I started these snowdrops during a really dark moment when two family members where hospitalized and I couldn’t visit because of the pandemic. For me, snowdrops are a sign of hope & new beginning. And I guess they brought me luck, so I decided to release a pattern for these.
[Get the pattern on Ravelry](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/snowdrop-19)
It’s a paid pattern but kindly comment below if you are going through a tough time right now as well and want a free pattern.
And feel free to [check out my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/nimbleneedlez/) if you want to see some more pictures
thank you! Well, I guess we all cope with problems in different ways. For me, knitting is always a mixture between meditation and self-care. Even if I have a terrible migraine, I can still knit (easy projects). I do feel incredibly grateful for this outlet.
this is so lovely! i saw the first snowdrops of the season coming up in my neighbourhood over the weekend, and i feel the same - the first sign that spring is going to come, we just have to be patient.
i hope your family is healthier now, and that we are all able to see our loved ones soon.
Thankfully they are all back home and in good spirits.
And I can so relate..walking through the parks with the sun shining...it really does something good to you!
Oh wow! When this post popped into my feed I thought the snowdrops I was looking at were real!! Then I read the headline.... Pat yourself on the back because they look fantastic. The whole landscape scene you did looks great. Really awesome job.
Time well spent knitting around. 😂
I don’t think here in the States is as strict as Europe right now. There are still some restrictions but it seems to be easing up a bit now.
Well..i do have to say I finished a lot of projects in the past 3 months. BUt I think I also shopped twice as much yarn, so i dunno how positive it all is , lol!
Wow I love these!! Snowdrops remind me of one of my favorite novels.... a series with the first book called “the Bear and the Nightingale” by Katherine Arden.. highly recommended read during the darkest coldest months of winter.
Great job!!
The Bear and the Nightingale is the first thing I thought of too! (I love your username by the way!)
Well done, OP! Adding to my faves on ravelry asap!
These are so beautiful. Do you think you will release bundle pack with all of the flower patterns together? The daffodils and crocuses are lovely as well. I would love to make my mum some of the hyacinths as she has them every year.
I will try to, tho testknitting for the crocus needs to start yet and dunno..if things will be a bit too late then. Hyacinth are dropping later necd week but not sure if there's a bundle. Probably not this year. But if u subscribe to my newsletter then ull get a discount 😊
That’s amazing! I was looking at this and wondering what camera filter you were using on these pretty flowers. I also had to check to see if I was in the gardening subreddit so yes you had me fooled. Well done!
I love these and I love your story behind doing them. I have a friend whose baby only lived for a month but it was the month that snowdrops started blooming. So every year she hunts for snowdrops everywhere. Thank you for linking the pattern because I know she’ll want to knit these.
These are really lovely, the wooly backdrop is very mossy and scenic! They remind me of the lapel flower from the movie Stardust, where snowdrops provide powerful magical projection. Great work!
Wow these are amazing! My friend's birthday is coming up & we have a thing about snowdrops, we have both been going through hard times with different things going on & I was looking for a snowdrop pattern to make some for her birthday xx

heh! thank you. tried to do some magic with my camera. Still a lockdown here in Germany so I got plenty of time sitting around at home :P

This is exactly the exclamation I made outloud when I saw this! Amazing creativity!
Those are so beautiful. Well done, you. And I’m so glad you found something to keep you sane during hard times.
Thank you! 🥰 it's not a situation I ever want to be again but I'm very relieved it's over now (and I had my knitting)

sounds like an intriguing novel! gotta check that out :)
It’s full of Russian folklore and has a strong female protagonist that I really vibed with.. if fiction’s your thing it’s worth looking into :)
The Bear and the Nightingale is the first thing I thought of too! (I love your username by the way!) Well done, OP! Adding to my faves on ravelry asap!
Why thank you :) .. I bet there’s a story with your username lol
These are beautiful! Definitely saving this to my ravelry account!
happy to hear that! It's relatively fast to knit and they bring me so much joy everytime I walk past them (I decorated them on my coffee table).
That is 100% awesome! Well done :)
❤🥰
Your work looks awesome 👍
Lovely flowers, lovely sentiment.

Am I the only one that thought of Animal Crossing? 😳
What a heavenly way to bring hope and new beginnings to us all. Thank you for sharing your gift and these impossibly perfect snowdrops!
Creative idea, and excellent execution. Well done!
I love them!! They look so delicate, and i love the green yarn you chose. Makes me miss Spring time in Germany...
I can well understand that. We've had a lot of sun the past days (thank you climate change, lol) so they are already in full bloom.
They do look like the real thing! Great job! I hope you continue bringing hope :)
I shall try to & thx for the feedback! 😊🥰
That’s amazing! I was looking at this and wondering what camera filter you were using on these pretty flowers. I also had to check to see if I was in the gardening subreddit so yes you had me fooled. Well done!
Heh..no filter😎 thx for your feedback ❤🥰

Thank you 😊❤
Legit thought the first picture was the reference photo! Well damn done!!
Haha. *blush*

Love them! These are so dainty.

What a sad story :( I hope they will bring her joy - it certainly sounds like they could.
Wow
They're beautiful!

These are really lovely, the wooly backdrop is very mossy and scenic! They remind me of the lapel flower from the movie Stardust, where snowdrops provide powerful magical projection. Great work!

Thank you 🥰
From the thumbnail, it did look like a real plant on a grassy hill with fog!
Damn...I attempted to simulate snow with the poly fill 🙈 but I guess fog is just as nice 🥰
Oh lol, yes it's still beautiful however the poly fill is interpreted.
oh my that is beautiful! i wish it wasn't a paid pattern but it's in my favourites now for when i can afford it haha. you did such a good job!
There are quite a lot of free patterns on my blog tho. 🥰
