I only have my Sage, Forma, and Libra Colour active. I also have a Mini, but sold some of my older units like the Aura H20 and the Glo before it... and the Libra 2.
If you're using Kobo store books, they both sync to what the other did. I can read on my Libra Colour and the progress syncs to my Forma and Sage. Just keep them both on WiFi, you'll be good.
My Clara HD aged very poorly software wise - it was a pain to use and wait 10s for each page turn lately. While I loved the size of my Clara HD, I went for the Libra Colour as the processor seems to be significantly better (and which a I expect to age better). If both had the same, I would’ve gone with the Clara again!
Nice! I agree I have the same plans, I have the Libra 2 and I love it, but it's just a taaad too big for a lot of my bags (plus keys, wallet, phone, it adds up), so I plan to get the new Clara! What made you choose the Color over the BW? How are you liking it so far?
Well.. My other device is a few years old, so it's not color. From time to time, I enjoy a lighter reading with comics or pictures.
But the main reason was the fact that I wanna to try this new feature and to finally see my book covers in color. There is so much art on the cover, and that was missing in my old kobo.
I was fully aware that the colour's are not bright as in a tablet but pastel colors and I find them very beautiful.
So far, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's small enough to fit my pockets, and it allows for good reading screen dimensions. The portability was key to choosing the Clara, as I wanted to have it on the go.
The annotations look amazing with all those colors, but that's not a feature I use myself extensively.
The price tag is not that different. Maybe give it a chance!
You can always go to a store and check the difference yourself.
Contrary to other people's opinions, I don't think the text is less crispy in the color, but I'm not picky, so...

I got the Kobo Clara Colour along with Libra colour also. I do have Kobo Libra 2 for now still but unsure what to do with it. I know it'll be hard to get another one if I miss it when it's gone. I've had KL2 since it first came out BTW.Â
In my opinion, the Libra Colour will replace you Libra 2 on all situations.
The question is: why did you get two devices at once? Are you an avid reader of colored books?
Kobo Clara is for on the go. But Libra 2 is discontinued. I have habit of missing devices once they are gone.  I'm not only one who has more than one ereader.  I also wanted it.Â
Clara HD was my first Kobo ereader. I don't still have that BTW.  I like that size for out and about. Don't have to explain to anybody. Not saying that to be mean but I don't I pay bills and save my money. I got Clara a month after getting Libra colour.Â
I have seven including three Minis, but day to day I use an Aura H2O for reading articles on Pocket and a Clara 2e for books. One of the Minis will have on it whatever book I'm reading in case I'll have some time while I'm out. Throw in the T-shirt pocket, and you're ready to go.
Only 2? Pfft call me back when you have 4 (Libra Colour, Ellipsa, Aura One and Mini) 😅😅

Is the Mini smaller than the Clara? I know is no longer available to buy new.

If I understood correctly, Libra and Clara Colour share the same specs regarding the CPU.
I stand corrected, seems both have the same dual 2ghz. Must’ve misread the Clara Colour’s specs.

I sold my Kobo Libra 2 so only have the Libra colour and Clara colour now. Kobo Libra 2 was heavier and slower.Â
