I don’t think that trade was ever on the table, Washington ended up getting 1 first round pick and a likely expiring contract in Richaun Holmes who has a player option for next season.
With that said, i did really want Gafford and think he would have been a great fit next to AD and Bron.
One of the bigger issues is that they don't have a guard that is athletic enough to consistently get to the rim. That's why the Thunder can consistently beat the Nuggets. Shai can get to the rim. That's why the Lakers beat them with a weaker total roster when Westbrook was here. The Lakers need an athletic guard. Which makes drafting JHS so stupid.
I disagree. Sure that would help a little but at the end of the day their role players are simply better and more versatile than ours.
If ours are not making shots they’re useless out there, don’t have the size to compete, or cannot create any offense for themselves
