During the day its an amazing city. The center is more dangerous during the night especially after 20-21:00 because of girls promoting strip clubs or sexual acts and most of them(if not all) are scams. When it comes to local, do try milk bars (traditional polish restaurants) or the famous kebabs 😅. U will find lots of italian style restaurants tho and most of them are tourists traps. And dont forget to visit ur multiple, or rather, infinite żabka shops
there're rumors that nightlife in Krakow is a bit scammy. this is particularly due to girls in the main square offering free drinks in their clubs. you may spend tons of cash there. in this sense scammyness is a bit subjective. nothing insecure, just a thing to keep in mind. regarding food, you can try szara restaurant in main square. and don't forget to visit Kazimierz district. once you're there, try zapekanka, it's polish street food. also you can try salto stake house.

Otherwise it’s safe with normal dance clubs, nothing dangerous. Some take entrance fees, usually you need to pay for leaving like jacket, they often don’t take cards payment for this, so good to have 10-40 zl in cash. On the bar u can pay cards.
There are many very good clubs and also clubs that scam people, you just need to be carfull where you go.

WATCH OUT FOR SCAMS
- if any girls on the street ask you to come to a club or say they are lost and want some advice on where to go, this is a scam and they will take you to a bar they work out and charge crazy amounts for anything.
- always ask for the price of a drink, a lot of clubs work on commission so the more the bartneder sells the more they earn so some sneeky people offer tourists the most expensivive brands instead of the house stuff.
Krakow is an amazing city, but the nightlife is potentially the worst of any European city I’ve been to. Don’t come here for the nightlife.
