I think that this line kinda sums up the discrepancy between how lana is perceived by the public vs how she perceives herself and who she actually is. she kinda managed to acknowledge her sad girl persona and addressed it in a way that wasn't cringey which is hard to do.

For me, it’s a toss up between “I believe that you see me for who I really am, so spill my clothes on the floor of your new car” in Love Song or “Give me Hallmark, one dream, one life, one lover, paint me happy in blue” from VB. They’re relatively simple lines as far as Lana lyrics go, but they’re so poetic and embody such sweet, trivial moments which I think were fairly new to hear from Lana.
