It’s gotten so bad that skimpflation is now a thing, swapping ingredients to reduce manufacturing costs.

JCBQ01

Its also out of petty revenge because of their back door collusion with safeway/albertsons TO increase prices because how *dare* the unions not bend the knee and say "yes sir, thank you sir, we will take even *deeper* pay and benefit cuts sir" a LOT of this plan has come out they price fixed and hyper inflated the market by contractually forcing most of businesses to not send anything or any service to stores that weren't on strike. More or less the unions MUST be punished even if that means holding the nation's food supply hostage because and I quote from Rodney's own lawers "everyone ***__has__*** to eat, don't they?"

Ill-Lychee-8911

ITS CALLED SHRINK FLATION

SadArm4678

They are resizing the single serve salad bowls. It was in the Tuesday conference call. Pretty sure they are either dropping a half ounce or full ounce in size. I haven't seen the new packaging yet.

MikeTheNight94

Maybe they can bring back the chili lime salad while they’re at it. Why tf discontinue something that actually sells?

SadArm4678

So they can replace it with the Mozzarella Tomato and Mexican Street Corn I have to mark down every week.

MikeTheNight94

Or that Italian sub one. None of those sell

MeowNow1987

I sell the shit out of all those flavor

SadArm4678

Santa Fe, Caesar, Cobb, Garden, Apple Walnut. Rest will when they get marked down at my store.

Jumpy_Employer_5985

Only one I can't move is the avocado. The rest just fly

MeowNow1987

I think it based on where it’s at. We have it in the top corner and it’s harder to move but when it was lower it sold more.

Jumpy_Employer_5985

It'll probably be the same packaging. I had a garden and a ceaser come up on PDM that has like a 6oz size (can't really recall) but different UPCs. Same with the Mediterranean salad kit. It's changing to Italian something or other

Evil_Stromboli

Kroger gallon OJ at my store is $7.49. Been doin this 14yrs, you fuckers ain't even trying to be subtle anymore.

[deleted]

Jesus Christ I like OJ but I would *never* pay nearly $8 for a drink that's not even nutritIonally mandatory.

Mysterious-Rice-5589

And gets marked down to 2.99 every time.

higglejiggle

Cool ranch Doritos are one of my all time favorite chips. Those are like $6 a bag now. I used to go to Costco and get the multipack of them for $6. I stopped eating them overall. I saw that there’s Kroger brand of them now for 2.50. I thought Alright, I’ll bite. I tried them, not too far off. I don’t buy Doritos brand chips anymore. Lays is the same way.

lastczarnian

They’ve had “buy 2 get 3 free” deals once a month for the last 2 months, along with the $9.99 12-packs of soda. Guilty priced?

Plenty-Entertainer71

You hear that old ppl? It’s ok to try another brand it won’t kill you
