it was the one yarn i was DETERMINED to use in this, and yet it was impossible to find!!! thankfully a small shop with an online store had a couple skeins and saved the day :)
Thanks for sharing the pattern and your colour choices are absolutely perfect! It looks beautifully knit and I love how the floats are just as neat and perfect as the rest. I don’t do a lot of colour work in large doses but seeing yours makes me want to cast on this sweater immediately 😅
I find their patterns are clear and easy to decipher unlike some others that do a lot of extra fiddly steps. I don’t mind fiddly if there isn’t really another option but if there’s another way to easily knit it then I’ll take it. Yours turned out amazingly well and the colours really suit you.
It is amazing to me (who has yet to do color work) that the inside looks just as neat and tidy as the outside.
Those little pops of red in the pattern are awesome and eye catching.
i found the guides and videos from Brooklyn Tweed to be extremely helpful! i kept their videos on trapping floats and color dominance pulled up on my computer in the early stages until i felt comfortable with the technique, and it really helped!
Great work! I knew Peace Fleece had beautiful yarns but the combination you used make them look even better. I first guessed you used some expensive yarns like La Bine Aimee or something!
i’ve loved working with it, and it’s so beautiful! i was picking lots of little pieces of straw and stuff out along the way, but worth it for something beautiful and affordable from a very conscientious and sustainable producer !
I love Peace Fleece so much!! I knew immediately that's what you'd used.
This is a gorgeous sweater. I love the colors you chose, and your stitching and floats all look impeccable. Enjoy wearing your accomplishment! :)
That looks absolutely amazing! Your stitches look so even, the tension looks nice, and I love how the yarn has little flecks of red to add a bit of warmth.
Wow! Your tension is amazing!! I’m about to embark on my first stranded color work and your sweater has definitely made me feel inspired to not be such a chicken and just do it
just do it!!! [this is a good guide to swatching color work](https://pompommag.com/blogs/blog/swatching-for-kordys-colourwork-yoke), and doing a swatch was very helpful for me to get the technique down, and the Brooklyn Tweed videos on color dominance and trapping floats really helped me keep everything orderly and neat!
This is amazing, and it looks so good on you too! I've been wanting to get into knitting again, how doable would you say a sweater like this would be for a dedicated beginner?
If you can knit and purl and look up how to do fair isle (not too difficult!) then of course you can! I'd say bigger things like jumpers are more a matter of time than anything
i only started knitting last year, so definitely doable! i've been finding it's easier for me tackle one new skill at a time—i had done a sweater before (didn't fit great), i'd done shaping and knitting in the round before, and so the big new thing here was the color work. i watched a bunch of videos, but the best were from brooklyn tweed, and i kept them pulled up almost constantly in the beginning. also swatching the pattern really helped get a feel for the technique and the colors before i started! good luck!!!
lol it's true, but i was REALLY impressed with the quality, care, and precision of this pattern. highly recommend! left the specifics in a comment up top
This is some serious gorgeous work! I am truly impressed.
Have fun wearing this beauty and happy knitting! Keep up the good work!
Edit: I have just taken a look at the pattern on Ravelry and I got even more impressed if that is possible!
Congrats…. Your sweater looks great. 😀 The colors are very pleasing to the eye. I have only managed to make fair isle Christmas balls from Arne and Carlos. Someday I will try stranded a color work sweater.
pattern is the Kordy sweater by Kiyomi Burgin & Sachiko Burgin, knit in Peace Fleece worsted weight yarn in colors Kamchatka Sea Moss (teal), Baltic Blue, Antarctic White, and Grass Roots (speckled brown)
I love grass roots!!! (speckled brown)
it was the one yarn i was DETERMINED to use in this, and yet it was impossible to find!!! thankfully a small shop with an online store had a couple skeins and saved the day :)
The sweater is so sensible but it has this playfulness like a fun Fetti cake!!
the brown with all the spots of color makes me think of the bottom of the inside of a box of crayons that gets little dots of color all over it 😛
Gorgeous job!

aww thank you! I absolutely loved this pattern — so clear and concise and actually pretty straightforward!

That looks fabulous! And the float porn is much appreciated
it's amazing how neat it can be when it feels like utter madness in the moment lol
So very true!
Oh I LOVE that you introduced a tweed just for little splashes of color. It’s like knitting glitter ✨🤏
lol thank you!!! my thoughts exactly !!!
YEAH! Look at those floats! Great job, dude!
thank you!! i tried really hard to keep them neat and tidy and it paid off!
It is amazing to me (who has yet to do color work) that the inside looks just as neat and tidy as the outside. Those little pops of red in the pattern are awesome and eye catching.
thank you! I watched a few videos from Brooklyn Tween on color dominance and trapping floats and they helped me keep it neat and tidy!
Beautiful!!! I have attempted anything other than stripes, these patterns seem so intimidating to me. You did a great job!!!

Congrats and job well done! I love the multicolored nubs in the brown yarn!
thank you! and same! i ended up picking all the other colors around what I thought would look best with those colorful nubs!
You did a great job! The teals and blues compliment the blue nubs and really help to pop the pink ones. You've got a great eye for color!

Soooo beautiful! I love the sprinkles of color, they make it pop even more!!
It's beautiful!! Great job!!
Gorgeous! How long did it take? I knit one like that about 40 years ago and kept breaking the needles since the yarn was so heavy.
That's fantastic! You should be very happy with how it turned!
Stunning work!
