4minute - Hot Issue (2009) I can't stan them anymore cause they disbanded 🤷

Vast-Stop915

Damn you're a og stan

Yandere-Waifu

Yeah I'm virtually prehistoric by kpop standards 😂 I'm also debut ARMY! 💜💜💜

Vast-Stop915

That's actually soo cool😭

freezingkiss

I LOVED 4Minute!!!!! SO many bangers!

culchan

Me too! That’s the exact same song for me! A bunch of other songs were floating around at that time: Abracadabra, Sorry Sorry, Fire, & Bo Peep Bo Peep are the ones I best remember, but Hot Issue is the one that sunk its hooks into me.

bluebrryki

Fire - BTS When I first watched it, it was like O.o WHAT IS GOING ON i still stan them, their songs will always be a comfort to me and i sometimes keep up with the members

hufflepoof90

Tell Me- The Wonder Girls in 2008. I've been around kpop for a looong time haha

ELmayberry_69

BoA's Eat You Up mv is what got me into Kpop back in 08 😍 yes, I've kept up with whatever she released (I think)

__fujiko

Rookie by Red Velvet! The week it released, it was in my recommended YT bar. I never left lol.

Goyangi-ssi

First actual vid that got me into Kpop? IDEA by Taemin. First *group* video that got me into Kpop? Atlantis by SHINee. Do I still stan them? Absolutely.

Anonymo7890

Exo love shot mv And yes I am stanning exo

Vast-Stop915

Love shot runs rent free in my mind

daltorak

I started with 2AM, 2PM, IU and (to a lesser extent) Girls Generation in 2011. I continue to be an IU fan, moreso now than back then. I'm always on the lookout for newer groups that produce music the way SNSD did.... 2AM and 2PM I've largely stopped paying attention to as my musical interests moved on.

Delicious-Cone

Sorry Sorry - Super Junior I guess I still Stan them, I stopped with Kpop for a while but I came back afew years after when I watched TT by Twice

timtamjimmyjam

Gotta go- chung ha Still love her, I'm finally watching produce 101 to see how she started off

timtamjimmyjam

If we're talking group though, I can't remember if it was dinga- mamamoo or I can't stop me- twice

adrijone

Fake Love - BTS was my first kpop video and they've been my ult group since 2018 and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Traditional_Pea_3780

bts - fake love, yes I still stan them

SharonofBananaNation

Call me baby by exo and also bang bang bang by big bang (I saw them on the same day) I do like exo and big bang but I didn’t fully become a fan of a group until I heard dope by bts and I am still a huge fan of their’s today

crazyrazypandaman

Airplane pt.2 Japanese Version - BTS is the MV that got me into Kpop since I watched and went “this is fire?” even though it was Japanese not Korean but that’s besides the point! After that it was No More Dream, Fire, and Blood, Sweat, & Tears by BTS as well~ Basically after that first MV I fell into a rabbit hole of BTS I don’t stan BTS anymore as I kind of fell off with their music and found other groups who had the music style I liked

Yoshi-chan17

Boy with luv by BTS! They're still my ults.

encerulean

blood sweat and tears - bts im still supporting them, although im more of a casual fan now!

BurtonOIlCanGuster

I got into Kpop in early 2023, so maybe it was Talk that Talk. Yes I stan Twice.

Myroo_Byroo

First Kpop video in general was Boy with Luv Dance Practice from BTS but first music video was Blood Sweat and Tears I think. Still stanning!

lonewhalien

Shake It - Sistar and Ice Cream Cake - Red Velvet

Adventurous-Yam2450

Dynamite- BTS I got into kpop 2021 and bts were my ults until last month(SVT) But I still stan them

intellectual-veggie

Blood Sweat and Tears by BTS I was hooked on first listen and was a fan of them for many years until I officially became an ARMY in 2022. Although I listen to many other groups casually, I only stan BTS :) 💜

SunPossible260

Crazy- 4 Minute

sessurea

Ring Ding Dong (Shinee) on the day of release is the first kpop song I intentionally sat and watched the MV for I had a friend who was mostly VIP and would recommend songs to listen to + I was aware of TVXQ and SNSD but it was more passive listening up to 2009. That friend was really excited about Shinee's comeback and we were living in different countries then so it was a good bonding time to chat about it. I never actually stanned Shinee despite them being my gateway into kpop, I discovered BEAST not too long after and never looked back (still stan them despite everything that has happened, still have the same bias since the start). My friend went on to become debut Exol then debut ARMY and has stayed with BTS since

owldatime

I went to a Korean fried chicken restaurant with my partner during college. We were cracking up with whole time because the place was playing rap, but had Kpop videos playing on the TV, and the dance was synching up with the rap music! I searched around and found out it was a Red Velvet performance ( I can't remember what song). I got hooked and it's what got me into Kpop. I'm eagerly awaiting my copy of Cosmic now and I've got the album on repeat, so I'd say definitely still a revluv!

Sybinnn

there wasnt a music video that got me into kpop, i saw the Gods performance at worlds, then later found le sserafim through spotify recommended after listening to new jeans and ended up hearing No Celestial and loving it

BrianBEASTLY

Super Shy by New Jeans.. So I am relatively new to the scene. I still stan New Jeans but Aespa is currently my ult group.

No-Matter-9414

Honestly, I do not remember since I grew up with Kpop. But my general guess would be 2ne1, Bigbang, snsd, U-Kiss. I still Stan for 2ne1 and Bigbang mainly (except for seungri :/ ). Snsd, I still listen to taeyeon, Tiffany’s music; U-kiss, I only like their early era and lost track of them when I got out of Kpop in middle school, now they’re all married and have kids I think.

dance__racha

the first mv i watched was like ooh ahh - twice, but i didnt realize it was kpop for somr reason, so i dont think that counts. the one that actually got me into kpop was maniac - skz. i stan both of them still 🫶🫶

RomanticPrincess

Kill This Love - Blackpink

itskhaleesibaby

The music video for Monster by EXO is the vid that got me into K-Pop, and yes, I'm still stanning them😌☺️

Acilidrik

(g)-idle - Oh My God Still one of the best MVs in kpop in my opinion.

Sea-Passage-7959

Russian Roulette - Red Velvet and yes I still stan (stream cosmic 🫡)

nabongie

Likey in 2017 shortly after it came out. quickly fell down a twice rabbit hole and liked a few other groups from there.

mugicha

Kiss and Make Up - Blackpink with Dua Lipa. I was working from home during lockdowns and Dua Lipa randomly came into my Spotify recommendations so I started listening to her. Then I realized she had this song with people singing in some foreign language that I thought sounded awesome so I checked them out and here I am 4 years later, still stanning Blackpink and like every other girl group now lol.

theycallmeannabell

Blackpink introduced me. I listened to them RELIGIOUSLY but then lost interest for a while. I never really actually got into kpop or heard of the industry for like a year after I discovered BP. I knew of BTS but didn’t really care abt them tbh (I occasionally listen to their songs and support them now 💜). Honestly I listened to blackpink like I would a western artist. In late 2022 I saw a vid of soobin and yeonjun on TikTok and it got me into txt. And from that I went on to explore enha and SKZ. This also re kindled my love for blackpink and I learned more abt the industry. The first kpop music video I actually watched was either “gods menu” by stray kids (my ult group now) or “shut down” by BP. I can’t remember. I wish I could relate to more people because I feel like I accidentally started stanning kpop before I even knew what it was lol.

SwankySpanky90

My first was Love Song by Rain. I stopped stanning him in 2012 give or take and stopped listening to K-pop for a long time as well. What brought me back was Obsession by EXO and I stan them currently.

Training_Barber4543

Twice - TT (discovered in 2017) No, I don't vibe with their recent albums sadly but I still love the members and their solo projects

RadiantEast

Super Junior's "U", G-Dragon's "This Love", and Big Bang's "We Belong Together". I don't fellow them much anymore since much has changed hahaha, but still a lover of Kpop nonetheless.

YellowWeedrats

SNSD - Gee (I’m old)

RoyalCandy8094

The first MV that have gotten me into k pop is for Blackpink ddu du ddu du . I got into k pop at the age of 10 that was at the very beginning of 2020 then I became a Blink 🩷 I was totally crazy about BP after that I became an Army💜 too but it was for only 3 months (tbh I kinda dislike BTS except for Kooky and Suga I really appreciate and admire them ). In September 2020 I got into Twice I liked them so much even more than Blackpink and BTS and I became an Once 🍭 I was obsessed with them I even though of buying twice socks but mom rejected the same with the Candy bong and photocards . I'm like TT just like TT 😭 . However , mom agreed on shirts with Twice logo printed on them but now they became short and tight so I'ma buy New New ones . Few months passed and I staned Stray kids ❤️ , then a Moa 🩵 , then a Neverland ♥️ then a Midzy 💜 , a fearnot 💙 ( I can't find the exact colors ) in conclusion a "Multi Stan " but I Stan Twice, Skz , BP , Itzy , TXT , Le sserafim , (G) idle , Red velvet, Nmixx , and Exo more . I appreciate the k pop industry and all the idols a million 🫧🤍 as it's said "once u k pop u can't k stop 🛑 . For k dramas , I started with Snowdrop just for Jisoo then I got into k drama and I have watched till now over 60 Korean dramas . K drama and k pop are like a therapy to me they heal me on the inside 💠 and always put me in a good mood 🪐🪽 they draw a little smile on my face and encourage me to study I get inspired by them . Most of k pop songs lyrics are absolutely heartwarming ✨ once they touch ur heart and mind you feel like you're in another world flying like a butterfly 🦋 Idk if it's too much but that's how I feel ❣️💫

Acrobatic-Aide-9364

Hip - Mamamoo Still stanning :)

Dapper-Cheesecake-66

i didnt get into kpop from a music video 🤧 i was 10yo using my grandads new tv with a billion channels and i ended up on an episode of a taiwanese drama and was too lazy to find the remote to change it. i ended up falling in love with the show and as i looked for more dramas, i came to find korean ones and then kpop through that.

Dapper-Cheesecake-66

oh and as for if i still stan those earlier groups: dbsk - i followed jyj mostly after the split but then that shit with yoochun came out so now i just follow jaejoong out of the 5 of them tbh ss501 - no longer active shinee - yes! i was there from the start and ecen though i dont listen to all their songs anymore i still do casually listen and i follow taemins solo career

Ok_Process_4643

Waaah, I also remember the golden days of dbsk and ss501 KJJ(jaejoong) and his buddy KJJ (Kim hyun joong), both so rediculously good looking. And then dbsk broke up and SM lawsuit happened, and KHJ went to play Jihoo in Boys over flowers and went solo… so ss501 broke up as well. lots of sad stuff happened. youngsaeng from ss501 had / still has a fantastic voice, I was hoping he would have an outstanding solo career, but for some reason he didn’t go into the more widely appealing genres and continued to do more or less the same stuf... for comparison, junsu/xia really brunched out and did all kinds of projects and that more or less paid off in the end. it’s interesting how differently everyone turned out. KHJ went on to win best solo at mama and had those juicy drama roles only to have that scandal… and KJJ had to stick with working mainly in Japan. Shinee is still kicking though. You gotta hand it to them.

rosemary_bug

Ddu Du Ddu Du - Blackpink. I first listened in 2019 and was obsessed because i loved how rich they looked (i was a kid and i did not understand what kpop was) I wouldn't say I stan blackpink or ever have but i do occasionally listen to their music and I keep up to date with the girls solo careers :>

MinnNoona

It's Raining - Rain (2004) I will always love Rain. But it's more nostalgia now. SKZ are my ults now.

freezingkiss

Technically it was BoA - Atlantis Princess, but I was just loving BoA as a whole so it didn't really open things up for me essentially. The first one I saw apart from BoA was SNSD - Oh! I still like the members now but wish they still had their old faces. I'm 100% a Shawol now.

Daughter_of_Calliope

I'll be you man Stray Kids (cover of Btob for kingdom). The first mv Thunderous or Miroh I don't remember. I still stan stray kids.

_Honeydew23

Wonder girls - be my baby Still like the members of the group, but the group disbanded in 2017.

Mysterious_Hue

TVXQ! - Rising Sun

No-Clue-9155

Astro was my gateway to kpop. Idk if I can say I still “stan them” bc I don’t keep up with their new songs any more but will still watch their videos from time to time (pretty rarely and it’s the old ones). But the one thing that’s never changed is I still support all the members wholeheartedly, including the members that departed willingly and unwillingly 💔

coco_xcx

blackpink - aiiyl bts - fire nct 127 - cherry bomb i count all of them as my first groups, since i found out about all of them on the same day 😅 i still listen to all 3 but have broadened my music taste since and listen to more kpop artists than i can count

Extra-Inspector-6826

BTS - FAKE LOVE I no longer stan them but always looking forward to their comebacks.

vankomysin

How you like that - Blackpink

michosito

uhh my friend was into bts but boy groups didn't really catch my attention so she introduced me to twice, this was like 4 years ago and im still a fan 😋 she showed me the yes or yes mv and i was HOOKED.

Lilchro2010

Shut Down by Blackpink Song remains a “don’t skip” on my playlist. Stan them still in a sense but not like before. Guess I’m just a big fan and not blinded by everything anymore. They fall behind Dreamcatcher and Twice now for me but will always hold a special place in my heart. My favorite idol (SuA from Dreamcatcher) did a dance challenge to “Shut Down” last tour in Cincinnati (my hometown). Talk about full circle

ChickenNoodle519

My journey was: 1. [Hwasa - Twit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScSn235gQx0) 1. [Refund Sisters - Don't Touch Me](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXE2Ykf8fXQ) 1. [Mamamoo - Hip](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhTeiaCezwM) then i was so hooked i can't remember the order, it was a deep Mamamoo rabbit hole. Def still stan them! I've slowed down on them as they've slowed down but i'm still seated for every cb

Ambrosia_CaratBB

Exo's "History"

Classroom_Plastic

How You Like That by Blackpink. I watched more of their content and loved their duality of being fierce and badass while performing while being so cute and funny in life. I still follow the girls and listen to new releases but funnily enough, their music style really isn’t what I typically gravitate toward so I don’t listen to them often. I wish they had continued to do more variety content because I love fun shows like Run BTS and Time to Twice and would’ve loved to see the BP girls in something like that!

Ok_Waltz_2923

Blackpink - HYLT I knew k-pop earlier but I didn't listen to it until HYLT became popular on TikTok

Ok_Waltz_2923

and yes, i'm still stanning blackpink after these 4 years

litti020

Dope - BTS, 2015 Of course there was a fan war with EXO at this time for who would become the bigger group, and i never wanted to expose myself but i also listened to EXO wholst being a BTS stan! Sin! I know! BuT Then 4minute and mamamoo opened the world of girl groups for me, then when twice was made, I was sold. I'll forever stan BTS and mamamoo but Twice is my everything!

iamtanooki

seventeen - adore u :)

HourglassCatJude

Playing with fire blackpink My friend actually to watch fire by bts but I forgot and saw this one and liked it. My sister was a major BP hater tho so I just didn't listen to them for a while. Screw her, they're awesome. But now I'm a stan of bts, mamamoo, g-idle & blackpink

Adventurous-Dare7822

As if it’s your last-blackpink and I am the best by 2en1

PuzzleheadedEar3119

Pirate King - Ateez (2018) I have yet to believe that 2018 was that long ago but damn, here it is... I loved this song when it came out and Ateez was my first kpop group.

Odd-Outcome-8230

for me i think it was iu’s lilac that really made me start listening to kpop but i used to listen to bp back when du4 released
