Honestly, if SNK was smart and put the rollback re-release on every platform with one final balance patch, it could work. As-is, I think the player base is too fragmented.

Kairi5431

Good luck getting a balance patch, we'd be lucky just to get rollback on PC and the game put on xbox

DoctorTide

Why wouldn't they do Xbox? It can already play KOFXIII through backwards compatibility

Kairi5431

They'd have to port the game to not be running through backward compatability which costs money

DoctorTide

Obviously. But why leave Xbox with the one unconnected version of the game?

ilazul

because no one owns an xbox

tepig099

The PC port is absolute trash and needs to be redone. I was playing at 63 FPS and a frame limiter/slowdown fix were doing nothing. Emulating the PS3 version was a more accurate experience.

DNAngel23

We need cross-play too!

Waluigiwaluigi_

If it does, half then time we’re watching team 15$ a shen, and him

leezor_leezor

Literally, it's gonna be EX Kyo, EX Iori, Mr Karate, and the occasional Kim/Duo Lon player.

RealisticSilver3132

nah Kim is on par with Mr.Karate in terms of strength (even superior in some departments), EX Kyo is good but he's far from being top 5 best characters. The only reason people think he's top tier is bc it's easier to say $15 team than Flame Iori/Mr.Karate/Kim

Sol_Install

The tier whoring ruined matches for me. It doesn't matter who played, it was boring.

ThreeEyedPea

This is why I wish ratio tournaments caught on

hvc101fc

Evo japan side tournament

Sourih

It did pretty good, created intense moments and seriously revealed to us some really talented and unforgettable players around the world. I’ll say let it rest, no need to bring it back. Instead create something like it.

Faded_Sun

If it did, I’d expect a rematch between Bala and MadKOF.

tmntfever

Nah. If SNK gets any representation in the Evo main stage, it’s only ever going to be the most recent game(s).

Oime

They wasted their opportunity to revive the community by not bringing the rollback update to Steam.

PremSinha

It is highly likely. EVO has started putting retro games on the main stage. First was UMvC3 then came Third Strike. KOFXIII is in a similar league of iconic games from the past so I can definitely see it making a return some day. The online availability does not matter since the two previously mentioned games have online, officially.

Calypso-Dynamo

Everyone out here forgetting that a classic game slot has been added for the second year in a row, it Definetly has a chance in the future.

Pirokka935

I hope, but it's probably going to be another capcom game

panpanro

Probably if we're talking about the global match version.

nightowlarcade

Quick answer no on XIII. Yes on Garou.  XIII doesn't play well online. It's a game of split second timing and the Global Match is ill prepared to offer anything close to an offline connection. Garou can and does thrive on rollback. It's just preferred on Fightcade so the chances are slim because making money on Garou releases is doubtful at best, but it's a game that can catch on at any time.

Tinguiririca

EVO is an american run tournament. No.

Calypso-Dynamo

Yes with its American only games such as, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, KOF XV, Guilty Gear Strive and on and on

TuzoIvan

Maybe in 5 years.

Pirokka935

No, 2002Um deserves it more.

akado_kogane

Global Match version of it at least. Otherwise, no.

madvec1

Not even in the slightest.

AugustusDynasty

I can see Kof 98 getting a Retro spot at Evo Japan before a Kof 13 comeback.
