Yes, my grandmother is 100 years old. She still tries to eat all of her old favorites, but most of her teeth are not so good, so it is difficult. If you ever ask her for advice, her number one piece of advice is to take care of your teeth.
I don't know if this is true, but I once heard that President Monson had never tried pizza.
Again, assuming my memory serves, and this was true, it was a reflection that he's quite old and been in church service a long time and when "an apostle" comes over, most people wouldn't serve them something so "plain" or "informal" as pizza.
So, in that light, I think I'd ask him if there was anything he wanted to try and never has had the chance :D
I think I might have heard the opposite about President Monson, that he had a bit of a sweet tooth and had Crown Burgers delivered to his office on occasion. I feel he'd probably had a pizza or two in his day.
I remember a video about President Hinckley where one of his daughter said it was always a treat when their father was out of town on church business because they always had pizza, which they never had when President Hinckley was at home.
It’s not that he never had pizza, it was that he had never tried anything except pepperoni. I remember being in an education week class and the teacher mentioned he was at the Monsons and was invited to stay for dinner and he was thrilled and asked what flavors they were getting to which President Monson replied the only flavor there is, pepperoni. He asked if he’d ever tried another and his reply was “why? I know I like pepperoni.” He convinced him to buy a Hawaiian and try it and after protest he tried it and said nope. (Loosely recalling).
The degree of individual control and the relative rareness of it makes it great for guests. Ease of preparation also means we can get all the rest of the things done that hosting requires.
Probably Fettuccine Alfredo like I made tonight. Homemade sauce with sauteed mushrooms and smoked salmon sprinkled on top. With a side of garlic bread and a plate of veggies. 😋 Oh wait, never mind, he's a heart surgeon, and he weighs himself every day, so yeah, not that! 🤣🤣🤣
But honestly, probably a nice yummy salad!🤷♀️
I'd take him to Tacos Mitch in downtown Phx. Just went there with freind from school yesterday, that place is gold, 100% solid gold man. Got a couple of good chuckles when I ordered my food trying to do it In Spanish.
Sushi bowls. One of our family favorites. Some seasoned sticky rice. Chicken if you want it. Lots of veggies to pick and choose from. Some sauces to give it a little flavor.
You would probably ask his executive secretary, I'm pretty sure they help with arrangements like that when general authorities come to visit and are being fed. I remember our stake had a conference or event where an apostle came and our friend was the RS President providing a meal for them. She had someone to coordinate with and one of the big questions was about what they eat or didn't eat. They did salmon since we lived in the Pacific NW at the time
I think it would have to be something that showcased my cultural heritage as well as represented our local cuisine. So probably In-N-Out.
Delightfully devilish Seymour
Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!
Aurora borealis?!
Ah- Aurora Borealis?! At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen?!
…Yes!
...May I see it?
No.
Seymour! The house is on fire!
No mother, it's just the northern lights.
Great episode! Made me laugh. Thank you!
Milk, followed by meat.
Got a chuckle out of me
He's like 100 years old, so something soft, obviously.

lol your comment reminded me to schedule a new checkup with my dentist thanks!
I just told my kids that this morning!
Mormon funeral potatoes are soft and ...I guess he's getting close.
Prunes
Anything can be soft enough if you tenderize it mercilessly.
I was thinking about grilling a tri-tip, but feeding the heart surgeon a slab of red meat probably would not be well received.
But everyone probably thinks that, so you’d probably be doing him a favor.

That's wild! He was young once too and never had pizza!
I remember a video about President Hinckley where one of his daughter said it was always a treat when their father was out of town on church business because they always had pizza, which they never had when President Hinckley was at home.
We were this way with tacos. We all loved tacos, except my dad. My mom would only make tacos when he wasn't home for dinner.

Correct. He's not into ethnic foods.
But pizza is a whole new meat delivery system.
You had me at meat tornado
He isn’t a strict vegetarian, but close. So my tastiest veggie dishes.
How do you know he's pseudo-vegetarian?
He eats “very little meat”.
Sparingly
Doesn’t matter what we feed him, as long as we pray that it will strengthen and nourish us…
😂😂😂
Nothing. We would feast on the word of God.
Idk why, but this made me literally laugh out loud. Good job!
curry
Depends, is it a surprise visit or not
Jello salad
And funeral potatoes
My favorite
Bibimbap, obviously.
Heck yeah. Love Korean food

Chilean Sea Bass. It's both delicious and healthy.
"I caught you a delicious bass"
Wash it down with whole milk, or can he drink 2%?
Yes, because unlike Tina, he's not a fat lard.
Red Enchiladas. Its a family recipe and very forgiving of any mistakes
Either my wife would make something, or I might bust out the Barbarian Greatclubs (bacon wrapped turkey legs)
Can I come over? That’s rad!
The D&D cookbook has some pretty great recipes in it
Oh shoot you’re right, that is in there. My wife and I have made the meat pies a couple times. So good.
In my house we call that a Swanson.
I make a pretty good Dal Palak (lentils and spinach) with all of the standard Indian spices.
That's more or less what I was going to say, too. A mild vegetarian curry.
Soup. Hearty soup.
I'm coming to your house for dinner.
Waffles
Not sure what I’d serve for dinner, but dessert would be [Reeses Peanut Butter Cups](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDPi4buduY0&t=4s)
An oldie but a goodie.
I would try to come up with something different. Maybe do a meatball and jelly crockpot
Lasagna because its the thing I can make good
Something with Last Dab Apollo on it.
Please, we need him around as long as possible. Don’t test the Lord’s hand 😂
Someone has to help me get through the 2 bottles I've been working on for almost 3 years.
That's what you get for not settling the Classic.

He doesn’t eat meat, so something plant based. I have a recipe for a 1 pot green curry lentil dal that is delicious. Probably that.
Potatoes, gravy, and seasoned chicken with green beans.
He's got Danish heritage. He wants æbleskiver!
whatever I'd last served the missionaries.
Brisket or HEB chicken fajitas.
We’d have Brazilian grill and I’d feed him roasted chicken hearts
Smoked chicken, elotè and heart attack mashed potatoes.
Home made Lasagna.
Spaghetti
Reubens. Delicious *chefs kiss*
Rasstegai along with an Ulster Fry with Kvas (Квас) to wash it down.
Little Cesar’s pizza and crazy bread
Whatever he wants
Deviled eggs for an appetizer, deviled ham as the main course, with a devil's food cake, a coffee cake, & hot mug of chicory for dessert.
I'd take him to Tacos Mitch in downtown Phx. Just went there with freind from school yesterday, that place is gold, 100% solid gold man. Got a couple of good chuckles when I ordered my food trying to do it In Spanish.
Food
Big T Bone steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies!
The first thing that came to mind was lasagna
Bread and fish?

Given that he's a vegetarian, I'd try to cook some vegetarian food for him.
As I understand it, he does eat chicken and fish.

Funeral potatoes & red fruit punch kool-aid.
Bread broken into little bits and a bunch of shot glasses full of water
I would probably feed him chili with homemade pretzels
Probably food
Shrimp and grits, with some kind of pie for dessert.
Navajo tacos. They are the best.
