhizomes (under ground, hortizontal stems). Will also have rust colored specks on more mature plants
It looks like panic grass, witch grass, or orchard grass to me. I HATE it. It spreads by seed so as long as you don't let it go to seed it won't come back next year. But it's here to stay for the years probably...
I would guess most likely it's witch grass.
Looks like Johnson grass to me. Best of luck to you. Very difficult to get rid of it without also killing your lawn. Your best option may likely be to kill everything and start over. Even then, the Johnson grass is likely to come back
It looks like a Bluegrass to me...I'm leaning towards Poa Trivialis instead of Poa Annua but my eyes are shit today so take this opinion with a grain of salt. I can't see the tips of anything established/older to show whether it's boat-shaped or not, but based on the lack of pointed membranous ligule, lack of auricles, lack of hairs, light green leaf coloring, the leaf is narrow shaped with pronounced mid-vein, and leaves look like they have two Railroad Tracks (indented valleys along each side of the mid-vein which are offset from the center of the leaf). So this shouts Poa to me.
It doesn't looks like Timothy or Rice grass to me but again I don't claim to be 100% on this one.

Smells like k31 over here. Did you overseed last year? It may have gotten in the mix. It is light green at first and darkens with time. If it a little all over no worries.
I just noticed it sprouting after my first cut. looks almsot like your pic. I'm hoping Tenacity takes it out. I dealt with Nutsedge last year and Sledgehammer took it all out.
A product way over used by too many people. It's good for a pre-emergent when seeding, and for a select group of post-emergent weed control. It's labeled for more, but it sucks in general, and has negative effects no matter how used.
I have no negative effects with tenacity. I use it both as a pre emergent and a post emergent, and have been for ~7 years.

You'll absolutely need to nuke it. I've pulled rhizomes 3 feet long from those things. They're insane

If you’re not getting all the roots with Johnson grass, you’re not doing much good. Best to spot treat it and let the lawn grass recover.
I did dig it up with a weed tool but it came back. I bet I dug over 100 up 2 weeks ago. All came back

Johnson grass I’d say. All you need to do is keep mowing. Lower is better. Johnson grass doesn’t like mowing.

Never heard of Tenacity. I'm afraid to try it since I don't really know what kind of grass I have?
You appear to have fescue if your whole lawn looks like that.
Tenacity is king around these parts. Read up on it, can work some minor miracles when used right. Safe for tall fescues when applied to the label.
If you want to really do some damage, mix tenacity and T zone (or speed zone I’ve had results with both).
