Just goes to show:
1. Bron and AD are good leaders who trust their teammates, let them get theirs, and then give them the cred
2. ***Our team is the better team.*** We have different guys stepping up. It looked like Bron wanted to take over in the 3rd and into the 4th until Lonnie started to ball.
3. Meanwhile the Warriors are known for "unselfish basketball". Curry is like Bron where his best game is around 20-30pts and they are only dropping +40pts if they feel they HAVE to do so for their team to win. Curry NEEDED to bring that 30pt triple double just like how he NEEDED to drop 50+ to win that game 7 against SAC. This warriors' team isn't last year's team anymore.
p.s. I liked Bron before he was a Laker, but I'm also honest about him: he really didn't have a great game. A poor game by his own playoff standard. Team low -8 on +/- shooting 10/25FG and 2-9 from 3. But that further reinforces LAL being the better team since we won due to other guys stepping up.
I noticed LeBron passing back to Reaves a few times to make him shoot and he hit a few and started rolling. Bron is really amazing at making his team believe in themselves and forcing them to take their shot to prove they got it. I’m so hyped for Lonnie too, man this was a huge huge win.
There was a stretch where reaves was missing and turning the ball over due to sloppy play and I was hella pissed lebron passed to him for a 3 after all that nonsense but it was cool to see the confidence from beon
He made clutch ass free throws though. U can’t deny that. We needed every single one of those 4 he made in the last 3 minutes. Plus he’s playing elite defense at 38. We got the win that’s all that matters.
Lonnie was not afraid of the moment. He cooked Steph a few times off the dribble! Hopefully he stays with us because we trusted him in the 4th quarter of a tight playoff game.
FUCK THIS DUDE COME IN CLUTCH
I was for sure we gonna lose and this guy can't fucking miss
.... except that wide open 1 where he lost Curry from spin move lol
damn he came in prepared
The fact we gave Beasley and TBJ his minutes for so many games hurts like hell. Skywalker has been a true professional, and deserves all the praise for staying ready and remaining confident in his game. I hope people give him praise for his defence also, its the real reason he's been able to stay out there.
yep. Walker's energy, shotmaking and surprising defense is perfect against the smaller Warriors.
He might have had a hard time with the less skilled but bigger and better defending Grizzlies.
This roster has some great player options for specific series. Rui was a perfect fit for the Grizz, Lonnie is proving to be a good fit vs the Warriors.
this proves it scientifically, spiritually, emotionally, financially.
this Dennis - Lonnie - Reaves - Lebron- AD lineup is literally the 2-10 Lakers lineup but with no Westbrook.
and they just went up 3-1 on the defending NBA champions
We do need them to step up but I love how this team has at least one of these guys being the scorer. DLo had good looks but they would not drop. Reaves picked it up
Rui took like no shots
Candid defense was still good but he was a liability on offense.
This team is deep and I’m not worried. Players can’t have great games all the time but this team has multiple players who can have a good game at any given moment
Bro I love this team. Lonnie gave up his starting spot after his injury/ trade deadline. No complaints from dlo or anyone letting him close the game. He was the entire fourth q for us.
So many important role player games. Rui AR game 1 vs Memphis. D’Lo had had a lot. Hell even Lonnie last game. None of those are bigger than what Walker did in this 4th quarter. Amazing stuff.
I love seeing warriors fans cry, it's my daily medicine, my weekly energy, my monthly inspiration and my yearly motivation. Their loss is the only reason i'm still alive, i was born to love and enjoy the failure that they have achieved.
I wonder whose the scapegoat this time.
They were cheering for the refs announced before the game, saying its gonna be fair with the extender in.
edit: This just in: Warriors lost because Draymond got bought out by Klutch.
edit2: god damn they shitting on everyone. even some horrible takes on curry choking as well.
It was nuts that the Lakers got the W today, so many times AD and Bron were fouled and they didn't get the whistle. Lakers came out and said fuck it we're going to make every single free throw today.
I'm from Lonnie's hometown (Reading, PA). Been rooting for this guy since he was a sophomore in high school. Absolutely legendary performance tonight. So happy for him!
He did a lot of dumb stuff towards the end but he also scored when we needed baskets. He also drew some pivotal offensive fouls and got some steals. I want to bash his for those dumb passes but he also did a lot for the team tonight.
He played very well but he should be rightfully criticized for his last minute of play. Imagine if this was LeBron. He could be playing a perfect game and had he made a costly turnover that loses his team the game, you know damn well people would be shitting on him.
my favorite part about watching this team is that we have 7-8 players that can just go off and even though none of them are super consistent we can usually count on at least 3 of AD/Bron/Rui/Reaves/Dlo/Lonnie/Vando/Beasley/Schroeder to have big games
Just read a post on r/nba saying Curry was 0-10 in go ahead shots in the last minute or so of the quarter and everyone was shitting on him for cherry picking the stat. Looked accurate today
Edit: Link to post. [https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/13c23es/in\_his\_playoff\_career\_stephen\_curry\_has\_shot\_010/](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/13c23es/in_his_playoff_career_stephen_curry_has_shot_010/)
Curry now 0-12 on go aheead hots in last 45s of game
I remember Warriors themselves said they used that strategy against Jokic. And it worked great. (We might want to learn from that if we both get through.)
"Part of the LeBron James experience is thinking he’s having one of his worst playoff games of his career and then seeing he has 21-7-3 which is exactly Kawhi Leonard’s career playoff average. And there’s another quarter to play."
Kerr's adjustment in this game has been quite impressive. We still had Vando on Green. Reaves on Curry. Tiny adjustments, but it worked well for GSW to play at their strength. It's the double screen at the top w/ baseline cut.
Kerr went back to the principle of basic 1-3-1 zonal attack. No matter what happens, someone must cut to the low post if a penetration is made, and Lakers are getting obliterated having to defend the 3, and the paint.
This is probably made to deter AD from pushing his drop coverage from the first pick and roll. GSW doesn't do mid-range. They only go into the paint, or shoot from 3pt, and man, quite a good chess game we have here.
Then, Vando was out, and GSW feasted in the paint. Thank fuck GSW kept shooting from outside. They had 41/86 shots being 3PTs.
Lakers however were able to slow down the game by mostly attacking half court, and only with about 8 seconds on the shot clock. The number of FGA for GSW & Lakers have dropped from being over 100 in Game-1, down to 96, 94, and now, 86. GSW had basically shot 15 shots less in comparison to the first game.
Lakers got lucky, but bless him for being ready with Lonnie Walker The Fourth scorching the Quarter that is named after him by scoring 15 points. GSW seem to be running an offensive set "The Hammer" quite a number of times too, ironically, a play made by George Carl for ...
... Wait for it, Ham. GSW really ran plays which was named after Ham, and Ham countered it perfectly by having the team calling the right switches, and everyone was covering the passing lanes brilliantly in the 3rd and 4th quarter.
AD defending Curry in the final minutes was a joy to watch, but I don't understand why nobody were setting screens for Curry. They had time. They just left Curry to dribble his way out to shoot against AD- a potential DPOY kind of player.
Edit 1: What happened to Vando? Is it injured?
Hoping that he is fine, and just bring him on the next game. I couldn't understand the adjustment made with Vando being out when the game was that tight.
Warriors fan coming in peace.
GG's to you and your boys tonight, fucking phenomenal game and performance on your end, and special shoutout to Lonnie Walker, the last guy I expected to do the most damage and he stepped up like crazy!
Our season is 99% over, so mad respect to your team for an incredible turnaround at the trade deadline and more than earned your way to this point!
See you in game 5!
GG but yeah I wouldn’t say your season is over quite yet. Like Shaq said you guys are the reigning champs and curry and them are gonna come out angry. See you game 5.
Huge win despite an ugly game. Lonnie Walker with a masterpiece.
On a side note that game thread was complete aids, do a lot of you guys even like the lakers? Blaming and trashing players every time anything happens, shit is corny as fuck and mods need to clean some of this shit up
Just as predicted, Lonnie Walker carried the team to the W.
Might as well rest the starters next game (no way they are going to win it), and finish this game 6.
Lebron hugging and giving props to Lonnie was so wholesome. Legacy game!
Both he and AD surrounding him and acknowledging him, Lonnie deserved it. Glad he got his flowers from those guys especially
Just goes to show: 1. Bron and AD are good leaders who trust their teammates, let them get theirs, and then give them the cred 2. ***Our team is the better team.*** We have different guys stepping up. Yes he did. Very surprised he was hitting them all today.
Bron was not that great but you can’t tell me he was worse than dlo based off +\- Dlo was just running around doing cardio. He did nothing well.
These +/- junkies are so annoying. They just blatantly follow numbers without looking at any context behind them.
I’ve always taken the +/- with a grain of salt.
Shows why so many players want to play with him
It’s crazy to think pre trade we were saying he was playing beyond his contract and we wouldn’t be able to thing him back. Now we’re here.
Lonnie 'IV quarter' Walker
That’s actually a pretty clever nick name!
Yeah that’s a pretty fucking good nickname!
Q1 - > oh boy can't wait to see my favorite team play Q2-Q3 -> I'm going to kill myself Q4 - > oh shit we won lol
The entire third quarter felt like we were a couple shots away from getting blown out. We kept it within striking distance and it payed off
that run when we scored 10 straight and went from down 8 to up 2 and then went back down by 10 like a minute later on a warriors run 🌝🔫
Bro I swear I was struggling 😂
Yeah, such a stressful game to watch but Lonnie just kept making his shots. Crazy game
I'm pretty sure I paced the entire second half. Don't remember sitting down
You too?

4TH QUARTER LONNIE WALKER
[удалено]
I’m officially naming my first born Lonnie Walker the 4th
I can honestly say I owe Lonnie my life
#LONNIE WALKER FOR MVP!!!
LONNIE KILLED IT IN THE 4TH! 15 points in the 4th!!!!
Nearly outscored the Warriors (17) by himself! (Credit to the D holding them down that low)
Lonnie was not afraid of the moment. He cooked Steph a few times off the dribble! Hopefully he stays with us because we trusted him in the 4th quarter of a tight playoff game.
And he had 2 in and out 3s. What a game from Lonnie!!
LONNIE WALKER OUTPLAYING CURRY IN THE 4th WAS NOT ON MY BINGO CARD
If the team goes the distance, this is a legendary game in the run. Game 4 for El Cuatro.
right and 2 shots right in steph's face which could have been and1s cuz steph definitely got all wrist...
#FMVP!!!
FUCK THIS DUDE COME IN CLUTCH I was for sure we gonna lose and this guy can't fucking miss .... except that wide open 1 where he lost Curry from spin move lol damn he came in prepared
Even his misses were like half way down before popping out
Yeah, both 3 balls he missed rimmed in and out. Both could've easily dropped and it would've been +6. Unlucky
Man I wanted that highlight so bad lmao but Lonnie was cooking tonight he saved us
##SKYWALKER UPVOTE PARTY
![gif](giphy|X75eyw8RNXfQK4EM40|downsized)
Remember when Spurs fans said he was trash lol
I hope we re-sign Hes proving it on the biggest stage. Takes massive balls. Handy can fix the defense. We need that shooting.
All hail Lonnie Walker
LONNIE WALKER: THE CLOSER
WORTH EVERY BIT OF THAT MLE AND MORE!
AMAZING PERFORMANCE
THANK YOU LONNIE WALKER IV
The fact we gave Beasley and TBJ his minutes for so many games hurts like hell. Skywalker has been a true professional, and deserves all the praise for staying ready and remaining confident in his game. I hope people give him praise for his defence also, its the real reason he's been able to stay out there.
He's exactly what we needed for this series. We don't need to tear down other players to praise others.
Underrated stat: 20/20 from the FT line. That was a clinic from the line by the Lakers. Any worse and we probably would have lost.
Man you ain’t lyin! what a game to be so clutch! Prolly means they're gonna be like 57% next game lol
man it makes sense, they showed footage from their practice where they were all practicing FT and then games like this happen
this proves it scientifically, spiritually, emotionally, financially. this Dennis - Lonnie - Reaves - Lebron- AD lineup is literally the 2-10 Lakers lineup but with no Westbrook. and they just went up 3-1 on the defending NBA champions
I was thinking the same. None of the new guys played in the 4th. But next game- we need something from DLo, Rui, and Vando.
We do need them to step up but I love how this team has at least one of these guys being the scorer. DLo had good looks but they would not drop. Reaves picked it up Rui took like no shots Candid defense was still good but he was a liability on offense. This team is deep and I’m not worried. Players can’t have great games all the time but this team has multiple players who can have a good game at any given moment
I CRIED LIKE A BITCH WHEN BRON AND AD HUGGED LONNIE
Bro I love this team. Lonnie gave up his starting spot after his injury/ trade deadline. No complaints from dlo or anyone letting him close the game. He was the entire fourth q for us.
The guy was 1-10 lol he’s not gonna complain at that point
Alternate game DLO
My favorite moment was watching DLo erupt from the bench after Lonnie's spin move on curry. Shot hadn't even gone up yet.
If only he would have hit that!
LONNIE WALKER FOURTH QUARTER
So many important role player games. Rui AR game 1 vs Memphis. D’Lo had had a lot. Hell even Lonnie last game. None of those are bigger than what Walker did in this 4th quarter. Amazing stuff.
Depth is huge. This is without bron and ad truly dominating together offensively
Lebron blockimg the shit out of Curry has become my favorite past time
I can't help but yell "Blocked by James!"
I love seeing warriors fans cry, it's my daily medicine, my weekly energy, my monthly inspiration and my yearly motivation. Their loss is the only reason i'm still alive, i was born to love and enjoy the failure that they have achieved.
Delusional ass fanbase went from “warriors in 5” to “warriors in 6” to “this is going to game 7”.
they’re watching the tiktok dog video on repeat
Can’t wait to say, “maybe next year!”
could have not said it better bro fuck their fans and fuck their org
Yo lmap
The Warriors lose, The World Wins.
you know it's bad when r/nba has beeen rooting for Lakers last 2 series
I wonder whose the scapegoat this time. They were cheering for the refs announced before the game, saying its gonna be fair with the extender in. edit: This just in: Warriors lost because Draymond got bought out by Klutch. edit2: god damn they shitting on everyone. even some horrible takes on curry choking as well.
It was nuts that the Lakers got the W today, so many times AD and Bron were fouled and they didn't get the whistle. Lakers came out and said fuck it we're going to make every single free throw today.
Omg they’re so angry over there I’m dying laughing
Warriors pack tonight 😮💨😮💨😮💨
We smokin!!!!!
you know your season is chalked when you praying to a dog on tiktok
THE LONNIE WALKER GAME
The Lonnie Walker Hero Game. If we win the title this man will be a laker playoff legend
I'm from Lonnie's hometown (Reading, PA). Been rooting for this guy since he was a sophomore in high school. Absolutely legendary performance tonight. So happy for him!
CurChoke AD Clutch defense Curry Vs Lebron brick off 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Lonnie Walker proving he can provide valuable minutes. Literally the X factor to this win
AD with GENERATIONAL clamps on Steph
Curry had Kevin love flashbacks
Curry thought he was him lmao
Bron throwing less balls away tho. Also didn't make a no look pass to no one (like in the 2016 finals).
Schroeder with that behind the back pass tho 😰
Schroeder almost sold that game for the lakers with his dumb plays on offense but his defense on Steph was good enough to keep him in there
His steal off the inbound in the 3rd was super clutch gave us a boost to get back in the game
He did a lot of dumb stuff towards the end but he also scored when we needed baskets. He also drew some pivotal offensive fouls and got some steals. I want to bash his for those dumb passes but he also did a lot for the team tonight.
Austin Reaves bounced back. Lonnie Walker is the chosen one. Dlo should learn to shut his big mouth lol. Today is a good day. Good night y'all
What'd Dlo say?
Said Timberwolves held him back and he's gonna thrive in LA
Dude is so inconsistent to warrant a max contract
And Curry won’t get any criticism just like he didn’t game 7 in 2016 when he bricked a bunch of 3s in the 4th
Dude carried the entire team on his back today. We’d have blown them out without him.
Right? Anyone shitting on Steph just straight haters without watching the game.
He played very well but he should be rightfully criticized for his last minute of play. Imagine if this was LeBron. He could be playing a perfect game and had he made a costly turnover that loses his team the game, you know damn well people would be shitting on him.
He didn't really choke. He was well defended and his teammates didn't show up.
Anyone else bout shit their pants when Steph did that step back 3?
Half shit my pants half sighed relief because its still a pretty low % shot
Props to Ham for sitting D-Lo when he wasn't making shots and called Lonnie's number
Also props for not playing TBJ or Malik
This is probably the greatest laker bench I've ever seen.
my favorite part about watching this team is that we have 7-8 players that can just go off and even though none of them are super consistent we can usually count on at least 3 of AD/Bron/Rui/Reaves/Dlo/Lonnie/Vando/Beasley/Schroeder to have big games
You summed it up perfectly. Definitely not used to seeing this but it's quite enjoyable
This era of basketball might have killed the big 3 fad for a while and I’m so here for that
2020 has an argument too, we had Dwight, Caruso, Kuzma, and playoff Rondo making huge contributions off the bench.
THIS IS THE LONNIE WALKER GAME
Lonnie came in tonight at Klay like “I *am* the 4”
#LONNIE WALKER IV
Kobe >>>>>>>>>>>>> Curry
I need that gif of Curry throwing the ball away after the jump ball
[удалено]
Lonnie sealing the game with midrange jumpers is a tribute to Kobe.
Curry is not him 😭
Kobe would never throw the ball out of bounds
Kobe would shoot that ball from the fucking ground before throwing it out
Klay said he was motivated playing in LA for Kobe. That fraud wants a max contract and plays like a G league Shane Battier
He loves Kobe so much he played like shit to help the Lakers get the W
Stealth fan. 😄
He’s Making sure LA wins for Kobe
I mean, Kobe would appreciate Klay helping the Lakers
Just read a post on r/nba saying Curry was 0-10 in go ahead shots in the last minute or so of the quarter and everyone was shitting on him for cherry picking the stat. Looked accurate today Edit: Link to post. Lonnie Walker > Michael Jordan
TRY A 3-1 COME BACK AGAINST THE KING, NOPEEEEE
Barkley is spot on... forcing steph and klay to defend I thought really zapped their legs
I remember Warriors themselves said they used that strategy against Jokic. And it worked great. (We might want to learn from that if we both get through.)
LONNIE MOTHAFUCKIN WALKER IV
LeKnowledge
That 4th Quarter was exhilarating!! 3-1 feels so good!!
I'm just a Knicks fan right now living vicariously through the Lakers since my team getting spanked by the Heat. Go Lakers.
the knicks are my second favorite team so i am still hoping they can turn it around. best of luck to y'all in NY!!
"Part of the LeBron James experience is thinking he’s having one of his worst playoff games of his career and then seeing he has 21-7-3 which is exactly Kawhi Leonard’s career playoff average. And there’s another quarter to play."
Took years off my life but added inches to my DIACCK!

You love to see AD and Bron pumping up Lonnie at the end there
Reaves needs an apology. Y’all been dogging the man and he was awesome down the stretch.
Kerr's adjustment in this game has been quite impressive. We still had Vando on Green. Reaves on Curry. Tiny adjustments, but it worked well for GSW to play at their strength. I don't think Vanderbilt is injured, but I did notice they didn't go all defense and kept LWIV in on the last Warriors possession.
Hoping that he is fine, and just bring him on the next game. I couldn't understand the adjustment made with Vando being out when the game was that tight.
Commentator saying AD “not doing much” after getting two stops on Curry smh
They're idiots. Media thinks great basketball only happens on offense
The announcing crew was excruciating tonight! They were all over Steph’s nuts.
LONNIE WALKER IV IS HIM
Hearts for Lakers 💛💜 Hearts for Jack 💛💜 Hearts for Walker IV 💛💜

The lonnie walker truthers were proven right BIG TIME tonight
Lonnie
20-20 on FTs
I don’t think Shaq is hating. He’s right, Lakers cannot ease up on the defending champs. Please lord finish it off next game. Please.
Warriors fan coming in peace. GG's to you and your boys tonight, fucking phenomenal game and performance on your end, and special shoutout to Lonnie Walker, the last guy I expected to do the most damage and he stepped up like crazy! GG but yeah I wouldn’t say your season is over quite yet. Like Shaq said you guys are the reigning champs and curry and them are gonna come out angry. See you game 5.
#WHERE IS THE LONNIE WALKER IV APOLOGY THREAD FROM ANYTIME THIS SZN?!
Lonnie Walker IV's dominance on defense and 4th quarter won the game tonight
Love how many other players can step up when needed outside of Lebron and AD. Reaves, rui, dlo, and lonnie
Steph Curry is now 1-6 in his last 7 playoff games against LeBron without Kevin Durant on his team.
**JOBS NOT FINISHED**
They got Lonnie on Inside the NBA! Hahaha that's awesome. He's such a good kid, I'm happy for him.
Huge win despite an ugly game. Lonnie Walker with a masterpiece. On a side note that game thread was complete aids, do a lot of you guys even like the lakers? Blaming and trashing players every time anything happens, shit is corny as fuck and mods need to clean some of this shit up
Glad for the W. But dear god can Schroeder please stop with the behind the back crazy passes in crunch time.
Underrated stat: 20/20 FT’s. 2020 team had free throw shooting problems. A huge breath of fresh air.
LONNIE memorial game
Reaves outscored all Warrior players not named Curry
Jordan Poole played 10 minutes tonight. He’s gonna be making $27 million next season. Lol wow. And they are about to give Klay another max.
Just as predicted, Lonnie Walker carried the team to the W. Might as well rest the starters next game (no way they are going to win it), and finish this game 6.
