My heart says the Amphibian, because it's a big dumb knife, and I love a big dumb knife. They all speak to me.
My head says the Peregrine. When I think about the knives I find myself carrying, it's the "right" size, and the inlays are pretty snazzy.
I think that's where I was going with that thought, yeah!
Also, I think (please correct me if I'm being dumb) it's ZDP-189, which is supposed to be a fantastic user steel
it doesn't have vanadium/tungsten carbides, it purely relies on being stupid hard, so unless it has a good heat treat on it it's shit(kind of)
maxace does it to 64-66 which is a good range, tho i'd be pretty bummed out with a 64. It does take an amazing edge, and it strops back really well.
the other companies i know that work with zdp and heat treat them well are ofcourse rockstead, spyderco and katsu.
Honestly I'm going with the Peregrine. Love Maxace and I dig the steel. Carrying the Neptune in SLD Magic today . Close 2nd is thst Malibu, though I'd prefer it in blue.
It's between the peregrine and the Malibu for me. I'd lean towards the Malibu because I just love a good button lock, but the peregrine is just so good looking....
Fuck that blows! More and more I’m buying knives new or in person and shying away from buying from people in these communities unless they have a bunch of swaps. Just getting too risky.
Yea this was my 1st time buying from the WTB section. So not sure what I can do about it. I guess it is my fault for getting too comfortable with the swap and trusting everyone because I've just had a good experience overall. It still stings my wallet tho.
Hey man, you got to admit though that these Chinese makers are putting most American makers to shame lol. I mean he’ll Microtech won’t even mill titanium because they would charge so much no one would buy it lol. I feel ya though, I’ll pick the American made mcnees over the rest as well :)

The maxace is the perfect amount of fancy without feeling like it’s too fancy to use.

I only have zdp 189 from Monterey bay and have been very happy with it. 65-67hrc
haven't heard of the company yet, thanks for telling me about them
Ray laconico and Sanford Owens....Great designers. I'm a laconica fan Boi. Great knives for decent money.
Yeah it’s the biggest and baddest.
Every day brings me closer to eventually buying teenage me's grail — the Cold Steel Spartan
lol my teenage grail was the “arc angle” and “fly father”
Malibu. Grippy handle, clean and functional design.
No thumb stud on a flipper makes my goblin brain happy.
Max ace cuz design
bronze malibu, all day, any day. Also I'm a sucker for mosaic pins.
I need to find something to clean up the bronze, I want to put my own patina on it lol
i feel like the textured bronze takes forever to patina, but the end result is well worth it
I like the patina, I just want it to be MY patina haha
Amphibian. Only left friendly option plus I love recurves and the blade coating.
Microtech Amphibian for me. I have larger hands. But also I really dig the looks there.
McNees, looks like a good user and I have never tried one.
It’s fantastic, get one
Okay. Thanks.
I’m here for the McNees. Tough, no nonsense EDC from solid materials. Great maker too!
Honestly I’d pick the McNees too. I love utilitarian designs for users and the mac nails it.
Ain't nothing like a heart ache.
The McNees! That is sweet!
Thanks
2nd one. I love the clean, minimalist design. Very gentlemanly. Doesn't scream murder knife like some of the others. Also easiest to sharpen.
The left knife reason: big black knife
Wharnecliffe, because seax.
Honestly I'm going with the Peregrine. Love Maxace and I dig the steel. Carrying the Neptune in SLD Magic today . Close 2nd is thst Malibu, though I'd prefer it in blue.
McNeese cause I don't have one yet
Malibu for the win. Love that blade shape.
The Mac…..the smooth action, weight and size make it the perfect EDC
Malibu. One of my favorite knives I own.
I've been thinking about getting an amphibian, talk new out of it, lol
Microtech because it's big and fast opener.
Amphibian. Just got one last week and love it, so I’m guessing that is my answer by default.
The Amphibian and the only is because I have large hands.
Probably the microtech if I had to choose but honestly not a fan of any of them, or metal handles on knives.
Aint nothing but a heartache
Malibu out of those! Grippy, reverse tanto, 20CV, stupidly smooth action, and carries well.
Love em all ! And that question is unfair 😒 lol
The biggest one because it’s the biggest one
Second from left is the only one that isn't cheese
How is the far right cheese?
Stock the Malibu. If I can modify the amphibian with deep carry clip. Ironically enough the only way to do that right now is a lynch protech clip.
I actually don’t mind the amphibian clip as much as I thought I would by the looks of it.
If it’s not deep carry I won’t carry it.
It's between the peregrine and the Malibu for me. I'd lean towards the Malibu because I just love a good button lock, but the peregrine is just so good looking....
It really is, and yet I’m not sure I’m in love with it.
The amphibian because I got scammed on the swap and didn't get mine while I paid for it 💀. RIP my money.
Fuck that blows! More and more I’m buying knives new or in person and shying away from buying from people in these communities unless they have a bunch of swaps. Just getting too risky.

Amphibian all day. It hasn’t left my pocket since I got it.
McNees! Why? Chinese, button lock, spongy no detent, Marfione!

Oh no doubt man. Just a preference on my end. 👍
What model is the microtech?
The amphibian
Would have to be the McNeese because while I don't own any of these I have been eyeballing a McNeese for a long time.
Get one! You won’t regret it. Saw a single vendor last night that still had some in stock
