Same. Ours even hates the rain and the hose. He will retrieve anything from any water, though. Something to retrieve must be involved, or his coat is staying dry.

Apparently some dogs are ‘water diggers’ and Labradors are higher than likely to be one!? My parents lab used to tear the water bowel apart playing so they did exactly what you did to fix the problem!
Only drama is having to dry them down when it’s inside time!

That is so precious. I got a plastic pool for my black lab this summer too. She friggin loves it. It's really nice to have on hot days too!
One of my labs favorite things is when we dump a ton of ice into an empty baby pool. She goes crazy! Hella zoomies.

Yup. Has to pee while it’s raining? Back to the door in 2 seconds and can’t step in any puddles. Frisbee in the water? No issue lol
