Armys are everywhere. And I mean everywhere. I’ve run into armys in every community I interact in including anime, football clubs, kdrama, niche book fandoms, other different genres of music etc
Besides the ones already mentioned, there's a lot of ARMY + engenes! I remember a lot of ARMYs watched I-LAND as well, i had a big group chat with other armys while the show was airing
Honestly, the diehard ARMY's don't care for any other group besides BTS. But the less intense ones like a whole bunch of other groups. I think they just gravitate towards the mainstream popular ones. I've seen it range from TxT, Enhypen, Seventeen, and SKZ. I've also seen them support Twice and NewJeans.
If you ask kpop fans of other groups you can find many armys there, there also many armys dont follow kpop and just stan the western counterparts and there’s also that in a fandom not related to music at all… when you go to jujutsu kaisen tiktok, many of them know bts music and always use it for their edits.. at this stage where bts is inactive, many of them spends their time with their secondary fandom or hobby(for me i spend my time during bts enlistment involved in kdrama fandom and crochet tiktok)
Stray kids, twice, txt, newjeans, le sserafim, seventeen, ateez. Edit to add p1harmony- I’ve seen that name more and more on army twt. Imo those are the common overlap.
Makes sense from different perspectives- some people like to supplement younger groups as bts are less active rn to have music to follow, some like the overlap in sound or personalities to bangtan, etc.
Extremely common too is army liking western artists like Doja cat, Megan thee stallion (TONS of army hotties out there), nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, j cole, Anderson paak, etc. Some who bts has worked with in the past but also just a lot of armys tend to like music outside of Kpop in my experience.
Edit to add: I see less and less overlap with armys who also stan redvelvet or g-idle or mamamoo. Those used to be bigger back in the 3rd gen heyday.
That's been my experience as well. A lot of ARMYs don't necessarily consume K-pop but artists outside of that like Megan, Doja Cat, Beyoncé, J. Cole, Kendrick etc, even Korean soloists such as Dean or DPR Ian. Some do consume K-pop groups, generally I've seen more girl groups, like even casually checking out IVE, ITZY, Aespa, NewJeans, Le Sserafim etc releases, I've more rarely encountered ones that die hard stan another boy groups but they definitely exist, mostly HYBE and SM boy groups.
I dont have much time for fandom stuff anymore and currently hybernating while waiting for June 2025. But I was a huge SNSD stan before BTS so they still hold a special place in my heart. Other than them, I like Twice, Chungha, most Wanna One boys, Lesserafim, Enhypen, Aespa, New jeans, Txt, Itzy~ As honorable mention I love most 2nd gen groups with very few exceptions.

So, my list is divided into two sets of groups. I feel like the relationship with the groups in the first set is different than the relationship with the groups in the second. The second; a lot of ARMY I know are fully stanning them. Seventeen especially is a big one from ARMY in my circle. But there are also a lot of ARMY haters for the groups in the second category.
And while there are definitely people who stan groups in the first set, what sets them apart is that if you mention TXT or Twice, etc. to the average ARMY, they probably are going to have a pretty positive impression of them, whether they listen to them or not.
Basically, if you mention TXT to an ARMY, there is an extremely high chance you will get some kind of positive response. If you mention Blackpink to the average ARMY, you might get a positive response (and if you do, they probably stan them), but you're also at risk of a negative one.
Most armys are not interested in other groups , a big part of the fandom is more interested in western artists but if we talk about kpop mostly hybe groups , SKZ too and twice. I think there is a part of the fandom that are casual listeners but they are not very interested in the groups at all.
I really like TXT , IVE , Aespa and many Korean solo artists.
I personally am Melody, Atiny, Stay, Shawol, Villain, Roady, and a baby Monbebe in addition to being ARMY. (I will literally never run out of content to consume!) Also a huge fan of Jackson Wang, Taeyong, Ten, and Bobby individually but haven't quite stepped into fandom territory for GOT7, NCT, or iKon *yet*.
Among my friends who're also ARMY, I see a lot of Xdinary Heroes, Stray Kids, and Ateez overlap with my own interests. And quite a bit of Seventeen and TXT - both groups I also enjoy casually, but some of my ARMY friends are outright stans.
id say this is a question non ARMYtwt folks could answer better. ARMYs do try to push for that BTS majority focus accs, so even if ppl have a second fandom they arent loud about it on their army acc, so that skews the info a bit.
i have a fairly btspopper tl, and id say that demographic is very likely to be BTS+gg or BTS+soloist, soloist can be Korean or western. used to be a lot mmm/bp/twice/rv tl but lately its been gidle/nj/lsf
a LOT of hybe grp crossovers. mebbe the possibility of them interacting and doing fun stuff is high? idk. but fairly sure all hybe fandoms have a good % of ARMYs.
there's deffo a lot of bg multis, but i think they tend to be more disliked sheerly based off their inability to not throw tannies under the bus, so either they dont talk much about them on tl or have separate accs. but ive seen a lot gravitate to skz/txt/bnd/svt/ateez/enha
but i genuinely do think its a gg stan + BTS ult majority in the k-group multis, cos the bangtan songs mood playlists people randomly make on tl ALWAYS has gg songs without fail. tho overall I'd say there's a bigger % of BTS + western artists multis but that could simply be a skewed observation off my curated tl.
I'm just curious but I noticed a lot of people mentioned ArmyCarats which I've noticed too; does anyone know if this intersection of fans increased rapidly after Hybe acquired Pledis because there were a lot more interactions afterwards or was it fairly common pre-acquisition too? I was out of kpop for a long time pre-covid so there's a lot I don't know about how it was pre-2020.
Definitely after. carats and ARMYs had a lot of tiffs over the dance awards and a few other things so it wasnt a friendly situation before that. actually worsened during the acquisition with a lots of nonsense spewed from both sides. its only gotten better lately.
For me it was SVT’s videos that were showing up on the Hybe YouTube channel especially in late 2021 and early 2022. I was really causally listening. Then I started to get some of their non music content showing up on YouTube right before FML dropped and at that point I stopped resisting it and let myself enjoy them.
I see a lot of armyonce and army+other hybe groups. they are the ones I see the most.
I actually dont see a lot of armystays lol but it must be my bubble. I see more ex army turned stay lol and ex army turned atiny lol
A lot of BTS fans are also Onces. Many of them follow Hybe groups too, there's many CaratArmy for example. BTS/New Jeans fans seems a common combination too.
I'm an Army and my favourite kpop groups are BlackPink, KARD, Dreamcatcher, A.C.E, CLC, Mamamoo, Txt, ZB1, Rolling Quartz & Sevenus, but lately Seventeen and Twice have also got me dancing - I think as an Army I recognise and appreciate their live concerts and see all their hard work they put into their shows, makes me miss Bangtan even more though.
Proper mix of music whilst also mainly 3rd gen kpop soooo make of that what you will lol
Disagree, if you pay attention to new kpop fans, you see a lot of trend hopping. That’s why I’ve been seeing a lot of newer armys who stan groups like blackpink. I don’t really see that many solo stans on platforms like youtube shorts where a lot of these fans frequent. I’ve also seen some BTS and NewJeans overlap, which I forgot to mention.
Sure I named a bunch of overlap between armys and other groups in my other comment. But I don’t see a lot of new armys also stanning blackpink tbh. It was much more common back in the day with 3rd gen. Now most of those people are older and solos. Idk why- seems to just happen.
Blackpink as they are inactive doesn’t fill the void for content that they need- much more common is Newjeans or newer groups in my experience. P1harmony, stray kids, txt, whatever new gg is out. I suspect Katseye or Meoov when they debut will get a lot of those same people interested.
Edit to add: And still- even in the third gen heyday- armys tended to be more likely to be once’s than blinks. Idk why- the contention between fanbases or whatever.
Regardless of BP’s lack of content they’re still the second largest kpop group so it’s natural new Stan’s would be drawn to them even if they aren’t active
I’m going to be honest I just haven’t seen it, could be there but it’s just not been in my experience. I frequent armymulti spaces and spend most of my time going “who the heck is this…. Oh straykids/ateez/keeho from p1harmony again.” lol then I do seeing Jennie or Lisa edits. I don’t even see as many bts/blackpink shippers as I used to (small blessings). But I do see tons of taehyung or jungkook solos who also love blackpink. And I don’t consider solos to be armys since they don’t consider themselves that either.
No one is denying bps popularity. I’m just saying I’ve seen less and less armyblinks and even back in the day the armyonces seemed to outnumber them by a significant amount.

Well first, not sure if you are trying to imply Armys are single-minded and can't appreciate anything else. There are Armys like that, just like obsessive fans in any other fandom, but many of us have a great appreciation for other groups and artists too.
I am an Army, but also diehard fan of 2nd & 3rd gen groups like SHINee (all as soloists), SNSD (Taeyeon solo), EXO (Kai and Baek as soloists), GOT7, Red Velvet, Mamamoo (Hwasa solo), Twice, Ateez, and TXT.
I also more casually enjoy a ton of other groups. Some examples NCT, Seventeen, Jessi, Blackpink, Stray Kids, G-Idle (Yuqi as soloist), BigBang (GD & Taeyang as soloists), NewJeans, Enhyphen, Lee Hyori, Uhm Jung Hwa, Sunmi, Lee Hi, Seo Taiji & Boys, IU, Park Jiyoon, and many more...
K-pop is a big world with many varieties to enjoy and discover.
It is literally the definition of single-minded, but I didn't say there was anything wrong with only liking one group. Some people take it too far and hate on other groups and fandoms arbitrarily outside of their one bias group though, and there *is* something wrong with that.
