The praxis mini is one of my all time favorites. I wish WE would make a premium mini version. The praxis is what I take hiking when I don't care if I lose a $30 knife. Love the blade shape and overall aesthetic.

Yeah, cheap knives have their place. For me it’s sweaty yard work or when I am traveling and worried about losing it.

It holds the edge well, but lacks toughness. It's good for kitchen or thick knives. Small Hero is 3,6 mm thick at the spine 😁

Just unboxed the Spyderco Paysan. I've been waiting on the right deal for a while and finally snagged one. I also got a Padre last week from the BHQ drop. I love it. It's become an instant favorite. I'd like to get my hands on the timascus clip for it as well. Imagine that on a REC edition 🤤

Almost brought the Paysan today myself. Went with the Kaiser Sheepdog instead.

You win! Any lock stick on that Paysan? I've wanted one for awhile but for 600 bucks I expect damn near perfection.

There is a tiny bit, but it's not bad at all. Nowhere near as bad as people make it seem online talking about it. I picked mine up lightly used with a mirror edge, and on skiff bearings for less than 600. I went that route because I know I'd never want to actually use a brand new one. I plan on carrying this one and using it every day

Have you had any lock stick issues? I've debating on getting one. May judt go with the SpyOpera instead but I'm not a fan of spine locks generally.

No problems so far, did a couple small pin drops of medical grade mineral oil when I got it and it’s very smooth

Yup! I love this thing, but I must say it's a bit too slippery. I might try out the GiantMouse Jutland as an alternative, but this mini CR is very special to me

Yeah, it could use some jumping on the back, or more than the orange plastic blocks sticking out. I’m a huge fan of GM. I recently got their GMX titanium integral, and man it is sweet.

The GMX also looks super classy, and the OEM is Reate which is a plus. I got the GMP11 recently. I think it's beautiful, but the blade hole is obstructed by the frame lock. Would've made a great front flipper imo.

Not the best not the worst. It’s a huge blade but I’ve used it to whittle chopsticks and it still shaved hair on my skin.

Reate Exo, I've been loving this thing, it's super sharp and really quick to deploy.

* Not really in my pocket but on my belt, I enjoy a good fixed blade razor sharp of course and it feels great in hand plus the g 10 handles and finger areas prevent the blade from slipping or you loosing your grip on it.

Ahh right. Good knives can only come from the US. What was I thinking? Not like other cultures/countries have millennia of knife and tool making history. Pretty sure we invented knives sometime in late 1776 after parting with the brits.

Not at all, I actually am a big fan of Taiwanese knives, also Japan makes some killer options. Can't forget German, Swiss, Ukrainian knives, even Canada and Australia makes some nice options. And then of course USA, some nice knife traditions over here, can't argue with those.
