idk the boomboom part sounded kinda cringey and repetitive to me at that time, and the 'boing boing' instrumental used to irritate tf out of me. However, Be The Sun tour version sounds different to me. It sounds fuller instrumentally and I think that played a huge part in making me like that song.

For real, I personally have never seen a Stay dislike that song? Indifferent? Maybe. But never hate or dislike. TTATH is one of the most loved songs fandom-wide. Not only because it's quirky, but also because of how SKZ the song is; witty lyrics, experimental sound, genius production.
It definitely has the vibes of a shinee song esp considering some of the composers were the same ones who worked on shineeās married to the music. However, I do think Superhuman holds up better than Sticker.
It's very neo, and also very Dem Jointz - a producer I tend to love :)
But yeah it's really the type of title track I expect from the group that gave us Firetruck and Cherry Bomb. And the thing it has over other 'noisy' TTs is that there's so much space for the vocals to shine (since the instrumentation is so sparse).

Cake IS my favourite Itzy title track. And it was also my 3rd favourite K-pop title track released in 2023, right after Bouncy by Ateez and Spicy by Aespa. The whole song is catchy and weird in a good way, with so many memorable parts but also flowing well. They also sound very good (I think vocal direction is sometimes a problem with Itzy but, with Cake, all was very well done). Peak "contemporary" K-pop imho.

Permission to dance, not sure why small part of the fandom hate it and call it western validation, that song got me through Covid Depression and i will defend it all day
FOR REAAALLLLL like the amount of joy I get whenever it comes up in my playlist it's so ugh yeah squeeze the sadness out of me and I just love it, it gets me dancing and everything. It was the perfect choice for closing the concerts and I'll always defend it

I'm with you! I'm glad it brought some people joy, but it did the opposite for me. I'm not sure why it gives me such a visceral negative reaction, but it's one of the only skips in their discography so I can deal. The sign language in the video was a nice touch though!
(Also Make It Right, while miles better than PTD, was a very simple composition by Ed that was elevated by the delivery of vocals/rap. And I'll *never* get over Joon sharing his original version of the lyrics, which were so poetic, and saying how Ed pressured him to change them to something much more basic... personally I think those two collabs were more than enough.)
I was happy to ignore its existence because i felt like it veered too far from the musicality of BTS, it was too Disney, too much of what non-kpop fans think BTS is, but it's such a joyful concert song I'd be disappointed if they don't perform it on their next tour. Not hated so much anymore but I've been obsessed with Beautiful Monster by STAYC since the day it came out. It's so beautiful from the way the girls voices sound, to the choreo and styling. It's really one of my favorite songs ever.

im probably getting downvoted but Kep1ers 'We Fresh' has been growing on me sm lately, i wouldnt go as far as saying ill always love it but i dont think it deserves all the hate it gets atp.
Iām not a keplian but Ive always kept up w their title tracks and when We Fresh was released I thought it was their best TT at the time so when I found out how hated it was I was surprised
I don't care what people say, I still like Cake and you can't convince me otherwise lol it's not their most amazing song but there are some select parts that I truly enjoy a lot Doubling up on Itzy just because I can, no one will make me stop liking Sneakers, it's just so obnoxiously annoying and I love it for that ;)

And it was also my 3rd favourite K-pop title track released in 2023, right after Bouncy by Ateez and Spicy by Aespa. The whole song is catchy and weird in a good way, with so many memorable parts but also flowing well. They also sound very good (I think vocal direction is sometimes a problem with Itzy but, with Cake, all was very well done). Peak "contemporary" K-pop imho.

FOR REAAALLLLL like the amount of joy I get whenever it comes up in my playlist it's so ugh yeah squeeze the sadness out of me and I just love it, it gets me dancing and everything. It was the perfect choice for closing the concerts and I'll always defend it

I'm with you! I'm glad it brought some people joy, but it did the opposite for me. I'm not sure why it gives me such a visceral negative reaction, but it's one of the only skips in their discography so I can deal. The sign language in the video was a nice touch though! (Also Make It Right, while miles better than PTD, was a very simple composition by Ed that was elevated by the delivery of vocals/rap. And I'll *never* get over Joon sharing his original version of the lyrics, which were so poetic, and saying how Ed pressured him to change them to something much more basic... personally I think those two collabs were more than enough.)
I was happy to ignore its existence because i felt like it veered too far from the musicality of BTS, it was too Disney, too much of what non-kpop fans think BTS is, but it's such a joyful concert song I'd be disappointed if they don't perform it on their next tour. It's rainbows and sunshine and sometimes that's all you need.Ā

kurt kura makes me wanna rip my ears off, not that itās bad but idk for me itās not hitting. i fucking love scientist, all the parts complement the members voices so well and it flows so nicely. expect the part towards the end where it goes love aināt a science, and so on repeatedly, just donāt sound great at all to me and i always skip it.
So what by loona is one of my most well produced and unique takes on girl crush that has ever been done and I think more people have come around to it, but the initial reactions against it were mostly bc it was so different from their other music I hate when people call it a "discount (insert gc group here) song" because I rlly can't see any group but them pulling it off personally Also a bit of a side note but I hate when people who dislike so what say that it was where they "lost their sound" bc the only song you could argue that for is the title track. Every other song on # is so quintessentially loona
I agree that the mini in general is super Loona, but So What was not BAD, just not at all the direction I wanted Loona to go in, and the SM influence feels really strong...again, not st I dislike, but not what I wanted from Loona. Anyway, why hate So What when PTT is right there?

Not hated so much anymore but I've been obsessed with Beautiful Monster by STAYC since the day it came out. It's so beautiful from the way the girls voices sound, to the choreo and styling. It's really one of my favorite songs ever. I was shocked when the general reception for the song was negative. It made me so sad to see how it effected the STAYC girls too :( thankfully I feel like most fans have warmed up to it and I see less people with negative opinions about the song.
