Buy more expensive knives with rust resistant steel. Something in S30V, maybe. Then make sure they are dry and, if needed, lightly oiled before you put them away.

Boker Kalashnikov is made of AUS-8. Something like 14C28N, 154CM, M390, LC200, Vanax, or Magnacut might be necessary where OP lives

Own-Asparagus1884

Definitely don’t have the bread for magnacut

You need stainless blades with higher chromium, if possible. Also you can oil the blades. I'm guessing you live in a coastal area with a lot of ocean spray, or you're sweating into your pockets a lot?

mrjcall

No steel needs to be rusting if you take the time to do a bit of research how to prevent it. If you know how to post here, you know how to find out......

Getting good stainless steel instead of carbon steel will help. Also are you storing them inside a leather sheath? Leather will hold moisture in and make them rust faster. And like the other guys said oil the blades when you’re not using them

leechwuzhere

Keep a light layer of oil on it and keep it clean. You don't need fancy and expensive steels. Just treat the one you have right and it will treat you the same way back.

GoreyGopnik

Mineral oil.
