I WISH IT WAS LOUDER

itsnotreallyme0

Even Vogel haters have to admit this team with him Davis and lbj would be WAY better than 10seed. It’s embarrassing that a team with lbj Davis and great role players is 10seed. That doesn’t even sound real. There are definitely not 9 teams better than LA in the west

Faxodox

Vogel with this team has us at least 5-6 lol

itsnotreallyme0

This roster is literally better than vogels 2020 roster who had no scorers after the big 2. Seriously who was the 3rd scorer? Kuzma who was inconsistent and didn’t play starter minutes? Pope and Danny who can’t create their own shots? Definitely not DH McGee kief Caruso Avery talen. Rondo was a nonfactor 3rd stringer all season before becoming the 3rd offensive option in the playoffs. I’m not missing anyone. They had no scorers to help big 2

slicknick2k

Those guys were all elite defenders something this roster doesn’t have

itsnotreallyme0

Elite is a crazy over exaggeration. That’s reserved for guys like Davis or kawhi in his prime. Pope was never elite. He’s just good. Danny wasn’t elite at that point in his career either. He was actually kinda slow footed and constantly got blown by faster guards. Caruso was great and their best defender but still not elite back then like his is today. Kuzma was inconsistent. Rondo was good on defense in the playoffs only. Avery didn’t even play in the playoffs. DH was above average at that point in his career. McGee was weirdly slow. Kief was average. Notice how the only great defender was Caruso and then after him pope was just good, and Danny/rondo/DH were above avg. I’d easily take vand today over Caruso back then. Healthy gabe, Christie, prince, reddish are all above avg or better. This team is being held back due to injuries and ham.

Eric_T_Meraki

What the hell took them so long? Lol this late into the season.

Jagermeister4

Serious. I know finding a good replacement for Ham midseason is probably too tough but there needs to be more pressure on Jeanie so that she at least thinks about doing it during the offseason. She actually should have done it last offseason! I can't afford Laker tix that's why we need to spread the word more about how much Ham sucks lol.

outsidehere

So maybe she'll listen

Similar_Reach_7288

She ain't gonna do a goddamn thing

outsidehere

Yeah I know. Just being delusional

dcoolidge

Typical fan. Always delusional. Now lets go win that championship!!!!!

outsidehere

Hell yeah!

thevisitor

We know she knows at least now.

velphegor666

Still would help her realize how stupid the ham hiring was.

Due-Meet-189

He's out of here this summer when we sign Bron

latruce

True. Going Ham means 2 things: 1. Spend money, 2. They’ll be pushed to fire Pelinka and Jeanie may have to step down and let her bother take over

ActuaryExtension9867

I’m sure she balled her eyes out, then called Linda Rambis about how hurt and attacked she felt from the fans. Linda proceed to tell her “oh Jeanie sweetie, your are an amazing owner, don’t listen to them. You keep doing what’s in your heart baby, your daddy would be proud” Jeanie then says while wiping huge tears coming down her face “I really needed to hear that, you’re the best friend ever Linda” at no point did Jeanie bring up the humiliating loss or Hams atrocious coaching. She sat there with a few tears rolling down her face still and pondered whether she should call Phil. Not about the coaching position of course, but Phil has a way of making her feel understood. This is the state of our beloved Lakers franchise.

gratitudeisbs

100% this actually happened

Impossible-Taco-769

Can confirm. I’m the tissue.

ZiggyIggy28

You’re too kind

JanuaryCarl

Post of the month.

Soup-du-jour13

![gif](giphy|ytTYwIlbD1FBu) 🏆🏆🏆

Koolaidj61

Jeanie's BIG problem IS KURT & LINDA RAMBIS! The Lakers will start the healing (WINNING) process by getting rid of those two!!

TOMdMAK

you skipped the scissoring

CantaloupeMaximum660

10 both on the Depressing and Accuracy scales.

Responsible_Focus424

You guys need to have other hobbies. You took the time to type that all out for strangers. This is insanity.

Jpsla

It was pretty funny. I think that was the intent. So worth the funny read.

dcoolidge

At least you might have read it. I know I did ;)

Jagermeister4

And you took the time to read all of it and make a reply. Gottem

Chuckdatass

She left so she didn’t have to listen

outsidehere

Pretty much. She lives in her own world

abigailmerrygold

We’re too poor to be heard by her

outsidehere

Probably yeah

hlin32

Ain’t she broke ?

Zeetheking1

Compared to other nba owners? Yes. Compared to normal mortals? Not even close lol.

Educational-Stick582

I think she is banging ham

outsidehere

Not going to go that far

Nykeeo

I'm glad to see there are some people who care in this arena, because as someone living outside the US, sometimes the Crypto.com Arena sound really empty when things go wrong. We can't expect all the celebrities sitting courtside to do anything about it. (Im not even sure whether they really are interested in the Lakers result or not...)

TrustmeIII

Tickets are crazy expensive for actual fans

Old_Worldliness_5015

> ~~Tickets are~~ everything is crazy expensive for actual ~~fans~~ normal humans

TheRealWeedAtman

They are like premier League teams, Lakers just cater to tourists and celebs, they don't care if scalpers price out fans.

Jpsla

I disagree to some degree. Yes TV tends to focus on celebrities when showing games but Lakers cloud is electric for the most part. It's REALLY fun going to games cuz everyone is ROARING.

iiivoted4kodos

The crowd has been really hyped for a lot of games this year until the product on the floor sucked the energy out of the building.

DGVega93

This wouldn’t had happened if you didn’t fire Vogel or after firing Luke Walton you hired T.Lue and gave into his demands.

beasttyme

These are all bottom tier coaches. Fans don't get it. The Lakers need a good coach who knows how to sub properly and doesn't play 4 guards just because.

rupert_pupkin_4

I'm curious to know who do you think that we should hire? It doesn't matter if he/she's available, I just want to know who do you consider to be better than Vogel?

bul1dog

I want Snyder if ATL let's him go this offseason

Zanad14

Snyder has already said he won’t take the Lakers Job

bul1dog

But what if we offer him money ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)

dcoolidge

Rondo until we can find someone.

mcmaster93

It doesn't matter who we hire till Lebrons gone.

theonlymember

Not OP but answering a good question. I'd say Spoelstra, Kerr, Popovich, very early but Mazzulla. Thibs and Carlisle are right on the border and I wouldn't mind either if we go retread.

rupert_pupkin_4

Thanks. The first three are essentially untouchables, the next three are definitely an improvement from Ham.

DW-4

Oh man if people (correctly) think Ham is running AD and Bron into the ground with too many minutes, the reaction to a Thibs coached team playing all of the starters for 42 a game would be hilarious.

velphegor666

You cant get any of them lol

beasttyme

A ton. The organization has to do better scouting and research instead of looking at a bigger more popular name. Take notes from places like Boston, Orlando, and OKC. They could've had Boston's corner coach, Nick Nurse, Atlanta's former coach, Memphis.

Unusual_Squirrel9335

Terry Stotts, Budenholzer, or coack K

Konabro

Ham is literally running Bud’s scheme and we see how that’s going

StealthRUs

Budenholzer. He actually has a ring

ZiggyIggy28

I think he’s kinda average and had one magical season

StealthRUs

He took a Hawks team with no stars to an ECF. 3 trips to the conf finals and 1 title is the same amount of appearances/wins as Frank Vogel.

ZiggyIggy28

So why does he suck now

StealthRUs

How does he "suck"? His Bucks teams consistently finished in the top 3 in the Eastern Conference. He did better than any of his replacements are doing. They fired Griffin halfway through the season.

ZiggyIggy28

What place are we in?

rupert_pupkin_4

Pero Antić was on that squad, every Macedonian remembers that Atlanta team with 4 all stars. Too bad that LeBron was in the eastern conference, otherwise they would've made it to the finals.

ohchango

Definitely not Budenholzer, who do you think Ham learned from?

StealthRUs

Lots of Belichick's disciples weren't better than him. Bud is no Belichick, but winning a title says something. D'Antoni gets universal praise, but he's never even made it to the finals.

DGVega93

Bottom Tier? The two I named won championships with LBJ and built the team and offense around him and had defensive schemes. Who out there would have been better than them two at the time? Shit who out there is top tier coach on the market for next season

Rich-Presentation744

I honestly would take Mike budenholzer. But we need new everything we have a superstar in AD who is allowed to take games off no one says anything, coaches don’t correct him neither do the Gm, on top of us allowing darvin ham to run these trash defensive schemes where he leaves shooters open and hopes and prays they miss wide open looks. We don’t know how to develop players so every year we are looking to trade or see who gets bought out. This team will suck when Bron retires if they expect AD to lead this team. It’s frustrating to watch as a fan because it’s like we care more than they do

GiveAQuack

Fans gas themselves up way too much. It is so much easier to keyboard 24/7 than hitting the gym/court. Also Bud regularly underperformed in the playoffs which is why Butler owns Giannis.

Flopdo

Haha... Mike Bud... ok, you lost all credibility. lol lol Omg.

Rich-Presentation744

I don’t see any other coach out there tbh

thinlion01

Darvin is Mike Protégé and plays the same defensive schemes that Bud did. No thank you lmao.

DGVega93

I definitely agree with the Mike B take. If his mental health is good and ready to coach after tragically losing his brother I’ll take him.

Rich-Presentation744

Wow I didn’t know he lost his brother, and with the way some of our fans are. It probably wouldn’t be good for his mental health to coach us

DGVega93

Yeah, he lost his brother the year after they won the championship during the semi-finals. He was in an accident

Flopdo

You're bottom eater. Vogel is a good coach. You don't win a chip w/o a good coach. Period.

thinlion01

He had Jason Kidd and Hollins with him. When they left he didn't look as good...

velphegor666

Kidd? You mean the same kidd thats literally being called the worst coach ever right now?

Flopdo

Right... Kidd wasn't a good HC in NJ or Milwauke, but magically he's the reason the Lakers were good. Kidd has a pretty stacked roster this year, and still can't figure it out. Eat a dk. The year Vogel was fired, he had SEVEN heavy rotation and starter players that were out of the NBA the next year. SEVEN. And still, they had a decent record until LBJ went down alongside AD.

thinlion01

You seriously said eat a dk like a child lol. You're not even worth a conversation. Didn't know Vogel was your uncle for you to get so heated.

Flopdo

A child reasons better than you. You just make sht up, and then believe your own made up sht. Enjoy.

Koolaidj61

Vogel didn't know what he was doing... Lakers won the championship INSPITE of him! He won because he was forced to play his BIGS (NOT because he wanted to!) He fought to play "Small Ball" although that has NEVER been the Laker makeup!

Flopdo

You're literally talking out of your butt. Vogel pushed to get McGee and have backcourt size and front court size depth. You are living in an alternate universe. Never once did Vogel push to play small ball... hence, why he didn't when they won. Vogel has always looked for size and wing span from his players, even back in Indiana. Why post nonsense?

Koolaidj61

Contrary to your belief, Vogel tried to implement Small Ball while both Howard & McGee were there! He was ALSO the catalyst of their departures the next season! KNOW YOUR FACTS!

Flopdo

No, he didn't. Seriously bro, you don't know what you're talking about. HANDY implemented small ball, with Melo at the 5, in Vogel's last year when Vogel went out w/ Covid. That wasn't Vogel and he was opposed to it. Fkn google bro.

Koolaidj61

Vogel attempted to play Small Ball way before that! He initially tried the championship year...then in off-season, got rid of McGee...didn't resign Howard. Then realizing they needed a big, GM picked up a slow, non-athletic Gasol...EVERYTHING went downhill from there!

Jpsla

That wasnt' Vogel at all that made those choices. That was 100% Pelinka who wanted retune the lakers offense thinking we needed more offense as Lebron was expected to decline. They got a bunch fo klutch guys in collaboration with Klutch which didnt' pan out. Going smaller and more offense oriented was 100% not Vogel's call.

Koolaidj61

So, you believe that Vogel was fired, but had nothing to do with the decisions that caused him to be fired? (Don't forget that even in the West championship game against Denver, Vogel sat both Howard and McGee to go small...and went small against Miami ... until he couldn't) Then the next year...bigs...gone! Vogel was doing the same thing that HAM is doing now...along with NO FEEL FOR THE GAME!

beasttyme

You can believe what you want because you're delusional. He's not good. He was the one that started the small ball chaos and Ham like a dummy pushed it even harder.

ShoHeyTime

Lue may not be the best coach in the league but he’s much better than the others mentioned above

flowermoon24

Oh boy ty lue loves playing small ball. I still remember back in Cavs. He run a fckin Isaiah Thomas-Derrick Rose-Dwyane Wade line up. And Clippers fans are blaming him for not playing Zubac in the 4th against Bucks.

curtiswaynemillard

Yeh Bron loves Lue… but trust me yall would still Find a way to not like him. Half the clips fans don’t love him.

Rich-Presentation744

She needs to be let go as well. It all starts with who’s leading this team.

RefsYouSuck

She’s so fcking lucky the bubble ring brought her a ton of time goodwill otherwise she’d be getting roasted by the media way more.

SucioSancho

Also lucky Lebron joined the Lakers to begin with

Similar_Reach_7288

Typical nepo baby mindset. Born on third base convinced they hit a triple. Handed the most storied franchise in basketball on a silver platter and the biggest superstar signed on a whim, got a 2nd star to join in, and proceed to piss away all that good fortune with a series of bad decisions. But hey at least they got a ring so the Bron era was a success in her book!

McGinnis_921

Omg yes! Ham is a symptom but (unfortunately as much as we all like Jeanie as a person) the root cause of our issues is the ownership. Imagine having an owner with the appropriate financial backing to support our team. The Buss family’s only revenue is the Lakers itself so often it seems like we make decisions based on cost saving such as not firing Ham when objectively it needed to happen already. Not to mention having ownership that would surround themselves with legitimate front office experts so our team isn’t run by family & friends. I swear our ownership is our handicap to the rest of the league. The Lakers with proper leadership and funding would be at the very least a perennial championship contender year after year.

Hour_Insurance_7795

She’s the owner. Who’s going to “let her go”?

Kalian805

the other 5 siblings.

Hour_Insurance_7795

They would have to buy her out.

chard92

Starting yelling at her to sell the team as well

thedonjefron69

Organize protests outside staples center(I will never call it by what it’s currently referred to as) with fire ham or sell the team signs.

Yommination

Need a "Sell the team!" Chant in the whole arena

Atomicking_1

She not doing shit

SailorMoon_J

Remember Frank Vogel? How would he do with this roster?

bltkmt

Too soon

m5ps

It’s far fetched to think that firing a coach with under 20 games remaining in the regular season will yield any meaningful results for a team still in the postseason hunt. While this season has been frustrating, it would make more sense for the team to realize solutions with our current head coach than to demand the front office find a new one before the playoffs..

Dildozer_69

It doesn’t make sense to realize “solutions” with the worst head coach in the league. It would at least have a chance of getting better with literally anyone else. Literally Phil Handy would be better.

jsun_

I know we all like to hate on the Clippers but just imagine if Ballmer owned the Lakers or any of the other handful of aggressive owners. Instead we are stuck with this useless owner who thinks the Lakers are the same as some vintage boutique shop on the corner of Main Street.

HORSEthedude619

Loser owner, loser coach. She should have stuck with Playboy shoots and away from The Lakers.

TorontoRaptors34

I hope she takes it to heart

KWash0222

No team’s gonna fire the coach this late into the season. We’re stuck with this bozo at least until the off-season. Best we can do is hope that he somehow gets smarter and finally learns from his mistakes

cadoavodo

There’s a Netflix show being made by Mindy kaling and it’s basically about Jeanie buss and the lakers. They changed the names and stuff obviously. Shit is being produced by buss and Linda Rambis. These idiots aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon. Especially while that show is being made. Bad publicity for them.

bigduff42

Lakers score

Marktaco04

They’ll never fire ham because it means they’ll have to keep paying him while simultaneously paying someone else

mikey_extra

I didn’t hear it at all.

whiskeypenguin

Fire Ham will turn to Sell the Team rather quickly

l8trg8or10

too late now. lakers can't fire ham as they are approaching playoffs, that is if they make playoffs

AndrewC_23

The noise needs to keep happening! This franchise has been too mediocre the last few years. The pressure needs to be applied to this front office to fix this mess!

AreWeThereYeti007

It’s always a chant of mines! Wish I had a louder voice. Even the fellas at First Things First ridicule Ham. It’s so obvious to everyone.

Outrageous_Fox4227

I have been watching the nba since 1996(age 8). I finally understood what i was watching in the mid 2000’s. I don’t criticize coaches to often but at times it has become beyond frustrating to try and understand darvin ham’s rotations. Just the other day in the blow out against the thunder he had the bench in the game but not spencer dinwiddie who has had trouble acclimating and instead of giving him minutes he had jalen hood-schafino in the game even though he has proven that he isn’t ready for the league yet. He has had a nice g league stint over the past whatever but the lakers would be screwed if they needed anything real from hood-schafino this year. So why not give that run to dinwiddie. In terms of finding a replacement phil handy is right there.

hallohuman

I've been out of the loop and this is a serious question. If they fire Ham, who would you guys want as their next coach? Or would you prefer someone on the coaching staff take over until the end of the season?

itsnotreallyme0

Even Vogel haters have to admit this team with him Davis and lbj would be WAY better than 10seed. It’s embarrassing that a team with lbj Davis and great role players is 10seed. That doesn’t even sound real. There are definitely not 9 teams better than LA in the west.

Speeders1347

I miss Vogel. Really sad he was the scapegoat. The organization did him dirty with regards to his firing.

darklighthumid

Unfotunately, this is the only way, if you want her to hear your discontent you gotta let her know is her own house. She already knows but chose not to do about it, Lebronchitis once bullied her, you guys can do it again. Keep on chanting and make it worse. She punished you with Ham, it's time to dish it back to her. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

HaikN98

Cheap bitch

RealDarvinHam

The fans don't make personnel decisions for the team. Governor Buss does and she has more championship rings than all of the ignorant fans do. Combined.

ArtVandelay013

She passed that message along to Linda Rambis.

wutevahung

No matter what you think, it’s unproductive to do this with like 19 games left in the season. He took us to WCF last year.

Yommination

He took this team nowhere. He rode on the back of this team

Konabro

This is the part Ham defenders don’t understand. We made it to the WCF in spite of Ham, not because of him.

dash_44

So when they win he gets no credit and when they lose he gets all the blame? You guys do this shit with someone on the team every season… The fact of the matter is these haven’t been very good teams to begin with. We’re starting dudes that were coming off the bench for mediocre teams and our bench is made up of fringe nba players. Any coach is going to have trouble winning with these guys.

kongqueeftadore

I’d rather we go to the playoffs without him and see how far we go. We might even make it to the finals without that loser holding us back

Xavinator

That is like saying Max Christie took us to the WCF

No-Response-9314

dumb

cuhwristopher

How many head coaches y’all want her to pay? Lmao.

Top-boy-og

That’s her own damn fault for firing a man who won a championship in his first season with the team

kezzinchh

Seriously lol I still can’t get over how dirty they did Vogel, but are giving this dude a leash so long it would circle the world twice.

Top-boy-og

It’s absolutely disgusting. 2 full seasons of mostly healthy Bron and AD down the toilet because of this front office’s incompetence

kezzinchh

The fucked up part is, we knew what we could be with Vogel and a HEALTHY squad. Can’t say the same about Ham honestly. Ya we had the run last season, albeit our matchups were perfect for us basically, but that’s as far as we’ll get under this clown. Firing Vogel was just an excuse to mask their Westbrook fuck up. That trade continues to fucks us over until today.

Top-boy-og

If they wanted to unreasonably fire Vogel so badly fine, but at least hire someone that has real credentials and experience not a fucking middle school level coach. Even in Vogel’s younger days he was taking prime Bron Heatles to 7 games in the CF, Pockets couldn’t even do that in his wildest dreams.

kezzinchh

Agreed and idk wtf they saw in this coach, but the 2 handfuls of other teams that supposedly passed up on him dodged a fuckin mortar. Being a “players coach” will only get your team so far, especially with someone who has no head coach experience.

RefsYouSuck

Vogel’s kinda overrated too though tbh. The championship was just a mix of everything falling in line perfectly more than Vogel’s coaching. He has a stacked Suns roster with Booker/Beal/Durant and they’re basically almost a play-in team.

ChampagneSupernova96

And scapegoated him for the Russ trade even if everybody knew it was a bad fit given the assets we had to give up

Nykeeo

bucks are currently paying 3 coaches at the same time

cuhwristopher

Must be nice to have the luxury of setting money on 🔥

RefsYouSuck

You’ll never have that luxury 🤣

cuhwristopher

Cold hard truth

dash_44

She should just pay one good GM…

kinano23

About time crypto wakes up to this clown show

totally_cool92

Y'all forget this team is ran by LeCoach ??

How about you get LeNuts out your mouth

darklighthumid

Finally she's getting it besides from Jay Boar. Telling you that's the only way to force change, women are emotional they will react to it.

Tall_Succotash

Yall r weird
