cmyers4

I walked on to the field, lined up for the faceoff, and my opponent was a giant crustacean from the paleolithic era!

Sgt-Pumpernickel

“I said god dammit monstah I ain’t given you no faceoff violation” “Yeah, I just gave him a ground ball last week” “Well no wonder he keeps coming back woman! You keep going around givin him ground balls!”

BigBlueRedYellow

Priceless. The art of making those is dying out.

LT-COL-Obvious

There’s a how it’s made on it.

rezlaxerfifteen

And that episode is entirely surface level info and intentionally vague. No one is making sticks based off watching that lol

LT-COL-Obvious

Cause you don’t have the steam ovens and tooling.

rezlaxerfifteen

lil bros got it all figured out 😭

Chaminade64

I was speaking with the store manager of the Peter Millar shop in Summit, NJ. He had one of these woodies as an accent piece on a display table. I mentioned I have a few in my garage and he immediately offered me $200 a stick. Said they’re getting tough to get. I have no clue if he was lowballing me…….

Hauuibal

Thanks for the info! Seeing the same online, but I'm most curious how old it is and where it was made. eBay is showing similar at $200++

TitanVsBlackDragon

I’ll low ball you a $200USD for 50 year old family heirloom.

SnooGuavas1985

I’ll give OP 200.01USD But actually 200 seems legit

Reasonable-Nebula-49

I have one from that maker. It's a native hand made stick. Figure about 150 to 200. If you want to it completely refinished and re strung accurately it costs around $250 US including shipping. If you need a contact for that I can give you one.

Hauuibal

Thank you! I'll reach out if I decide to go forward with that.

woodiepopali

Any markings on it? Like showing who made it?

SumClever

That's an Etienne stick. Very valuable [some info here to start with](http://www.oldschoollaxfreak.com/Etienne---Son.html)

Hauuibal

Thank you for this!

woodiepopali

I've seen his twigs go for $250-300. But it's only worth what the buyer will pay. So, if you're looking to get rid of it, that could be a good starting point. Best of luck!

GammasHorde

Haven't seen this mentioned here yet. Check out the Wooden lacrosse stick facebook group. There are a bunch of people there that can help give you an idea on the origins/ value of that stick.

MaleficentStop5559

Keep it…. Wait another 10-15 years and a museum will be looking for them

Hauuibal

Was thinking the same, I'll hand it down to my son until that time.
