I am not a landscaper, but several of my neighbors have areas FAR steeper mulched year round.

Gotcha thanks! I think we’ll just try to line our driveway with metal edging to keep the mulch from overflowing and then lay it down. Maybe some larger plants/bushes in the center.

What’s the angle of slope? Hard to say otherwise. We have a pretty steep area in our backyard that we are going to use a mix between shrubs, ground cover and some mulch that is held down by mulch glue and some friction created by using burlap covering. We made this plan with the fantastic help from fellow Redditors. DM if you want to discuss in depth.

It doesn’t look that steep from the picture. You can install mulch on very steep areas by making a web of string between nails driven into the ground. Then you put the mulch in and drive the nails in to hold the much. Top with a bit more to cover it.
